Xing glanced down at his phone at the address he had typed down and then back up at the house. It was the right address, but the house was huge, a mansion, easily the biggest home he'd ever seen. His tail twitched once before it wrapped around his waist and walking up to the front door.

Tilting his head he'd knock and wait for a answer. He'd been invited here by Tiffany, the energetic girl he'd somehow ended up dating despite the short amount of time he'd been here. He hadn't talked to his sisters yet, he now knew that they were at the school, but for some reason he was afraid to talk to them.

He perked up as the door started to open, today was going to be another series of firsts for him. First real date with his new girlfriend, first time in a mansion, many more firsts. @Lucidity

Did her hair look okay? What about her makeup? Tiffany tried not to put a lot on, but she was just way too nervous and wanted to look her best. She was looking at herself in one of the intricate mirrors near the front door, checking for the hundredth time to make sure her eyeliner was even.

Actually, why did she even put on makeup? They were going to be sitting in the dark the whole night! Oh well. Maybe if Xing looked closely enough at her during the movie, he'd appreciate how good she looked.

Tiffany jumped when she heard the knock. With a deep breath she pulled away from the mirror, rushed over, and pulled open the door to greet him.

"Hi, Xing!!" she said with a bright and excited smile. He could practically feel the energy rolling off of her. "Did you get here okay? I hope you didn't get lost--I tried to give you really clear directions, but people still get lost all the time. Um--come in! It's warmer inside!" She stepped away from the door, waving him in. It was freezing outside, and she was worried that he might catch a cold.

The door opened, and his small smile appeared as he saw her, "hello Tiffany, it's good to see you." His tail unwound, revealing a rise it held, "I thought you'd like this," his tail would offer it to her as he entered the home. "No...ok yes, I got a little lost," he chuckled a little, his tail wrapping back around his waist once she'd taken the rose. "Thank you for inviting me," this was new, something he'd never experienced.

His sharp eyes glanced around the house, still surprised at how large and grand it was, so different from the houses in his home village. "Your home is nice," he wasn't sure how else to describe it, it shocked him a little that only one family lived here.

"I can help prepare the snacks," he offered, a little nervous but staying calm, "I've never really seen a movie before, thank you." His first movie, his first date, his first girlfriend, so many firsts, "you...you look really nice." It was hard for him to show emotions, but his small smile was there.

[Emotions: giddy, excited, nervous]

Tiffany just couldn't keep the grin off of her face. How could she? It was her first date! She wondered if it was his first too--but no way that it was. When he presented her with a pretty red rose her smile only grew bigger, and she accepted it. "Thank you! Hold on while I go put this into some water, okay?"

She vanished through one of the hallways and returned a minute or two later without the rose. "Don't worry about snacks! I already set everything up before you got here. I even sorted some of the films we have so you can pick whatever you want to watch tonight."

Tiffany paused and perked up. He noticed! "Do I, really?" she said, feeling a little shy as she brushed a lock of hair behind her ear. "Thank you so much." Despite her bashfulness, she was quite happy that her efforts hadn't gone unnoticed.

She gripped Xing's wrist and eagerly pulled him towards one of the hallways. "Let's go! The theatre's over here."

"Thank you for this," he said as he followed her, his hand readjusting to where he was holding hers, "I'll buy you dinner next weekend." This was new, something good, this was something he could look forward to, being with her, making her happy and being happy himself, "I've never dated before, but I've been looking forward to this." His tail instinctively unwrapped itself as he grew comfortable, sways slowly behind him.

As they walked he found himself stepping a little closer to her, his small smile remaining on his face. "Do you ever get lost? The house is so big," he jokingly, with a small chuckle. "I...my home was a village," his eyes zipped around a bit, "are your parents home?" Meeting her parents seemed inevitable, he was curious about how they'd react to their daughter dating a tattooed up monkey man.

He blinked in surprise as they entered the theater, the large couch and large screen, perfect for their evening. "Wow...," he said in a half whisper, his tail swaying a bit more behind him. Xing looked to her, "I have to admit, this is all really amazing, never seen any of this before."

[Emotions: giddy, nervous, romantic]

Tiffany felt her cheeks heat up as Xing moved to hold her hand. She gently squeezed his fingers, enjoying the feeling. "Dinner sounds fantastic," she hummed, pulling him closer as they walked. With a glance towards him she said, "You've really never dated? I thought you would have at least once or twice. I hope I don't ruin your first experience!"

"Me, in this house? No way! I grew up here, so I know all the ins and outs and secret passages--but don't tell my parents. I don't think even they know about some of the things I've found." Wink, wink. "Oh, um--yes, they are! Actually," she glanced behind her. "My mom was down here with me, but I guess she went back upstairs when you came. They won't bother us, promise! I told them not to." Tiffany didn't know how they'd react to her dating him either; this was the first boy she'd ever dated, let alone brought home.

She opened one of the double doors to the theater and motioned him on in. After locking the door behind them, she made her way over to the snack table and popcorn machine filled with fresh, buttery popcorn. Piles of movie cases sat in front of the large screen on the other end of the room. "Thank you! Well, I mean I didn't do any of this, so the credit really goes to my parents. I've always wondered how it looks to someone who hasn't even been here before."

