[Field Trip] A Little Adventure? [Dala]

"We can go look around, then," Adelene replied with a nod. She was holding out her hand for Lexi to take, seeing that they were about to move already. Most likely they were going inside to grab some food first.

"Let's go grab some food. I haven't eaten either."

So Adelene led the way inside. There should be a restaurant area on the top deck, it would just be somewhere around a corner. "Oh, do you want a full meal or do you want pastries, Lexi?"

Lexi took Adelene's hand as they were about to leave. getting food first though sounded like a great idea as she smiled. Though she was shorter than Adelene. She seemed very trusting of her. the last people who Lexi was babysat by were the same. Octain trusted them as she hummed to herself lightly.

"That sounds perfect!"

She stated as they walked around inside. Lexi never saw such an elegant ship. It was almost like it was for people like dad. Smart and sophisticated. She admired the art and everything. Almost being pulled my Adelene as they got to the restaurant area.

She looked around at everything and her eyes widened. All the pastries. All the food. She felt like drooling but stopped as she looked up at Adelene. Her ears drooped almost onto her head as she looked up.

"C-Can I have both..?" She said. Trying not to cause a scene. She was hungry. Though she needed to control her hunger. Her heightened senses made everything smell delicious. Wanting EVERYTHING. While still trying to eat like a lady. "I mean.. I eat a lot.." She said. Trying to be nice and all before looking at everything it all looked so good to her. As if it was prepared just for her.

Now, a girl that eats a lot... That was something Adelene was familiar with. She had a friend like that, and she actually found it adorable when girls don't hold back on food. She nodded at Lexi with an approving "Mm!" before taking her to a table near a window where they can eat whatever they want in peace. There was an open buffet for both pastries and main courses, but there were also menus resting on each table. Their table was round and was just big enough for the two of them.

"Here, Lexi. Take a seat." She held a chair for the little girl and waited for her to settle down before she moved away. "Do you want anything from the buffet? Or do you want to order from... this." She sat down opposite of Lexi and held up the menu, pushed one towards the girl, before taking a look inside at her own copy. They had a wide range of dishes to pick from, which actually made it difficult to choose or even look at them all.

They all had one thing in common though: they all looked like the most expensive dishes Adelene's ever seen... Well, probably aside from the ones she had during that fancy dinner with Loch--

She didn't want to think about that.

"Thank you Addy." Lexi said as she sat down at the table, sitting in her chair as she was fixing her dress before fully sitting down. Crossing her legs as she heard the words. 'Buffet' Her eyes opened as she looked around. "Buffet!?" She said. Almost jumping out of her seat. She was excited. "S-Sorry..' Lexi said. Calming down a bit. Then awaited for daddy to scold her when she realized.. her dad wasn't here. She then looked around and eyed the buffet like a hunter and her prey. "Well.. I mean.. What would you want? I mean.. The buffet sounds nice but the menu sounds good to.."

Giving it some thought she then made her decision on her own. Thoughtlessly. "i'm going to go to the buffet.." She said as she got up the from the table and made her way there. Trying her best to keep in Addy's line of sight as she hummed to herself.

"This is the way we fill the plate, fill the plate, fill the plate, this is the way we fill the plate so noone's eaten by lexi~" She sand to herself gently with a soft giggle. Filling her plate with lots of different foods that the buffet had to offer. Creating an almost hill of various things.

Taking her time before she held the plate over her head. Taking careful steps not to trip before making it back to the table as she looked at the plate she had created. Something that looks like more of an eating challenge type thing while she awaited for Addy to either order or come back from the buffet as well.

"So.. Daddy trusts you a lot." She said when Addy was free. "he.. Doesn't trust many people with looking after me." Looking at her food. Pretty happy about the food before looking at Addy with a bigger smile. "So if he trusts you.. I trust you too!"

Lexi was an adorable little girl, Addy saw that now. She giggled and nodded when Lexi said she'd go for the buffet. "Tell me if you need help, Lexi!" she said, just before a waiter approached the table to take her order. She ordered some white pasta and two strawberry milkshakes. She was planning to grab some pastries from the buffet though. So she stood up and went to that part of the counter, took a huge ceramic white plate, and placed all kinds of pastries she found mouthwatering. Danish pastry with peaches and blueberries, strawberry shortcake cupcakes for her and Lexi, brownies, and a bowl of fresh strawberries swimming in chocolate sauce. She came back to their table just as Lexi got there, and she set down the plate in the middle.

"Wow that's a lot," she said as she saw Lexi's plate. She can't help but smile; this kind of appetite reminded her of another very adorable friend. She sat down and waited for her pasta.

She gave Lexi a smile. Surprisingly, it was genuine. She was very pleased every time she heard that Octain trusted her, and it didn't matter how many times it's told; she will always be awestruck by it. "Thank you, Lexi. That's sweet of you. And I hope you don't mind telling your father for me that I appreciate his trust? I appreciate your trust, too. Trust is very important."

