Friends wanted

I can throw any of my characters at him, if you'd like. Evander, my gryphon, is a bit shy and reserved, but is fairly easy to get along with so long as Marcus doesn't call him "bird brain". Hans is a bit whacky and all over the place, but means no harm and gets along just fine with anyone that can keep up with him. Vadim, though... The best I can describe this fellow as is an adorable Machiavellian asshole who might actually try to make friends or might just be using someone for his own ends.

So I have a prospective character to throw at Marcus, but I want to give a player-based warning first: I tend to make a lot of drug and alcohol use references with Lochlann, so if this is something that makes you uncomfortable, I want to check before proposing it. There's a link to Lochlann Cabyll-Ushtey in my characters tab in signature.

Basically, Lochlann has difficulty making friends--especially male friends--because he's standoffish, aggressive, and tends to sabotage relationships with his drug and alcohol use.

He and Marcus both seem to be the kind of people who hang out in libraries. Lochlann also is slipping behind in his school work--maybe Marcus could accidentally be assigned his tutor by a mutual teacher, and their friendship sort of evolves from there? Lochlann will be gruff and kind of hostile in the beginning, but he could warm up in theory.

If this isn't something you're looking for, I understand completely!

Belladonna, while not a standard choice for a girlfriend, mainly because she's an android (though still an option ;D), she could be a close/good friend. She's a fast-learning one with a healthy sense of curiosity, so Marcus' tendency to branch off to random facts would be something Belladonna could appreciate. Although she's listed as a 7th-grader, she will be accelerated right up to college-level, and maybe Marcus could help her learn everything she needs to learn to get that acceleration.

There's also the Hel'Saries, Devias and Lorencia. They're a bit younger, but Devias is a bookish individual too and Lorencia is a lively one. Though at the moment the latter has a girlfriend just to let you know. Both of these two would also appreciate the random facts.

If you want another friend that's prone to make trouble, then Ater can help with that. He'd be the kind of buddy you see in anime. Can be kind of silly, likes standing up for friends to the point of wanting to fight for them, you know, the "Lancer" type in a protagonist group. Although there might be some side effects in the form of Marcus being more reckless and confrontational over time, and that's not just because Ater's personality is rubbing off on him.

*Shrugs* Belladonna's an android, but I can see how the age thing would get a few looks despite that. I wouldn't be surprised though if they bump into each other in the library.

As for the Hel'Saries, I get what you mean with Devias but since you brought it up, having them be at the same desk in the library just being quiet and minding their own business with zero interaction just sounds funny to me.

Lochlann is 100% a delinquent and once Marcus wins him over, Lochlann would definitely beat people up for him....probably whether Marcus asks or not. Lochlann has a penchant for jumping in and out of windows, too. This could be interesting.
