Evangelina let out a small sob, when Cecete let her hug her and even hugged back. That was how relieved Evangelina was that Cecete didn't reject her. But she refused to become a sobbing, crying mess here and thus Evangelina pulled herself together.

When Cecete pulled away from the hug eventually, slowly, Evangelina could see the change in her expression. Evangelina got concerned, was Cecete's head hurting again? But instead the woman said she...saw something. Evangelina blinked and touched a hand to Cecete's arm, her eyes full of hope.
"You...you just called me Eva. Cecete, what did you see? Or maybe you shouldn't share, your head might hurt again. Oh, but this might be a big step. No, but your health is more important. Anyway!"
Evangelina stopped her own babbling and the same expression of amazement, and joy, spread on her face as she looked at Cecete.
"That's wonderful news, my dear!"

Evangelina's eyes widened a bit when Cecete described what she had seen, Evangelina knew what she was talking about. It had been the day Evangelina had showed Cecete the dress she had thought would be perfect for her friend. And Cecete had loved it, she had said out loud she had loved it, and hugged Eva. That memory was very dear to Evangelina, and she was moved to tears when she realized it was important for Cecete too since she remembered it. Eva wanted to hug Cecete again, thank her a hundred times over for not forgetting her, but Cecete still had more to say and Evangelina listened.

"I will be with you every step of the way, Cecete. You remembered something about us, that means surely you can remember the rest. Oh, I'm so happy for you, I feel like my heart is overflowing."
Eva couldn't help herself, and gave Cecete a quick hug and squeeze before wiping her tears away and resuming the listening. Though what Cecete said nexg didn't help with the tears, on the contrary they made Evangelina want to cry even more.
"No, it's you who was, is, an excellent friend, I...I missed you so much, Cecete. And I'm the luckiest person in the whole multiverse to get my closest friend back, despite being cursed to bring bad luck. Well, more like cursed to be clumsy, but that is not the point. I hope you are here to stay this time, Cecete."

Evangelina was a wedding planner, which meant she dealt with weeping brides, bridesmaids and mothers and mother-in-laws and whatever relative you could name on a regular basis. She always, always, carried tissues with her. But in this situation Evangelina had completely forgotten about them and thus when Cecete started cleaning her face with a handkerchief Evangelina was grateful and smiled, sniffing once.
"Thank you, usually I'm more put-together."
Evangelina laughed a bit and swiped some hair off her face.

Evangelina nodded at Cecete's words, and gently took her hands and looked her in the eye.
"You have all the time in the world, sweetie. As much as I want you to remember, I also want you to stay healthy and not push yourself. So I think we could get you off this rollercoaster for a bit. Would you like to join me for dinner, or just coffee? Whichever you prefer."

Evangelina smiled and laughed a little at Cecete's reaction at coffee, she hadn't forgotten about her friend's preferences. Evangelina remembered they'd had this exhange before, and back then Eva had said the same thing.
"Having coffee is more of an expression, really. What I mean is lets go to a cafe, sit down, drink whatever we want and talk about nothing and everything."
Eva would stand up and gently tug at Cecete's hand, telling her to get up too.

As the two would head towards the entrance of the park Eva could not stop smiling and looking at Cecete.
"I don't think I'll ever be able to express how happy I am that you're here again."
And Evangelina couldn't even begin to imagine, how Alex would feel when he heard about this.

It was most important for Evangelina, that Cecete was happy, and as the woman expressed it Eva answered in kind, and linked their arms on their elbows.
"Then I think we are on the same page."
Eva answered, laughing a little, and lead them towards her car, her heart full.