Her pasta arrived soon enough. It was served, and the two ladies finally had the table all to themselves as the waiter disappeared. "Good to know I'm still good enough for someone," she chuckled.

"Uh huh!" Lexi said as she eyed the plate once more. "I eat a lot! Daddy says it's because I'm growing and I'm different than everyone else." She said with a giggle. It was true. She was different. Though she was an experiment, it changed her apatite. Her stomach constantly growled when she was hungry.

"I'm sure you'll get to tell him! Daddy's great with telling if someone is trustworthy or not. Some people don't like him because of the mask but my dad is my dad." She said with a smile on her face. The plate was almost taunting her so she hissed at it back as she looked at Addy with a blush. "S-Sorry.. I don't have cat ears for a reason.. Technically I am part cat.."

She watched the pasta plate go infront of Addy as she grinned a bit. Looking at her own plate as she picked up the fork and knife and almost began to start as she heard a voice.

'Don't you think you shouldn't eat so much?'

"Umm... This is what daddy makes for me almost every time he makes dinner.."

'Oh.. I should have a talk with your dad.'

"Maybe.."

The server then left as Lexi began to eat. Taking forks full as she chewed and kept her table manners for it. She looked at Addy when swallowed.

"So what do you think of Daddy Octain?"

Adelene began to eat. She'd take a bit of the sauce from the center and twirl it with some pasta, and take little portions at a time. She'd chew slowly, and then do it all over again. After that, she looked up at Lexi and smiled sheepishly.

Octain was a great man.

"I respect him very much," she started. "When I didn't know him personally yet, I keep hearing that he's scary, but I don't get intimidated by teachers easily so I just grew curious. When we've finally met, it just became easier for me to know that he's really kind and friendly." She began twirling some pasta around her fork again. "Although he really is mysterious."

She grinned at the memory of their first personal encounter. She never would've expected that she'll get to share some stories with a professor like Octain, and in such a friendly and casual setting. "I met his familiar, the mountain. That was kinda scary. But I guess that just shows how strong your dad is. Right?"

Lexi just kept eating. Enjoying the taste of the food that she had taken from the buffet. Loaded with so much food she could be fed for weeks if she wasn't the eater she was. Letting some of her primal instincts open as she began to eat a little sloppily, yet still retaining the mannerisms that Octain drilled into her. To be a good roll model for those around her.

"A lot of people respect Daddy.. either through fear or those who know him and talk to him." She said with a smirk. She loved her dad a lot. Even if he wasn't her real dad. "W-well it's the mask that people find scary.. I was scared of him once.. For about a year I was.. Though he's a great guy! He's the best!" She said with a giggle. "Uh huh.. Not many people has seen his face. Genesis does.. I always see his mask on the dinning room table when I get home from being babysat every so often.. then she comes down, gets the mask, welcomes me home and gives the mask back to daddy." She looked around.

"G-General Mountain? It's a terrifying place.. So high up in the clouds.. I've been on it once. It's fun! Daddy is the most powerful wizard in the world!" She said putting her hands into the world, almost tossing her fork into the air as it dropped and landed on her head, bouncing off as it landed on the table. Rubbing her hand as she spoke next "owie..." Looking up at the ceiling with a 'humf' before picking up her fork again to eat.

"Oh dear, be careful." Adelene had slightly flinched when Lexi began doing gestures and tossed her fork in the air. She grabbed a few pieces of paper napkin and leaned over the table slightly, patting off whatever bits or sauce got on the little girl's hair when the fork hit her. She then proceeded to wipe the side of Lexi's lips. The girl needed that mostly since she was eating like, well, a little girl.

Adelene chuckled, before pulling away. "Good to see you're enjoying the food. But don't eat too much, alright? You might get seasick later otherwise." She resumed eating as well, almost done with her pasta.

"S-Sorry Adelene.." she said. Rubbing her head again. She felt Adelene start to clean her up as she blushed intensely. This.. Was normal right? She had never been in this situation. Nodding her head she looked back up at Adelene when she was sitting down at her seat. "I promise I'll be careful."

When Adelene Chuckled Lexi giggled. "Uh huh! it's really good. S-seasick? Whats that?" She said with wide eyes. "Is that being sick of the sea?" She said confused. Though she was trying to find out what it meant as she sighed a bit while she once again started to eat.

"So Adelene? What do you do for fun? Do you have any super secret powers?" She asked curiously. "I look like a... What did they call me.. A KneeCo?... neck-o?" She said. Putting a hand on her chin trying to give it thought. "B-but I am super strong and most of the time have cat like reflexes. hehe. I'm always picked first at dodge ball!"
