The anger of how he was so freshly thrown from Angelo's office still fresh on his mind, he didn't gain any information and wasn't able to learn what the police knew. As one of the leaders of the Black Wings this was just unacceptable, though it really wasn't much in a way of a failure when looked at from an objective point of view, the loss of the warehouse base was a huge blow to their regular business. Many of the customers that bought drugs and other paraphernalia, would seek to buy it elsewhere in there absence and this was all due to one person - Zoraida Del Bosque.

During the attack on the warehouse, he was made aware of the situation and managed to move most of their materials and personnel to the second base but he never expected such a brazen attack in the first place. It was time to have a nice chat with the girl, and find out who her friend was that was with her that night.

As the black smoke appeared outside Woodland Imports main office, the older man exited and simply walked right through the front door, he knew that Angelo had already come but there was nothing he could do about that now. When he entered a few civilian workers among the many seemed to stop and stare, it was difficult to tell their features from the distance but something was off about them. "Oh, don't worry about me gentlemen, KEEP WORKING," and with that the workers continued to work their scheduled jobs while the rest seemed a bit confused.

Nick shook his head and switched gears, a smile appearing on his face as he approached Zoraida's office in his fine suit and tie, and he knocked at the door. "Excuse me, Detective Nick Miller with Manta Carlos Police," he stated professionally.

Zora was just getting off a phone call with her grandfather about some business transactions and information about borrowing from DB Holdings - her company had just acquired a distillery in the Caribbean and she was thinking about financing it through the holding, and not directly through Woodland.

Getting off the phone, she looked up and saw the detective. "Yes, can I help you?" she asked evenly as she regarded him guardedly, thinking it strange since she had just had a visit from Detective Angelo not that long ago.

Nick looked into the open office upon hearing her voice and greeted her with a smile, hidding any unpleasant feelings away for now. The truth of the matter was that many of the Black Wings had shown interest in killing this girl, but he didn't fall into that camp and instead wanted to handle it peacefully if possible. Stepping just inside and he nodded politely, and he stroked his beard a little before he began. "I sure hope you can, Ma'am, I'm aware that Police Sergeant Angelo has already conducted a interview but I am going to need to ask you a few questions of my own." it in truth would have been easier to control the spread of information if he had gotten to her first, but that was not possible anymore.

As he walked a bit closer to the desk, Nick knew that it would be easy to just take an aggressive action and kill her; probably even remove her body so no one ever finds it. However now that other police officers had there eyes on her, it would draw unnecessary attention which he had told his own men not to do... for now.

Looking at the police detective, hearing his words, Zora nodded and gestured for him to have a seat. "Yes, I did talk to Detective Genovese," she stated evenly as she unconsciously scanned the room for Broen. He had stepped out for a second to take a phone call, and hadn't returned yet.

"What can I do for you today, Detective Miller?" Zoraida stated calmly, friendly enough. Hiding the fact that she was not having an overly good feeling about this. Her paranoid survival instincts starting to kick in.

Nick was about to start when he heard her mention Angelo as a police detective, it was something he had to clear up before he began. "Oh, Angelo is NOT a police detective, Ms. Del Bosque," he put special emphasis on how he was not and hated the idea. "But, that is beside the point."

Slowly and steadily he approached, but did not sit down as Zoraida suggested with her gesture.

Walking over, he stood at the foot of Zoraida's desk, and didn't say anything for a short while as his eyes scanned the room before finally falling on Zoraida. It was important that there be no surprises. He expected a bodyguard of some sort, but they were absent or did not exist.

He continued, "Since Angelo has already went through this with you, I will skip to the point," he leaned onto her desk to get closer to her. "Why did you choose to attack the Black Wings base that was hidden in the old warehouses?" he paused and leaned a bit more closely. "Oh and please don't say you didn't. I would appreciate you not wasting time with lies."

Zora just leant back in her chair when the detective started saying she attacked the warehouse and considered him coolly before she spoke - her instincts had been correct, she mused grimly. He definitely was not a police officer, or if he was, he was a corrupt one. The "real" police didn't come storming in making accusations. She had had experience with the law in the past and knew, for a fact, that this was not procedure, and far from proper police behaviour.

