It was still early afternoon and Celeste had just finished talking to her father. Raphael had stopped by the house, and the two had caught up on how she was doing and why he was on the island. He had informed Celeste about Zoraida, not liking the fact that his daughter had been kept in the dark about what was happening - had told her as much. Celeste almost felt bad for her niece, Raphael was - rather unpleasant - when he was angry. She knew Zora had probably wanted to protect her and Shale, and could only hope her niece had prepared herself well because she knew Raphael would demand why Celeste had been kept in the dark.
Before her father left, he had told Celeste to go to the police with everything she knew. He had been very adamant about that. And now, taking the paper she had stashed away in a kitchen drawer, Celeste found herself staring at the number there.
Picking up her cell phone, Celeste dialled the number on the paper and almost immediately the Manta Carlos police picked up.
"Hello, I was wondering if it might be possible to speak with, I believe his name is, Officer Drakenhart, badge number... " here she read off the paper in front of her, "He picked up my son two days ago, Shale... he was in an altercation of sorts," she explained her words softly tinged with the hint of a light French accent.
