Feel The Forest {King}

One of their sleeves rolled up, and only then did Yuuki notice the watch they had took with them. They had to leave if they wanted to get to the hospital in time. As much as they loved the scent of the forest, they needed to show up at work after a shower and putting on some clean clothes, and that meant saying goodbye to Yikmo for now.

“Hey, listen” the kirin began as they broke the hug and placed their hands on Yikmo’s shoulders “I have to go now, okay? There’s something important I need to do” they weren’t so sure about leaving the kid alone, since there was no sound or person coming from the hut they had assumed there was no one else around.

Yuuki stood up and dusted off their knees, then gave Yikmo a soft smile as they brushed his hair with one hand.

“We will meet again, I promise! Next time I’ll take you to my favorite place”

Waving their hand too, Yuuki left the kid’s garden. They kept looking at Yikmo until the trees hid the clearing, and then the kirin began walking fast through the forest. The sooner they got home, the sooner they could take care of all the plants they had picked today. Luckily for them, finding their way back was always easy, bless that random kirin trait.

What an adorable little child, Yuuki really hoped to see him again. With winter just about to hit hard, their visits to the forest were less frequent, but that could be helped with a new thick and warm coat.

Yes, the flower buds were definitely going on new adventures in the future! These thoughts made the kirin smile to themselves as they saw the path in the woods that lead to the city.
