Fate

Jaden laughed at his little plan. "Kill him? I won't allow it!" she said, shaking her head. She then sighed, realizing he hadn't answered anything she had just stated. "You know, I'm kind of surprised you didn't defend your 'beloved Nero' when I insulted him... odd..." She shrugged her shoulders, honestly not really caring. It wasn't like it mattered, really.

"Anyway," she began, her eyes narrowing as she became absolutely serious, concentrating on nothing but this little fight. "Make your move. I'll let you attack first."

"Are you sure you really want to die?"

Jaden blinked at how quickly he had gotten behind her and had put his sword to her throat. "Oh, please, I'm not going to die. I know how to fight and take care of myself, thank you very much!" she growled. She was about to get out of this when her eyes went to Aeta. Something seemed wrong to her... but she ignored it.

She blinked when she was pushed away from the sword, and when Aeta had taken her place. NO! IDIOT! Why didn't you let me stay there?! she thought to herself, immediately getting scared for his safety. A look of surprise came to her face when Malkuth was thrown back and with a wound in his chest.

She ran to Aeta when he fell to his knees, not understanding what was free now. "What...?" she asked quietly, and a smile quickly came to her face when he said he loved her. Even if they hadn't known each other very long, hearing that someone loved her made her happy. She didn't know if she loved him yet, but she did know that she liked him a lot. When he started breathing harder, she went to her knees as well. "Aeta? Aeta, are you alright?" she asked, concern showing all over her face.

Jaden was glad to hear that he was alright. However, when he couldn't get up, she decided it was up to her to help him stand and walk. She wouldn't mind doing it, really, as long as they got out of there. "I'll help you... just hang on to me, ok?" she said, taking one of his hands and pulling him up. She put an arm around his shoulders, holding him tightly, just wanting to make sure he wouldn't fall.

"Tell me where we need to go to get away," she said, looking at him.

Jaden nodded her head when he told her to just go to the school. She started walking down the mountainside, not looking back at the man. She believed that he had really been hurt by that, and that he couldn't help but let them get away. Of course, she didn't really know how powerful these people really were, so she didn't know any better.

The girl opened the doors to the school and helped Aeta inside, closing the doors as soon as they were there. "Are you any better?" she asked him, still concerned. If he wasn't, he may have to go to the hospital wing, although she didn't know what the nurses could do for him.
