Elisa Pelham
Shifting her backpack, Elisa moved to catch up to Euphemia. "Hey, wait up! I have little legs!" It was amusing to her that the girl, despite being younger than Elisa, was almost half a foot taller. Even her Male form, Eli, was just below eye height.

Euphemia had wanted to explore the Island, and Elisa, trying to be helpful, had decided to go with her, to give a tour of sorts. But for unexplainable reasons, She had really wanted to go to the Strip, thinking of it as just regular Entertainment.

Elisa had seen some of the places there, and knew it wasnt somewhere someone should go with the wrong impression.

Euphemia was in no hurry, she calmly strolled ahead with her hands demurely crossed in front of her. She started to slow her walk once she realised how far ahead she had gotten.

"My apologies, It was not my intention to make you rush."

She, of course, had no ulterior motives in coming to The Strip. Standard operating procedure when an operative such as herself arrived in a new location was to scout out the land, learn the terrain, discover what she could about her surroundings. Often, the key to any battle was utilising this information to one's advantage.

But there was no battle to be fought here, no enemy that Euphemia was meant to seek out. She was still on the island, effectively abandoned, and with no higher power to dictate her actions. So, even though it felt futile, she continued her little information gathering exercise. She'd already learned what she could about the school when she first arrived and had investigated the area around the Community center earlier that morning. So as the sun reached its peak around midday, she decided to visit the next major location that she was aware of, with her new acquaintance to show her around.

"Though, I must ask," She spoke in the same, monotone voice as she had all morning. "Are we perhaps nearing the district? I wish to learn as much as I can before the day ends."

Having walked across the entire city on multiple occaisions, Elisa knew these streets well. "We're only about a block or two away." She said, hands on her knees. "Anywhere in particular you want to see?"

After catching her breath, she stood up straight and adjusted the straps on her bag. "I mean, the place is one of the less frequented places by students."

"I do not know what to expect from the district, so I am afraid there is not any particular place I'm looking for."

Euphemia waits next to her, letting her catch her breath, standing straight with all her usual poise and refinement. Her head tilts to the side after she speaks, questioningly.

"Is that so? Is there a particular reason students do not come here?"

She nodded. Euphemia couldn't have known. She didn't seem to have any reason other than simple curiousity. It would be best if Elisa told her now. "This place is generally regarded as the... darker part of the city."

Looking her up and down, Elisa noted that the girl seemed rather elegant. Not like she would be here unless buying Black market items. "We aren't far. Do you still want to go there?"

"Ah, I see..." She gives a very slight frown, looking from her to the direction of the district. "I was unaware such a place was here on the island."

Euphemia had experience with the criminal element back in her home country. Often when she was searching for a target, they would be an excellent source of information. However, interacting with them was usually her handlers job, not something she was particularly suited for. Still, it was worth knowing, even if the info didn't find practical use.

"I apologise," She eventually readdresses Elisa, "I was not aware I was asking you to accompany me to such a place. I would still like to investigate further, but I will not ask you to come with me if it would cause you duress. I assure you I will be able to handle myself should any issues arise."

Well, at least she knew now. She handled it better than Elisa thought she would, though. This was a very mature girl.

Despite this, she shook her head. "I decided to come with you to the Area, I'm not too worried about the place though, just what we might find. I'm sure we will be fine though."

"If you are sure," She nods. "Thank you again for accompanying me."

With the matter settled, Euphemia gestured her head towards the district. Elisa seemed reliable to her, and with her unfamiliarity with her surroundings, she did appreciate it.

"Let us continue then. I am eager to find out what I can."

Elisa just smiled and nodded at Euphemia's thanks. She walked this way a lot and it always seemed more interesting with someone else around.

"Yes. Let's go." Euphemia had a strange, almost robotic way of speaking. With her breathing too, It was almost as if she actually was a robot.

"Do we have a curfew, or are we just spending as much time in the-" Elisa cleared her throat. It wasn't intentional, she accidentally swallowed some of her saliva observing Euphemia. "Sorry, in the Strip?"

Euphemia continued onwards, taking her calm stride along the path. She tilted her head to the side a bit at her question.

"Curfew? No, I do not believe so. I just wish to make efficient use of my time."

She had, of course, been observing Elisa as much as she had been observing her surroundings. She was accustomed to the kind of looks the older girl was giving her, those unfamiliar with her in the church often viewed her similarly. Once others made them aware, they often went out of their way to make sure she knew how they felt.

"Forgive me for assuming," She starts to speak. "But I believe you may have questions about me. I wish to assure you that I do not mind if you ask them. I would not be offended.
