The crossed fox. An entering place to stay the least. She got a few odd looks here and there as she walked up, she even heard a cat call perhaps mistaking her as a dancer. Walking up to the entrance she was stopped by a firm hand, which she flashed her id. It was an official document that was acquired for her to be in America. This Id card just like her other papers all said she was eighteen. When in actuality she had just turned sixteen. She had a passport, birth certificate, three different id cards, a actual id, drivers licence and her motorcycle licence, etc. All of her paperwork was pretty convincing. Taking a deep breath once she was allowed passed she made her way to her destination.

Not even allowing herself a brief moment to look about she would take a quick look around when she was accepted for the position. She needed the money and if she had to work in a place like this she would do so. Thankfully she wasn't working the pole. No. She wouldn't dare. No. Evelyn was coming for the personal assistant position.

The outfit that Evelyn wore was nearly her full military clothing. The combat boots (knife naturally in them), her black fatigue like pants and her black short sleeve shirt under green military jacket. Around her neck hung her cross and her dog tags. "Eye vas toled dat eu vere lookings for an assissitant." She spoke in perfect monotone with her thick accent.

"Eye vas toled dat eu vere lookings for an assissitant."

Yoka Sake was lounging on one of the couches near the center of the establishment, where she could oversee any potential problems and look like a tasty piece of decoration at the same time.

Because it was a working night, the fox was wearing an unbuttoned silk robe, a pair of sandals that laced up to her knees, and a neglige that, though it covered her torso completely, was none the less see through in the dimlighting.

Perhaps not the best outfit to conduct and interview in, but she wasn't expecting anyone to answer her add so soon after the last man had quit.

Yoka eyed the woman before her, taking in the military apparel and thinking that, though normally a practical outfit, someone was going to mistake her for a specialty dancer.

"I am indeed," Yoka said, rising from the couch. "Let's slip away to my office, shall we? Please, feel free to ask any questions along the way."

The fox would lead her under the stage, then up a flight of stairs, and another, until they were in a small room stationed above the bar. It viewed the entire club floor and was surprisingly sound proof.

"I am indeed," Yoka said, rising from the couch. "Let's slip away to my office, shall we? Please, feel free to ask any questions along the way."

Nodding quietly Eve walked behind Yoka as they walked under the stage and then up the flights of stairs until they were in the office.

"Vat keind of essistant vere you looeking four?" She asked in a monotone voice as she walked exactly two steps behind Yoka. If Yoka were to slow down so would she and even speed up to keep the exact two paces behind. It was a practiced act and she waited for a response before following up with another and more important question. "Vat es ze pay?"

It nearly sounded like she wanted to know more about the second one verses the first. She didn't care what kind of work Yoka would be having her do. But, she wouldn't be able to keep the job unless it payed enough to get her by for food and such.

"Vat keind of essistant vere you looeking four?"

"I need someone to manage my daily affairs and keep up while I run my errands...and I run a lot of errands," Yoka explained. Of course, her errands ranged from something as tame as buying lingerie to traveling off-island to check on her franchises to having her assistant pick up human hearts from around the underground.

"Vat es ze pay?"

"The pay is based on experience. I start at $55k a year, with health benefits and I provide housing if that is needed," Yoka explained. "Of course, I raise the pay if you make it through the first six months."

She frowned, tapping her fingernails across the desk in her small office. "Of course, most of my assistants don't make it through the first few months. They're still alive, though."

Yoka quickly clarified, giving a slight laugh

Alive, but not necessarily in the same dimension.

"This will be a physically demanding job as well and at times you may be expected to wear certain attire--I recommend you keep those comfortable boots they're wearing. Heels are for working the floor only," she said, glancing back down to the floor of her club. "There's also the possability that there may be um...attempts on my life. I have security for that reason, though, so all is well."

Yoka's amber eyes flashed. "Are you still interested?"

"I need someone to manage my daily affairs and keep up while I run my errands...and I run a lot of errands,"

"Eye vill do vhat ever you desire mein to be doing. Even if et be against ze law." Evelyn stated firmly as she stood there in military stance awaiting to hear the bad part of the job.

"The pay is based on experience. I start at $55k a year, with health benefits and I provide housing if that is needed," ... "Of course, I raise the pay if you make it through the first six months."

"I am en youer services unteil you no lounger neid of mein." She responded in perfect monotone as she stared directly into the foxes amber eyes. It was clear. She did not care what the work entailed even if it ment her working on her 'hands and knees' under Yoka's desk while the fox woman was speaking to a business client.

"I am en trained milletary spescial force. Ef dere is an attempt on yoer leif I vill be willing to stand en ze way. Eye have been shot zeree tiems." She stated bluntly as she heard the ideal that she had precious assistances that have left but were still alive.