"So...do you know what you want to watch, yet? We have a ton of romantic movies if that's your cup of tea. None of them have my mom in them though, don't worry! Unless you want to watch some of her stuff..?"

Walking over the movies his tail glided over the selections as he looked at them, "a romantic movie would be appropriate." He pulled one from the shelves with a chuckle, "I'm not against watching her movies, but perhaps not this time," he handed her the movie he'd picked, a romantic comedy, "perhaps I'll buy dinner for all of us soon, so I can meet them"

His eyes went to the snacks, so much good foos, so different from what slaves go to eat even when they won the fights. "So...," he gave her a small but slightly playful smile, "let's enjoy tonight," he'd gather some of the snacks for them to share, so she could start the movie as he had no idea how to work the tv. "This will be a first, so forgive me if I marvel a bit at the technology," he said jokingly, he had known such things exist even if he had never experienced them.

Xing would take a seat besides her, offering her some of the popcorn, he wasn't completely sure what to do, how to act, what to say, so as they settled he found his arm wrapped around her shoulders, glancing at her to make sure she was ok with it. This waw what couples did he thought, so it made sense.

[Emotions: nervous, content, romantic]

Tiffany let out a breath of relief. "Good, maybe later," she laughed. It was great seeing her mom in movies and all and she was a really good actress, but Tiffany thought it would've been so awkward if they spent their first date watching Mom's movies. What a great start to a relationship--here, watch my mom run around in a bikini for an hour while I cover my eyes!

She worked the popcorn machine until they had a large bag of nice buttery awesome popcorn and wow did she love this popcorn. Then, she moved over to the television with the romantic comedy Xing picked out and started setting everything up. Once the movie came up on the large screen and she pressed play on the remote, she moved back and went to join him on the couch. This had to be one of her most favorite couches in the whole world; the couch was so soft and cushion-y that it lulled her to sleep too many times to count before. She picked the popcorn from the offered bag very carefully and daintily, doing her best not to get her fingers messy with butter.

Tiffany grinned and leaned into him as he put his arm around her. She set her hand gently just above his knee and said, "Just do whatever feels right to you, okay? Don't think about it too much. I promise I won't get mad." Her hand lingered on his leg for a couple seconds, but she pulled it back and watched as the movie began. Then she agreed with what he said earlier, "Let's have fun tonight!"

He kept his arms around her, a calm content smile on his face, his tail instinctively wrapping around her as well. Things like this, something as normal as dating, we're things he'd at one time hoped for but didn't think he could ever have, yet here he was. So the movie began, and though there were a few things he didn't really get, he still found himself chuckling along at the film.

"This is....it's funny," he hadn't laughed this much in a long time, and he found her laughter made it all the more enjoyable. He did his best not to annoy her with to many questions, that and it was a little embarrassing. "I guess I was missing quite a bit back home," he'd give her a smile, his arm still around her.

As Xing had said earlier, he had never dated before, so he was completely sure about the steps most couples took. He'd look to her, remembering that she'd said to only do what he was comfortable with, that said he wasn't completely sure what he was comfortable with. "Tiffany..," he said in a half whisper as he looked at her, this odd girl who had somehow managed to get him here, "thank you." So, he decided to try something couple do, he leaned in and gently kissed her.

[Emotions: romantic, bashful, attracted, cheerful]

Tiffany would've been lying if she said she didn't enjoy Xing's laughter. It lit her right up and made her heart feel light and she couldn't help but think about how much she wanted to hear it some more. Each time he laughed, she wrapped her arms around his middle and gave him a gentle squeeze, hugging him closer and leaning her head on his shoulder. She found it rather endearing when his tail wrapped around her, and she gave it little pets throughout the movie.

"Isn't it? I've been waiting to watch this movie for-e-ver. And there are a ton more where this came from!" She was distracted when he spoke her name, and she lifted her head to look at him properly. Her eyes went wide when she found his lips on hers, and her eyes glew gold.

An image came to her, and she realized after a second that it was a peak into his future. There Xing was, on the floor with his back against a wall. He...was crying. The sight squeezed Tiffany's heart and frightened her, worried her. Why was he crying? Was it something she was going to do? What could she possibly do to upset him? Where was she in the vision? She looked up and around, but the image blurred and faded.

[Emotions: concerned, determined, protective, romantic]

When she came back to, she felt a fierce protectiveness overcome her. There was no way she was going to let him feel like that; she didn't know why he was crying, whether if it was because of something she would do or something else that will happen, but she was going to do her best to make him happy. This...started with the kiss.

Tiffany clumsily returned the kiss, and it was quite clear that she was inexperienced. She shifted towards him, bringing her legs under to prop herself up on her knees--but then she wobbled and lost her balance and fell on him, pushing him over onto the couch. Her face burned and exploded with color. "Agh--sorry!" she squeaked, scrambling to regain her balance (and dignity) and stop crushing him. To say she was embarrassed was an understatement.
