Shirigana stepped into the room, smiling. "Sounds like someone's awake!" He chuckled. "Did ya spill tomato sauce on yer fur?" He asked, picking her up. "Don't panic, but you need a bath." He braced himself, expecting Fluffy to become a whirlwind of slashing claws.

Fluffy as a human loved to take baths, but Fluffy as a cat didn't like it so much. But wanting the blood off of her, she nodded, willing to do whatever it took to get it off--well, besides shaving herself void of fur. "Blood." She said.

Shirigana chuckled. "Blood? I don't think so! I used ta make pizza fer a living, so I know tomato sauce when I see it." He scraped some of the dried blood from Fluffy's fur to taste it. His eyes widened and turned red before going back to normal. "It IS blood!" He proclaimed, surprised. He ran warm bathwater, shutting off the faucet after it was deep enough to put Fluffy in and shallow enough for her to lay down without drowning. Shirigana carefully scrubbed Fluffy. He asked no questions about the origins of the blood, assuming that Fluffy had hurt herself on accident.

Of course, Fluffy had no idea how it got there. Well, no. She had an idea, but nothing she could truthfully say was how it got on her. Her fur now soaking wet and soapy, Fluffy thought she'd had enough of this and jumped out of the tub before running down the stairs to the living room where she sat down on the couch.

Shirigana drained the tub before following Fluffy with a towel and firmly but carefully drying her off. "Can't have ya drippin' on my couch." He said, tossing the towel aside to sit next to Fluffy.

Fluffy's fur was now restored to its nature white. Smiling her thanks up at her friend for getting the blood off it her, she curled up against his side and looked at the television expectantly.

Shirigana lifted the remote off of the end table to flip through the channels. He smiled. "Ya wouldn't tell me what yer favorite kind of movie is. At first I thought you were just trying ta hide it because you were embarrassed, but then I realized that ya probably don't know yet. To fix this, we're goin' ta spend today watchin' movies." First up was a horror film about a murderer who hunted at night and changed into a friendly puppy by day.

As she watched, Fluffy's eyes kept getting wider and wider. No wonder cats hate dogs so much, she thought. She buried her head into the couch when it would show blood. Never had the sight of it caused her to react so. Not when her only childhood friend got killed in front of her, but when she got hurt an even shot, growing up. But ever since the night before and waking up to the sight of blood on her fur, she had freaked at the sight of any red.

Shirigana himself was getting rather disturbed. "Next!" He declared, changing the channel. It was a comedy, so he changed it again. A deep romance movie was just now opening.

At the sound of a different movie, Fluffy's head popped up and she watched the TV. Somewhere in the next few minutes her chin rested on his thigh because it helped prop her head up without it straining her neck.