"Eye em enterestest en your job purpossial." Evelyn stated firmly with a nod of her head. She needed this job more than anything else in this world the extra money would allow her to do many things that she was unable to do so, and it would keep her dwindling funds from going into the red.

Yoka was quite pleased.

The girl didn't even flinch when Yoka told her about the threads and her face didn't move a muscle. When she tossed out the information about already having been shot, Yoka's excitement grew. Behind her illusion, her tails were wagging something ferocious.

"This pleases me," she told the girl. "I believe you will be well suited for the job. I do not like being disappointed."

Yoka's eyes were back on the floor, observing a suspicious person who looked like he was gonig to break the rule and try to touch one of her girls, but instead the bartender slid a glass of water into his hand. Good man.

She turned her attention back to the young woman. "I am about ready to make an offer, but now I am going to ask a few questions that are not politically correct for me to do so. Do you have any powers or abilities that might be a limitation--or asset- to you work?"

She realized this might sound like she wasnt interested in non-humans, but the opposite was actually true. She elaborated, "If you are a werewolf, for example, I would need to make accommodations for the full-moon for your sake and mine. It is these sorts of things that I prefer to have up front and not discover later."

She was pulling the paperwork out of her desk, along with an old-fashion fountain pen. The ink well was full of what looked like blood.

As Yoka stated that she would be a well suited match for the job she nodded her face staying the mask of indifference. Evelyn needed this job more than she would ever care to say. It put Yoka in a spot of prime abuse for her and she would never let the older woman know that. given that Evelyn is a minor with forged papers to make her legally older it was perfect recipe to go down the crap shoot.

With a silent nod Evelyn's eyes went from a flat icy blue grey to a vivid aquamarine as she reached her hand out towards a glass on Yoka's desk. It raised itself up high as Eve closed her hand into a fist turning the glass into dust in a contained sphere. "Eye can kontrol gravety and en can do maney zeings vith et."

With her other hand she reached into her pants and pulled out a small leather bag and opened it for the powdered glass to be inserted int it safely. It was a perfect implement for blinding opponents one of which that would cause semi permanent damage. She was intelligent and resourceful, two things that gave her the edge and save her rear in many cases.

Evelyn stepped forward and waited to be offered the pen. Around her neck as a thin scar just under her chin and around her wrists in perfect rings were similar thin scars these were the only ones visible. She was used to pain any attempt made on Yoka would be stopped.

Yoka watched her levitate and then destroy a glass in thin air. The fox wondered if she could do that to only inanimate things, but then the young woman explained that the could control gravity. Interesting.

The fox found many things interesting. She was almost as stone-faced as Evelyn, but not as quite. Yoka let her interest show on her face, but gave no indication as to what that direction the interest would take.

Yoka slid the pen and paper to Evelyn across the desk.

The forms were the standard working papers that removed Yoka, the cross fox, and associates from any damage that might occur during the job, yada yada yada.

The ink well was filled with blood. Yoka made an indication that Evelyn should prick the front of her finger with the pen and then dip it in the ink well, essentially adding her blood to the blood of the company.

When she was finished, Yoka would have her first job ready for her.

"What do you know about tanks?" Yoka asked.

Without blinking or flinching Evelyn took the tip of the quill and forced the tip of it deep into the fleshy part of her left hand and flexing it before pulling the blood soaked tip out before dipping it into the ink well and then signing the document with it. The wound on her hand wasn't that bad, it was more akin to that of a deep scratch than anything and it would heal quickly.

"Tainks? Zey are easoly destroiyed from ze undersiend vith en expolosive. But ef you vant one eye could easoly drive one. Or Leift it somevere." Evelyn stated bluntly while awaiting her instructions and order so that way she could execute them without hesitation or error. Her life was meant for orders and she would perform what was needed. "Vhat due you vish for mein to be doing?"

Yoka watched as Evelyn stuck herself and then signed without hesitation. When she was finished, Yoka picked up the paperwork, breathed on them to help the blood-ink dry, and then placed it in the locked drawer in her desk.

It seemed like this girl had everything Yoka needed in an assistant. She was perfect, maybe almost too perfect. Yoka was harboring a small suspicion that maybe this girl wasn't just a good fit, maybe she was sent her.

No matter. If she could do her job well, she'd find that Yoka rewarded her employees better than most competitors.

From the drawer, Yoka removed her purse, and pulled out a small black credit card.

She slid it across the desk towards Evelyn.

"I want you to buy me a tank. I trust you to pick the best kind. It must work. It must be functional. You have a week."
