"Actually nothing. I just told him, Detective Miller, that my niece had a new bodyguard and he really didn't ask more about it - he was very focused on who might have been at the warehouse with her," she told Angelo, and gazed over to Roldan as she added,

"I know now it's a Mr. Broen, but at the time, I wasn't even aware of who he was. I had just seen Zoraida in passing and she didn't explain the new security...and quite truthfully, I never asked, just assumed the old one had left." Celeste said.

Hm. Who was at the warehouse with her. That was like, sixty balls of wax that Angelo didn't want to get into, and he nodded briefly, glancing at the tape.

"Alright. Thank you for reporting this. I... am going to handle this report. We are going to look into it. That said, I am going to ask you to please not mention this to anyone else. Even within the station, and I'm going to ask that if anyone else comes knocking--Detective Miller or otherwise--you give me or officer Drakenhardt a call."

Angelo paused, and then for a moment looked genuinely, morbidly embarrassed. Oops, forgot something, and he stuck his hand out to Celeste for a shake.

"I'm Sergeant Genovese," he added. Maybe should have started with that.

"Ahh, there's more actually..." Celeste said hesitantly when Sargent Genovese started dismissing her, obviously in a hurry to get on with things.

"I came here to also tell Officer Ro-, Officer Drakenhardtm " she corrected herself as she looked at Officer Roldan and smiled, and then continued on, "I was going to add that I think, maybe, I know who the man is that Detective Nick is looking for?"

Roldan pursed his lips, looking from Angelo over to Celeste. Well this was something, for sure. He wiped his hand across his mouth, currently thinking about the fact that he'd definitely want to talk to Angelo after this. In private.

"You mean this, uh," he said, making sure he remembered correctly, "man in red?"
Christ, what was this? A detective novel?

Angelo gave Roldan a brief glance, wondering what the hell he was about to stumble onto.

"So, tell us about the man in red. You think you know who this guy is?"

Angelo hadn't even heard of a man in red until the tape, but apparently he'd fought the black wings twice and ended up injured. He'd thought that Miller was asking Celeste to find out about Broen, but apparently the Black Wings were looking for the man in red still instead.

Only who the hell was that?

Celeste nodded, she now had a determined look of her face - she knew all of this sounded crazy, and maybe the officers thought she was crazy too, but she knew her father was rarely wrong when it came to giving advice, and so plunged on...

"A few days before Mr. Millers visit. I found a man, an elf, bleeding to death, injured on my deck..." here she glanced sideways at Officer Roldan apologetically, she knew she should have told him about it but hadn't.

"Anyways, long story short, I dragged him into the house and healed his wounds. He was wearing like a red cape and helmt at the time," she explained, "He stayed with me for a while, and then up and left. When he was with me though, I found his ID card, an old expired one that said, "Red" on it... "Celeste said, finally finishing her story.

"Oh, and the strange visitors I reported... they were also looking for him."

Roldan inhaled when she mentioned the man. She hadn't said anything about that at all, and frankly it kind of perturbed him. But there was no sense in going off now. They had the info, even if it was after the fact.

"Do you have any idea where he might have gone? Did he give you a name at all while you were taking care of him? If the Black Wings are looking for him..." He looked at Angelo, pausing. He wanted to say that with the police would be the safest place for him. But that might not be true right now.

She'd found a man bleeding to death on the deck. An old ID card. And the Black Wings were looking for him.

There were a lot of questions.

"Beyond the questions Officer Drakenhardt has, I have some of my own. Do you still have the ID card? And, being honest, why didn't you report it to the police that you found a man bleeding to death?"

Just how shady was this family?

Celeste looked at both men, and felt uncomfortable and rather embarrassed. She had no idea why she had done what she did, she knew it was wrong - her own father had said as much to her.

"I don't have the ID card, I just picked it up for the floor and placed it back among his things," Celeste explained.

"And I don't know why I didn't report it earlier," she admitted quietly as she glanced down at her hands for a moment, "I thought I was helping, and I was partly afraid, I guess, especially after Detective Miller's visit," she added.

"And yes, he went by another name supposedly, Ain Augusta... " she said to Officer Drakenhardt.

"That's understandable. I mean. You definitely should have taken him to the hospital, but I get being scared and not necessarily thinking straight in a crisis."

Roldan looked at Angelo, clearly torn between the obvious 'this is really sketchy and weird' and his attempts recently, mostly for his own mental health, to try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

"How long has he been out of your house? We probably need to speak to him, and frankly knowing when he left your place can give us a time frame to work with."
