Early on in the morning before most people had woken up, Sushi completed his morning routine, set up his helmet and headed out. There wasn't really any particular plan that he had for the day, he just happened to wake up early and decided to go out and explore.

The boy spent the better part of the morning invisible, going around and just looking at the people and things all over as they interacted with one another. It was when he noticed someone throwing out a can that things took a turn for the worse.

Once the person had left, Sushi headed on over to observe it. He slid the top of the garbage can off to reveal a partially filled garbage can, but he could still see the can sitting at the bottom. Cans were good. He wasn't sure why they were good, but someone had handed him one once and anytime he'd done the same, the other person was often made to feel happy about it. So naturally, he started trying to get the can out from the trash. Unfortunately, he couldn't reach it and ended up falling in head first. As soon as his head clanged against the bottom, he became visible.

He squirmed, kicked his legs a little and tried to get himself out of there, but it appeared he was stuck.

He's stuck there for only a short while, unnoticed by the few people who're up so early. Though eventually, he'd have felt a cold hand grip his ankle tight, and suddenly he's pulled up and out, lifted into the air to find a tall, pale girl dangling him by his leg, Giving no sign of exertion whatsoever despite her frail-looking arms.

Euphemia had something of a routine during the schooldays. She was up and dressed early, heading into the school building long before most of the students were even out to assist Ms. Forestier with preparing for the days class. She'd go to the library once they were finished to go over any classwork that needed checking, then went to the classroom to wait.

She hadn't lost her observant nature, however, a lifetime of having that drilled into her wouldn't be discarded simply due to familiarity with her surroundings. So, the unusual sight of a pair of legs sticking out of the trash didn't go unnoticed.

"Excuse me," She spoke with a polite, even tone, looking down at his mask impassively. "If I may, what are you doing inside the garbage can?"

Sushi didn't really try to resist or even squirm as Euphemia lifted him up. His body flinched right when she grabbed him, but after that he remained still while she pulled him up.

His mask was not looking particularly clean anymore, with what looked like ketchup smudged against the top of it

He didn't really understand what she was saying, so he just stared back at her. Not that she could've seen him through his mask. Gosh was she ever strong though, she was lifting him up like it was nothing. It was nice being out of the trash can too, it was pretty cramped in there. He figured he could use some new words he'd learned here. "Thank you." Normally he'd try to hug her, that was a thing people did to thank other people, but he couldn't do that while hanging from his leg.

She tilted her head to the side, inspecting the young boy curiously. Other than the glow of his soul that she always saw the suit made it difficult to make out much of anything about him. Though from both his height and his voice she summised he was likely young.

"Were you stuck?" She asked, before reaching with her other arm to grasp him by the shoulder and flip him around (which was a somewhat awkward process, given how she held him, but she tried to make it as smooth for him as possible) and let him back onto his feet.

"Regardless, please refrain from entering any of the garbage cans from." She continued, speaking in that same detached way. "Such behaviour is not appropriate for the campus."

She continued to look down at him expectantly, waiting to make sure the young boy understood. Normally, she'd be minding her own business in these sorts of situations, but she was on the student council now, and her understanding was that she had an obligation to set an example for other students.

Sushi stuck his arms out to the side as his feet hit the ground, then once he had his balance back, he let them fall down to his sides.

Please was the only word there that he really understood, which meant that she wanted something from him, but he had no clue as to what that might be. Rather than responding, Sushi just kept staring at her. Until he finally remembered something.

He reached into his rain coat and took out a very stale old biscuit and held it up for Euphemia to take.

She blinked, a small look of confusion briefly crossing her features.

"Ah...you do not need to give me that," She said, shaking her head. "I am unable to appreciate most foods anyway."

Euphemia frowned. While she was definitely much better at communicating with her peers then she had been when she first arrived, she still stumbled a little. It was bad enough with people she could communicate with normally, someone who didn't seem to acknowledge anything she said was even worse.

"Well, if there is nothing else, please excuse me."

She gave him a short, polite nod of her head, before she turned to start walking off. She still had a few errands to run before classes started, and it was better for her to get them squared away sooner rather than later. It seemed unlikely he'd get himself in trouble again, she reasoned. Hopefully.

Sushi stared at Euphemia for a while longer, trying and failing to process much of what she was saying. The only bit that got through to him was her name. Well, more so what he assumed was her name thanks to the format he'd been taught for introducing yourself.

As she started to walk away, Sushi followed. Calling out to her with the incorrect name. "Unable!"
He then kept walking quickly until he was caught up with her. He enjoyed being saved, but it seemed she didn't like the biscuit, so Sushi was going to have to find something better.

Euphemia was already a good bit far off from him once he called out to her, she had long legs and a long stride, especially compared to the fish boy. Hearing him call out made her blink again, and she turned back to look down at him.

She opened her mouth, right about to ask him if he needed anything else, but it was very clear at this point that she probably wasn't going to get anywhere with that.

"Hmm... Perhaps it is best I start again." She said, seeing as he seemed to think Unable was her name the most obvious thing to do was correct that. "I am Euphemia. What is your name?"

Sushi looked a tad confused when Unable reintroduced them self as Euphemia, but he ultimately figured it out. "Hello Euphemia, I am Sushi." The cracker was no good, so he slipped one arm into his coat and rummaged around for a moment before pulling out a beer can.

"Thank you." Just as he'd done with the cracker, he raised the can high up so that Euphemia could hopefully take it. He never truly understood the cans but he hoped she'd like it.

Well that was marginally more productive.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Sushi. Now, is there anything else you-"

And then he pulled out the beer. Euphemia paused, looking from the small child to the can that he most certainly should not be have. She slowly took it from his hand and gave it a small shake to check if there was actually anything inside it.

"...Where did you get this?" She asked. Euphemia never had much interest in alcohol, much for the same reason she didn't care for food. Even after she broke away from her past beliefs, she doubted it'd affect her much anyway. But she had a feeling if he tried handing this to a teacher he'd be getting a very different reaction.
