The garden was quiet today. She had tucked herself between some flowerbeds, where she could hide in the shade and just relax. All her afternoon classes had been canceled, but instead of getting caught up on her homework, she fled to the garden. It was cool, and the sun was hidden behind the clouds, so it was the perfect day to shirk all her responsibilities.
Along the roots of the tree, crocuses were blooming; they hadn't been planted by somebody, so she assumed that they were fair game to pick. Weaving them together into chains was incredibly difficult for her, but she loved the way they looked. If only her fingers would obey...
Twenty minutes later, she only managed to tie together three flowers.
"Today just isn't my day, is it?" She mumbled, tossing the flowers over her shoulder.
