Harmony sketched in her book. This time, she was sure she was in a good relationship. She definitely found him. A smile broke out on her face as she saw the finished product. She did a really good job capturing the fire djinn's features. She debated coloring it, but she didn't have the means to do so at the moment. That was when her phone rang. The girl checked it. Was it a text? Wait no, it was a reminder. What was she supposed to do again? Thankfully past Harmony was smart enough to type it into the alert.

Her purpose for being there was to meet a guy. He needed her love magic. It was no secret that she had it; a number of people knew about her matchmaking service. She made it her duty to bring people together. She wanted everyone to find Love in their lives, and she was good at her job. It was bizarre really; she could find everyone else couples, but she struggled so much to acquire her own happiness. It was crazy really, but that was nothing to dwell on right now. He would be here soon.

The redhead popped her gum as she put away the sketchbook and pencil. She pulled out her compact mirror and checked her makeup. Did she look presentable? Yeah, she did. She put the mirror away. She was only interested in not looking like a hot mess. She didn't really care about being hyper attractive. She had a man already. She didn't need to attract anyone else unnecessarily.

Cabel was looking for love in all the wrong places.

He was humming the song while he walked. He had a peculiar way of walking, a half-step too short with one foot and too long with the other, and this wasn't really noticeable except to give Cabel the appearance of someone who was over caffeinated.

That might be the case. He was wearing sunglasses and sipping on a coffee. it was his sixth in the last two hours.

Cabel could have physical love whenever he wanted. There were a lot of people of all genders and sexes that owed him for his product and were more than willing to pay in nontraditional means. Actually, Cabel hated that. He didn't want someone to kneel before him in a dark alley and tell him that they were gonna show him a good time.

That wasn't going to help Cabel pay the pills, and student loans were expensive. Cabel wanted to make somehing big. He was looking to triple the potency of his ecstasy and he wanted to mirror the feeling of being in love. He wanted to skyrocket it and have people swooning over each other, dancing, raving, and, most importantly, coming back for more.

Why try to start from scratch when there was someone specializing in love magic already going to the same school?

"Are you Harmony?" Cabel asked.

Just as she put away the mirror, Cabel approached her. She glanced over at the guy. His appearance did not stand out much; brown hair and very barely tanned skin didn't make for a flashy display. However, his clothes were a different story. As she stood up to shake hands, she began to second guess her decision. After all, this wouldn't have been the first time she put herself in the cross fire of a plan that would lead to her (near) demise. Kidnapping became a ritual for her, but she never interacted with Cabel so he would be fine, right? No need to worry!

"Yep~ I'm Harmony. It's a pleasure to meet you~"

She offered her hand for a handshake. The information the redhead did know was that she was assisting with a project with her love magic. Such a task would be simple enough; no worries there really. After all, it was in constant use thanks to her shipping habits. She also practiced her magic in general because of interest. She did ponder why hers was "weaker" than her sister's, but she refused to confront her about it. She also didn't feel like dwelling on that right now. She had a job to do, and that was to help this guy with his project.

Harmony looked nice.

Cabel took her appearance in with a cool nod of his head and took her hand. He had a surprisingly good handshake for someone with his reputation, but in truth, it was because Cabel spent a long time interning at a marketing firm. He was also good at never forgetting a name.

"So, Harmony," Cabel said. He was torn between cutting right to the chase and to talk to her for a bit to figure out what sort of person she was. Mixing magic and drugs was always an adventure. Cabel liked to know what sort of people he was dealing with.

"I appreciate you taking the time to meet with me," he said. "I am working on a bit of a project and I heard through the grapevine that you might be able to help me. Do you um...know anything about my work?"

Harmony's hands were rather soft, but she still returned the favor with a firm handshake. Her mind thought back to the rumor mill. She was a gossip; listening to rumors and chatting about them with her friends was definitely her thing. She found out the scoop at a decent pace. Now did she ever hear about a Cabel Sokot? That was quite the question...wait, yes! He was a popular name at certain parties. Was he the one that dealt drugs on campus? Wait, but then what was he going to use her love magic for? That part she didn't understand.

"Cabel....are you the one that creates drugs?~"

She didn't know much more than that. It wasn't like she actually met the guy before. It was likely her matchmaking reputation got her some notoriety around campus. What she hoped was that her bad relationships weren't also giving her a reputation. She already dealt with the results of that back during middle school and high school. She didn't need it following her into college. At least there would no longer be any fuel for it; Ignus was the one, and he would stick with her no matter what. She loved the fire djinn.