Staring for a second longer at Nick Miller - she'd not give him the title "detective" in her mind, separating man from uniform, from his supposed job. Suddenly, Zoraida noticed an imperceptible something, familiar presence perhaps, Broen had returned, he was somewhere in the office, but hidden from view and from anyone's knowledge he was there. Spending more time with him lately had made her extremely attuned to his presence.

"I really have no idea what you are talking about, Detective Miller," she answered glibly. Deliberately ignoring his veiled threats. She was tired of being threatened, and this just added to her annoyance.

"I did not attack any warehouse," she said, which technically was correct. She hadn't attacked anyone - defended herself, perhaps, but definitely not attacked. "Whatever information you have is incorrect. I'm afraid, you have been misformed," she replied icily as she met his gaze calmly.

"I said not to waste time with lies, I guess you want to be difficult," Nick's words were more casual this time as he pulled away, he didn't even bother taking notes as he expected that she would be a touch nut to crack. She was after all Tomas's sister, if she was anything like Tomas, she was not to be underestimated.

Nick saw the defiant gaze and chose to ignore it and go further in his questions. "Let's put that aside for now," he fixed his glasses as he turned away from Zoraida, "It was brought to my attention by a certain man, that you had a cellphone with a Black Dragon symbol on it, he was quite convinced that you were a member of the Black Wings yourself--" he paused as he cleared his throat. "Well, that isn't true, but you still had the phone according to him."

He turned back to face her, "May I see that phone?" he asked calmly, a smile still on his face.

Seemingly ignoring his words about her being difficult, Zora watched Nick carefully, on guard now. She looked relaxed, but she was ready for an attack of any sort, her training was starting to take root, become part of her subconscious, after the continual and unexpected attacks from her bodyguard - Broen did not hold back with his attacks, and now she was grateful for it. So she just stayed, relaxed, but waiting, and watching, and ready...

"A cell phone?" she asked curiously, acting like she didn't know what he meant while she searched her memory trying to think who knew she had the phone except the elf she had stopped to help. Then, suddenly, it dawned on her - the old man that she stopped to ask. Oh well, that was of no importance, that person only saw her with the phone but had no idea if she still had it or not. She could simply say he was mistaken - his word against hers.

"Sorry, Detective Miller, I don't have nor own a cell phone of that description," she said pointedly as she stood up and walked away from her desk, wanting some distance between her and the detective. It was true, she didn't have the phone there, it was in a safe place. She had asked Broen to put it somewhere safe, but not tell her. She did not want to know until she needed it.

Nick laughed a little when she claimed to not have the cellphone which was in fact not a cellphone at all but a magic tool, this particular magic tool was used to allow those without magic to cast simple spells using their own physical stamina but of course there was a price to be paid in the use as it slowly put strain in their mental state; some of the users of that magic tool were driven insane. If possible he needed to get it back but it wasn't that important.

"I see, it is a shame you don't have it still, you might have been able to use it as leverage against the Black Wings," he said as he watched Zoraida get up from her seat and move away.

It was quite obvious that she was suspicious of him, but he decided to continue, back to the original topic at hand. He heard from the other Black Wings members that a man in red was with her, particularly Daud who was defeated twice by him. Maybe she cares what happened to the man she was with, "On that day, The Black Wings fought a man in red at the warehouses twice and he was able to defeat the people on site, however he was injured badly in the process. If he is still alive the Black Wings would be after him--" he paused. "--and anyone who might have been with him."

His eyes followed Zoraida to see if there was any reaction.

Zora shrugged lightly at the officer's words, pretending not to know or care what he was talking about, "Now, why would I ever need leverage against these so-called, "Black Wings"? she asked as she walked over to the sideboard and helped herself to a glass of cold water, and took a small sip.

"And, once again, Detective Miller... Why does this concern me?" she asked pointedly as she walked back, glass still in hand, keeping her expression neutral. Knowledge that the elf had been hurt was surprising news to her, she had not, in fact, known what had happened to him after leaving the grounds that late afternoon, evening. To hear that he was hurt, actually worried her somewhat. She hoped he was alright.
