Sunshine didn't know if asking a lady her age was actually rude or not, but she had heard similar lines in TV shows and whatnot, so there must've been some truth to it. However, she wasn't above being rude every so often.​

"I've met a number of immortal beings during my short time on this island," Sunshine said, "and I'm sure there are many more. I was wondering if you were one of them. It would certainly explain why you behave with such a smug and carefree attitude, despite being so unimposing." Sunshine wasn't sure how she would react if Lizzy was older than her.​

"Well, lucky for you, I'm not immortal. I'm only 15." Lizzy said, not taking the effort to lie, as she was busy mulling over the idea of being eternal. It had its downsides, sure, but there could be a few upsides that someone like her could take advantage of.

"Humph! Easy for you to say! We can't all be giant robotic bird things, you know." she said in response to Sunshines accusation of her being unimposing

So not only was Lizzy not immortal, but she was also only fifteen years old? Sunshine was curious as to how the girl acquired her ability to possess creatures. Was she born with it? Was it gifted to her? It was nothing like the abilities that the people back home who bonded with mechs received.​

However, Sunshine wouldn't ask any more overly personal questions. She laughed. "It's true that I'm big, but I'm only ever truly intimidating to those who might have a reason to be intimidated," she said. "In fact, I've been told that I'm quite majestic, but that's neither here nor there. Haven't you ever been told to respect your elders? I'm a hundred and fifty-nine years older than you!"​

"Well, what about all the times you threatened me hmm? That wasn't very respectful was it? Just because you're older than me doesn't mean I have to respect you." Lizzy answered. If Sunshine wanted Lizzy to respect her she was going to have to earn it.

Still, Lizzy suspected that didn't keep her here only to give her a lecture on respect. "So what else do you want to know?" She asked, wanting to get Sunshines "questions" over with as quickly as possible.

Warren had used that exact same argument against Sunshine before (she could admit that it was a good argument). "You'll forgive me for not being very respectful at first to someone who possessed my favorite human," she said. "Besides, those threats were only jokes." She added under her breath, "Mostly."​

"Taking a break for a minute," Warren thought. "What are you doing?"​
​
"Socializing. I'm talking to someone very interesting right now."​

Although Sunshine was being a little sarcastic, she was interested in Lizzy (though, to be fair, she was interested in everyone she came across). She asked the girl many mundane questions, such as her likes and dislikes, and Sunshine also asked how Lizzy's abilities worked. The phoenix also spoke about her own life. At that point, she was just waiting for Warren to arrive and maybe scold her about possessing the bird.​

Lizzy gave a number of vague responses in answer to Sunshines questions, as well as a few lies. Especially when it came to what she could and couldn't do with her powers. No reason to give Sunshine, and by extension Warren, any information they could use against her after all.

Lizzy also didn't pay much mind when Sunshine talked about her own life. She didn't care enough to listen. Finally, it seemed like Sunshine was done asking questions and Lizzy would have sighed with relief if she could.

"There. Can I go now?" Lizzy asked after answering Sunshines last question. This whole thing had been a major waste of her time and she was eager to get going.

Sunshine was indeed done asking questions, because as soon as Lizzy asked her own question, Warren walked out of the entrance of the academy. He looked at Sunshine, then at Lizzy's still body, then at the small bird flying above him. He began scolding Lizzy for possessing the bird.​

"You sure catch on fast," Sunshine said.​

"Maybe, but I was also kind of hoping that you weren't just talking to a random bird. Don't insult my observational skills."​

Lizzy was just about to leave when Warren showed up. "Great.. Just great." she muttered to herself as Warren began to scold her, though she wasn't really didn't care about what he was saying.

"Blah blah blah.. I already heard it from Sunshine." Lizzy said once it looked like Warren was done. "Also, your observation skills are terrible."

Sunshine told Warren what Lizzy had told her concerning the state the bird would be in while under possession. Warren thought it over for a few moments. "I still find it kind of sadistic, and I'd very much like you to stop," he said, "but if what you said is true... And I can't really force you to stop, can I?" He sighed. "Well, how have you two been getting along out here?"​

"Very well, actually."​

"I wasn't asking you."​

"No. You can't." Lizzy said with confidence when Warren said there was no way to stop her from possessing the bird. After all, even if Warren knew how to break Lizzy's possession of something, he still wouldn't be able to do it. Or he would have done it when she possessed him.

When Sunshine said they'd been getting on well, Lizzy just stared at her. "Well, for you information, Sunshine has spent the last hour interrogating me!" Lizzy said, hoping that maybe Warren would tell Sunshine off.