"I can help you!~ But what would you want with love magic?"

She didn't mind drugs themselves, but she did have her qualms with drug addiction. She was disinterested in ever using them; she felt that she would be unrestrained and wild like Melody, and that would end poorly. Melody...she worried for her a lot. How was her twin sister doing? She wondered if Melody ever bought any from this man. The thought made her stomach churn. She hoped that by assisting him that she wouldn't be enabling trouble for her sister.

Cabel hesitated for a moment.

He didn't think Harmony was a cop, but he could never be so certain. Instead, he said, "I can neither confirm nor deny that statement."

He winked, though.

It was pretty obvious that he did. He was impressed that she was so direct in asking him that, though. It made this so much easier if he didn't have to pretend it was for anything else than what it was.

"Normal drugs don't always work on magical creatures," Cabel explained. "Some species like fae or dragons or demons might have a resistance to chemicals. I would like to develop medicines and things of that nature that would work on those with a resistance to these chemicals."

That was a long term goal, though, and an expensive one.

"Some of my products give a heightened feeling of euphoria, for example, and there's a warm glowy feeling that sort of mimics the feeling of being in love," Cabel said. Of course, he was talking about ectasy, but he'd never just come out and say that. "It's a lot easier to manufcator something that mimics love magic if, well, you have some love magic."

He crossed his arms and tapped his finger to his chin and said, "Did this answer your question?"

He could explain more but he wasn't sure if he explained well enough.

She might have been spacy and sometimes even seemed a little airheaded, but she wasn't an idiot. She could tell that wink was a yes. The young lady giggled softly. So he was a drug maker that needed someone with a particular kind of magic to create drugs. This was an odd task for her to assist with, but she wasn't against helping. Having people feel passion was a good thing, right? What could possibly be wrong with that? Everyone needed a little love in their lives. Of course, she was not foolish enough to think that the drugs would lead to true love, but it would certain not lead to harm!

"Yes, you explained quite enough~"

Now it was onto business. Harmony figured that a location like this made a good meeting point, but not a good spot to actually create the drugs. Unless of course he was planning to have her use her magic here and then he takes it in a container, but she wanted to know how he was going to do this.

"So how do you want to do this?~ And where?"

It would be nice to get compensation for this, but the redhead didn't necessarily need it.

How did he want to do this?

It was a question Cabel hadn't really considered. He crossed his arms and then tapped his finger over his lip in thought. Though he had a sharp mind for business and was skilled in creation, Cabel was also horrible at thinking things through.

He looked at the short term and the long term. Nothing in between. This counted strictly as in between.

"Well, I guess," Cabel said. "Can you um...test it on me?"

He regretted the words once he said them, but he needed to know if it'd feel like he wanted it to on his drugs.

"Your wish is my command!~"

Oh God, she wondered what Ignus would say if he heard that. In one swift motion, she pulled out her love grimoire. This was the spell book that taught her magic; it revealed her capacity to perform magic. Now she had gotten so used to certain spells that she could cast her magic without consulting the book. However, the book made for a good channeling device; it acted much like a wand or staff. The redhead raised her hand and pointed at Cabel with her open palm. A pink rim around her irises appeared briefly. A pink blast of magic left Harmony's fingertips and sailed towards the man. It took the vague shape of a Valentine's styled heart.

Should the spell hit the man dead on lie planned, then he would feel a sudden burst of love rise from within him. The particular kind of love she used was the one he eluded to in his earlier explanation; it was a spell meant to increase the ecstasy he so desired. There was a catch though; there was no saying how he would react under the effects. To make matters worse, her love magic also behaved like Cupid's arrows; there was no telling who his target would be, but they were in a location that was outdoors but yet purposefully situated away from prying eyes. For all she knew, he could've associated the ecstasy and attraction to her. Of course that was all up to Cabel. Reactions varied from person to person.

Maybe Harmony should've thought this over a little more.

As soon as it hit him, Cabel started to have second thoughts.

oh god, maybe he should have asked for specifics, like...how long did it last? what would he fall in love with? how could he stop it?

He had to admit, the heart was pretty flashy, though. Maybe he should make the pills heart shape--

"Woah," Cabel said.

He promptly sat down straight on his butt and closed his eyes.

"Harmony?" he said. "Could you hit me again? I don't...feel anything."

He didn't, or at least, Cabel thought he didn't. But either way, a second shot shouldn't hurt, right?
