"Geometry, There are to many rules and exceptions to rules that its hard for me to follow...and I took Biology so...yeah. No complicated hyper mathematics for me."
"Biology was okay," Lochlann admitted. "Way better than Chemistry. Plus, like you said...way less math.
"No, not at all."
She didn't seem too weirded out, so Loch gave a relaxed laugh. "I skipped breakfast today," he explained.
Of course, he skipped breakfast because he was hung-over and couldn't stomach the idea of, well, stomaching anything.
"Although it must be great to eat dinner as a family. My father is basically non existant around the house and my sister is always out with her boyfriends and girlfriends it's just kind of depressing when I'm usually the only one at the house and I'm cooking for myself."
It took him a moment to realize he might have been a little homesick, although he had no idea what his home was like anymore. When his family had been crossing the Atlantic, he'd been in a herd with a pile of cousins, aunts, uncles, complete strangers, but it'd been fun. There was always someone around and he wasn't trying to hide who he was all the time.
"But lets not dwell on bad memories. What do you usually do for fun? I'm usually at the Roman style spa, or i think its Roman style... whatever, it's in town and it's called 'When in Rome...' It's a great place to relax."
"Good idea," Loch said. She was stretching and it seemed like her shirt was rising up, so even though Loch really, really wanted to look, he decided not too. If he knew her a little better he'd totally sneak a peak, but it seemed like she didn't even know how much skin she was showing. Although, she did remind him of a cat in the way that she made stretching look sooo good.
"What's a spa?" Lochlann asked. He used to be embarrassed about asking questions like this, but there were so many students from different times, worlds, and experience levels that he realized questions like these were fairly normal. "It must be nice if it's relaxing. Is it music-related?"
What did he do for fun? Not much of anything anymore. "I used to swim a lot," he said. "That's the one plus side about being on an island--a lot of opportunities for it. Downside? I don't like people watching and the beach is pretty popular when it's warmer out."
He held the door open for her, leaning against it for a moment and enjoying the cool outdoor breeze on his face.
