She honestly thought she would never get to the island. The traveling was endless which was exciting, but terrifying at the same time. She had never been outside of her village before and now here she was at the Academy; the start of her own little adventure. The people seemed really nice, especially the administrator and the staff. Some of them of course felt the need to cater to her a little more because of her lack of sight so she allowed them to guide her to the dorms. Classes started in the morning and she was to be given special books to keep up with everyone else. Braille...well, it was a good thing that was forced upon her.
Going through the school was overwhelming. She could tell that there were so much people! It was more than what she usually dealt with, but she sucked it up and continued with her guide. The tour felt like it went on for ages and going from her flight directly into admission, it was a little difficult to stay focused. When it came to finally being escorted to her dorm room, it was the end of the tour.
Oh, and she was to have a roommate.
It was difficult to stifle her shock. G-Great, she never roomed with anyone before! What was this?! She was promised she was going to have her own room...Sigh, maybe they changed their minds or dorms got too full. Then the guide reassured her that it was only temporary until one of the rooms open up. Well, that was good, but still...What if the guy was a jerk? What if they were going to make fun of her or steal her stuff because they assumed she was blind and stupid? There was uncertainty there...But oh well. What could she do? Nothing right now, so there was no sense trying to complain about it. If they stole, then they stole. She didn't have much on her person anyway other than the clothes she came with.
Like always, Nao surveyed the room, taking note where everything was when it came to furniture was placed. Closet? Check. Bathroom? Check. Apparently the room even sported two separate beds and desks. She claimed the bed against the wall and settled her bag down. Clothes were being laid out on the bed and...Oh, the door clicked. Someone was coming in! This ...felt different. She stopped and faced the door in the spacey dorm. "Hi there! You must be my new roommate!"
