Shirigana stood up, smiling. "How'd ya like it?" He asked, picking up the popcorn and his drink. He had two thoughts nagging at him. The first was that he she probably would have liked a romance better. The second yearned to see the horror. He had no idea where that one came from.

Fluffy stood also. "It was nice." She would have enjoyed an old movie instead, but she didn't say that to him. It was nice of him to take her to see a movie, and she wouldn't be rude.

Shirigana was thinking about her answer, and it showed in his expression. "Nice?" He rolled the word around in his head, analyzing it as he stepped out of the room and held the door open for Fluffy with his foot. "Would you have rather seen something else?" Outside, the sun was setting; Time flys when you watch a movie.

Fluffy slid the corner of her mouth between her teeth and opted not to answer. She dd not want to feel ungrateful. The movie had been humorous, but not her favorite kind. But who am I to judge what kind of movie is good? This is only the second genre I've watched.

A knowing smile slid onto Shirigana's face. "If ya like somethin' else better, I want ta know for next time we see a movie." He explained, dropping his empty cup and half-empty popcorn bowl into the garbage. He opened the door and blinked. The sun was halfway gone. The strange thoughts returned. <I hope that stupid mugger is back with friends. I'll teach him to be afraid of the dark rather than hide in it.>

Fluffy shrugged. "Doesn't matter to me..." Okay, so she was lying. And he could probably tell.

"Good ta know." Shirigana replied, deciding not to press the issue. He walked down the steps that led to the theater and crossed the nigh-clear streets. From there, he headed down the alley slowly, half-walking and half-dancing. The sun was mostly hidden.

Not really scared, but deffinately not wanting to go down the alley, Fluffy asked, "Can't we take the longer way?" Her cat tail came out from the back of her shirt and swished back and forth.

Shirigana frowned. "But I'm gettin' tired." He pointed out. "And the long way goes all the way downtown." The sun was an orange line in the distance.
