Katie nodded as Amber talked about why she shouldn't make a deal with a demon lord. Truth be told, she wasn't planning to, except maybe as an absolute last resort. She knew there was probably a better way to extend her life.

"Right.. But aren't there other demons who can make deals? Like, other than demon lords. Or even other creatures for that matter? What if I tried to make a deal with one of them?"

"Certain fae and trickster gods can offer such deals but have their own cavets. Umm... she could also try to devote herself to a divine being for their favor but I just don't know how that will mesh with her... umm... physiology." offered Amber, still trying to think up of some other resources that may help.

"I guess... I don't if this will work but... maybe she can try acquiring lycanothophy or vampirism from someone? Depending on the exact type it could make her immortal or at least long lived... but I have no idea if that will help or not. Or even if it just makes things worse." said Amber, unsure if what she just said was even a good idea. But at this point they just needed ideas.

"Has she... ever had a medical exam? Maybe a doctor can help look into the issue cause I'm running out of things to say that could help."

Katie nodded and quickly wrote down Amber's suggestions. Even if Amber didn't have any concrete answers, Katie still valued her input.

"R..Right. That sounds like a good idea." Katie said with a nod, before flipping to another page. "Oookayy, umm. Moving on. Does the hell that a demon comes from have an effect on them?" Katie asked. She knew that there were multiple different hells, so maybe that had something to do with it.

"It can have an effect." confirmed Amber whom then continued with "The differences are often rather minor but important to consider. Like... demons belonging of certain faiths might be unaffected by the iconography of certain religious sects while also being effected by other holy symbols. "


"Differing realms have their particular brand of demon such as Sloth demons being lazy or Pride demons being haughty though these are often broad generalizations. Its a bit like looking at biological taxonomy... you can make some generalizations for a whole clade but the species themselves can look and behave widely different from each other." elaborated Amber, looking to see if Katie understood it. Its a bit of difficult concept to grasp at times but like with many things, not everything can fit so neatly in the boxes you try to put them in.

"Anything else?" she then inquired.

Katie scribbled down some quick notes about how different hells might affect demons, before looking back toward Amber.

"What about bug demons? Not.. Not that I think you're a bug or anything! It's just.. Well, Vespa can turn into a wasp. Anything you can tell me about them? Or their hell?" Katie asked. Amber was a spider, so Katie guessed she could probably tell her something about bug demons.

"Bug demon? Umm... well just because there are demons whom look like bugs doesn't that they are a specific grouping. That being said... many demons that do have bug-like features tend to a descendant of the demon lord of gluttony, Beelzebub whom also goes by the title of "Lord of the Flies". If Vespa has a particular hunger for something then she could be related to Beelzebub.

But as I mentioned earlier, just because your girlfriend is bug demon doesn't mean she belongs to particular grouping of demons. I mean... I look like spider but I am in no way related to Beelzebub. In fact I am descended from Lord Asmodeus on one side and a goetic demon on the other side."

After finishing her sentence, there was an downward curl on her lips. Her eyes drift away for a moment, her face furrows ever so slightly from some unpleasant thought before she resumes the conversation.

"Anyway... I think that is all I can really think to say. Sorry that I don't really have solid answers for you."

(( Small edit as it it turned out Amber would not have known the true name of one of her grandparents ))

Katie nodded as Amber spoke. She knew one of Vespas moms was a reaper, but as for her other mom, Katie really didn't know anything about her. "Okay, yeah. Umm.. She likes to eat bones, so maybe? I'm not really sure."

She shook her head when Amber apologized for not really having any answers. "Oh no, it's fine! You've actually taught me wayyyyy more about demons then I ever knew!" Katie said, scribbling down a few more hasty notes.

"Thank you so much! I'll um.. let you get back your book now. See you around, and thanks again." Katie said, giving a small wave to Amber and heading out.
