Evangelina was enjoying a rather quiet day, she only had one client meeting that just ended, the florist was for once doing his job right and the bridal gown shop hadn't lost any of the bridesmaid dresses. Everything seemed to be going along smoothly with the caterer as well, since Evangelina was on the phone with them at this moment.
"Yes, I want them there by 9am on Saturday. No, good sir, you are a baker, and I know for a fact that you wake up at 4am, 9am is not too early. Yes, I know. Yes, yes. Very well, 9:30am, but not a minute later. You know the schedule is strict. Yes, thank you. Goodbye."
Evangelina ended the call, and took a deep breath. She really needed to consider hiring a caterer on site, this wasn't going to work for much longer when the orders got bigger and bigger as the business grew.
Evangelina was taking a shortcut through the park to her car, that she had parked by the bridal gown shop. She was sipping a Starbucks coffee, strawberry macchiato with chocolate whipped cream. Evangelina had a hopeless sweet tooth.
Evangelina took a moment to look around, the air had a nip to it but otherwise the weather was quite pleasant. Although Evangelina spied some darker clouds over the horizon. She sighed, hopefully the twins had packed their umbrellas.
Evangelina was distracted from her thoughts when she saw a familiar figure ahead. Was it one of her old customers? She'd have to stop and say hi. Evangelina turned to face their direction, already having a professional smile on her face, but that was wiped and changed into an expression of confusion and shock when Evangelina saw who was couple of meters before her.
Cecete?
Evangelina almost dropped her coffee as she froze in place, staring at her old friend, who was supposed to be dead. She didn't feel like she could breathe, was she dreaming? Evangelina pinched herself hard, no, this was true. Without thinking Evangelina ran forward, already crying, and spread her arms when she got closer to Cecete.
"Cecete! Oh my goodness, yo-!"
Evangelina was cut off when she tripped over nothing, thanks to her curse, and fell flat on her face. Her coffee, thankfully only warm and not hot, flew in an arch and some of it should've landed on Cecete's legs of feet.
