Dead Weight (Kaya)

She only had the time to take on step forward when a column of ice formed around her mace going down to the floor and up to the ceiling. Consequently, her hand, her leg up to upper thigh, and about half a foot of her tail were all caught in the ice. It made two thoughts go through her head. The first was that she wished she had more cloths on, and the second was she didn't have a bra on. Kaya may be a demon but her body still reacted to the near by source of cold as her nipples went ridged.

"Well shit..." she said as the temperature was the proverbial bucket of ice water to the face. She took sharp in hailing breaths even as she tried to regulate her breathing. "Cyromancers...i hate you all so much for the pranks over the years...and maybe if you yourself would stop insulting people maybe you would get son help from your peers...hooo this is cold..." She said as she tried to pull herself away from it, but to no avail.

"any chance you can undo this? My body is going to go numb soon and that's going to suck." she tried one more time to get it but again nothing budged. The first thing she started to feel going numb was her tail as it inched up along its length. "and I would love to sit down....if you hadn't frozen half my body."

The ice turned to moisture and as it expanded to take back the places it had been it soaked Kaya's clothing. With a reluctant and exasperated sigh she tossed her mace behind her in a familiar manner as a portal opened to take the weapon in. "That may be what the ability is called, but every one that's had it and has pranked me with it has called themselves Cryomancers." Kaya then pulled her tank top taught trying to see how wet it was before curling up the bottom hem to wring as much of it out as possible. After this conversation was over she was going to go home and put some new clothes on.

"Sometimes I hate how much you mortals like water so much when it comes to abilites." She sat down putting a thin layer of shadows underneath her so she didn't get her seat wet. "No no on...gosh I hate having to explain this. I don't kill my father. I just have to prove my right to continue on the family name and such. If not I'm disowned and thrown out of the house...well castle really. He wanted me to come to this school for some reason that he didn't want to explain and I've been coming here since I was the equivalent age of the first year elementary students. Which by coincidence was when my Portaling abilities kicked in force." She really did not like being wet and cold, it rubbed her the wrong way.

Her skin became instantly dry as well as her clothes. Kaya sighed as she realized that she was going to need to lotion up tonight to keep herself from peeling with how dry it was now. "Leaving the house is one thing. Getting kicked out of the Family is another. From what my father has told me, from then on I'm a lone demon with no connections and no support in Hell. There are a couple of things that can happen to me. First, I could be picked up by another family as a sort of adoptee. That one is very rare. Second, Because I'm a succubi I COULD go to Lust and essentially sell my body out to any demon that wanted a taste, which let me tell you is not a good thing. the Third option is be banished here to the human world, never to return home. To other demons that would be a death sentence because some of them require the dark energies of Hell to continue...or certain items but those are few and far between. However it would be the best option for me since I'm a succubi, I don't need Hell energies to 'feed' myself. But again it requires whoring myself out and I don't like that idea." She looked down at her knees then and thought to herself so yeah, no pressure

She then looked up to Lei, "So what about you 'not saving' this village of yours? From what you just did there I'd think that you wouldn't have much trouble...unless your trying to dry someone off. Moisture on the body is a good thing, just thought you'd like to know that."

"I deal with stress differently then you. The more stressed I am the more I avoid it. When a project is on a dead line I get it done usually in the first couple of days just to get it over before my stress builds to high. A partner project like this is even better cause if stuff like what just happened didn't happen then we would probably be done today." She said rubbing one of her shoulders as she could feel her skin tightening up. screw lotion I'm going to need a shower she thought.

"its called a salon or if in conjunction with more then usually its part of a spa, and if your flat out gay im asexual. Especially with how you kept looking at my wet top." she said almost automatically as she continued to test her skin on her arms and legs.

She stopped what she was doing to look at him with a raised eyebrow. "First off, you hit me in the head with the largest volume of the Encyclopedia Britannica I have ever seen. So I'm sorry if I went into a pain filled rage because of it. Second, what do you mean survival reflex...you know what wrong question. Your telling me I'm scarier then ANYTHING you've seen at home? I don't know whether to be accepting a compliment or slapping you upside the head for not being afraid of what ever has hydrokinetics as a defense force."

With a sigh she brought together her shadows in a display of power. "I didn't know how to use this without first learning the necessary emotional response. For me it was anger, once I knew that I trained with it like a muscle till I got to the point of reflex. Maybe you just need the same sort of training. I don't know if you've already tried bit just think of how you felt when you saw me coming at you and try. Try again and so on."

"we just deal with stress differently and say that our own methods are the best and leave it at that." She said rubbing her arms not to warm up but to deal a little bit with the dry skin, this was going to be a long conversation.

"With how hard you are pronouncing you gayness would be like me hitting on everything that moves JUST to prove that I'm open to a lot. You just need to calm down in not saying your not attractive I was just saying you are bi. Its not bad, hell I'm bi and you don't see me complaining." she said with a joking tone as she chuckled.

now as she listened to his plight she had to ask. "So you throw yourself into your other studies to avoid the stress of learning how to be this 'savior' of you village? Your doing the opposite of what you should be doing, you REALLY need to take a break and breath. I would suggest a spa but I don't think your going to be willing to listen to my suggestion." she shrugged shaking her head.

"from my studies I'd have to say you would need to get it moving really fast. But steam can scald and ice can freeze the blood, there are a lot of things you can do with water."
