She hadn't expected him to come to her rescue, she watched him shocked. She felt weak, she had been so busy dwelling on her stupidity that Albel had almost gotten hurt. She suddenly saw how angry he had looked, she never saw someone get that angry before. He unleashed his wrath on the beast which had wounded her, she looked at him feeling useless, in the end he ended up protecting her. A shadow covered her wounds, she sat there watching him have his wrath on the beast. He seemed to be more powerful than her again, she was so angry at herself for failing him.

She watched Albel lose control, she didn't understand how one wound could get him this angry. She'd be okay, she was used to being wounded, she then saw him fall forward she ran to his side catching him gently she laid him gently into her arms. She looked at him concerned, her eyes showing how much she really cared. She wiped the blood off of his cheeks stroking his hair ever so gently. She hung her head, "I failed you, because of my idioticy you had to defend me. I should have been more aware, I'm sorry." She said her eyes started to tear up. She had let her feelings put Albel in danger, she wasn't going to let it happen again. He was probably exhausted and possibly in pain, she felt guilty that he would have put forth that much to protect her all because of her stupidity. She stroked his face gently, he had lost control over her getting injured. She had forced him to hurt himself in order to protect her. She felt ashamed of herself.

She couldn't protect him or captain, she couldn't protect Rowdy Dan either. Sure Albel wasn't wounded, but she hadn't been prepared and he could have gotten seriously injured. She could've had a repeat of the past, and she didn't want to lose him. Her feelings for him had grown so fast that she herself was shocked, but for some reason those feelings that had grown for him didn't want to be quenched or stop. She wasn't afraid of him, after all she had warned her about his powers going out of control before. She wasn't scared of him, she was ashamed of her forcing him to go that far. She continued to hold onto him, her own pain seemed like nothing to her.

Shakily he rose up to his feet silently. He takes a few seconds to brush the snow off of his body before turning to look at her. Suddenly his hand crosses her face in a slap, leaving her cheek a rosy red color. "Listen to me, and listen well. You did not fail to protect me. Had you not jumped in the way that beast would have killed me. However, you jumped in front of me and took the blow for me. You possibly saved my life, thus you protected me. Then, in your injured state, and that is a serious injury I'd like to add," he says, pointing at the shadows covering her open wound, "I took over the fight to protect you from retaining any further harm. Now then you are in no condition to be moving around like that.."

As he says this he moves towards her direction and picks her up, carrying her like a groom would carry his bride. "Now you are going to tell me what was bothering you earlier or I am going to drop you here and let you bleed to death," he tells her as he walks through the forest quietly.

She watched him rise to his feet, her eyes shown with worry for him. She felt her cheek burn with warmth from the slap, she looked at him with eyes that asked why he had done it. She looked as though she was going to cry, he had actually slapped her it was so unexpected to her.

"Listen to me, and listen well. You did not fail to protect me. Had you not jumped in the way that beast would have killed me. However, you jumped in front of me and took the blow for me. You possibly saved my life, thus you protected me. Then, in your injured state, and that is a serious injury I'd like to add, I took over the fight to protect you from retaining any further harm. Now then you are in no condition to be moving around like that.."

She felt him pick her up off the ground into his arms, she looked up at him. She was being carried like that of a bride would be from the groom. Her heartbeat fastened her face was flush again with an exception of where he had slapped her, her eyes looked towards his. She didn't know what to do, she was in his arms again and her heart seemed to burst with speed when he merely touched her. She almost felt embarrassed to be in his warm inviting arms.

"Now you are going to tell me what was bothering you earlier or I am going to drop you here and let you bleed to death,"

She couldn't say it, she whimpered lightly, she couldn't tell him how she felt towards him. Though her eyes could, yes they could speak for her with her simple emotions. Her eyes looked into his emotionless gray eyes. Her eyes had a warmth and weakness to them, they seemed to glisten longingly under his gaze. She looked as if her heart was worn in her eyes, her emotion towards him was crystal clear. Her eyes seemed to say I've fallen in love with you Albel. With that she started to tear back up, one could tell she was afraid of being rejected by her new friend. She herself couldn't utter the words she felt because she was afraid of a verbal rejection from the man she had fallen for. She waited for his response, and clung close to him.

(gah my compy is laggy I'll be back later)

Albel stares into her eyes, his own growing wide in shock. There's no way..there's just no freaking way.. He blinks for a few seconds, still in a deeply surprised state before he stops and gently sits down on a nearby rock, still holding her except now she rested in his lap. He sigh and looks down at the ground, lost in his own thoughts and in complete disbelief at the silent message he had just been given. Without a word she had said something the had rocked his world, and very likely her own as well. He felt her clinging onto him, obviously afraid of him rejecting her. Part of him screamed to lean forward and just kiss her right then, however he knew at the current point in their relationship it wasn't smart to do.

Finally he looks at her quietly, staring deeply into those tearing eyes. He felt him begin to melt within her stare but he pushed it away mentally before starting what he knew was gonna be hard to say. "Look..Fia..I think I feel the same way you do..but...I don't know if we should rush into it. We've only known each other for about a day and that may lead to failure because we didn't take more time to get to know each other before jumping into a romantic relationship." He takes a deep breath, ignoring the internal pain each word he had said brought him. "I am yours, and it is obvious now that you are mind as well, however let's not jump into this right away."

She stayed close to him awaiting his impending reaction, she knew he must've been shocked. She was afraid, his gaze was hard to bare without knowing how he felt, she clung to him burying her face against his shirt. She didn't want to go insane watching him especially if it wasn't going to be a good reaction to it. He sat down, she had never thought she'd have felt this way towards him or anyone. But being with him made her feel so alive and happy, he was stern, kind, lonely and somehow a perfect fit for her heart. If he was a weakling she probably wouldn't have fallen for him, but instead he was strong, he was also weak in matters too, she had also been able to trust him because he was like herself in some ways.

She finally looked back into his eyes trying to figure out what his reaction was going to be. She felt like her heart was about to rip in two with the waiting, she loved him. She knew it was so fast, but she really loved him.

"Look..Fia..I think I feel the same way you do..but...I don't know if we should rush into it. We've only known each other for about a day and that may lead to failure because we didn't take more time to get to know each other before jumping into a romantic relationship."

Her eyes went wide, he felt the same way, she clung to him. All the other words he said were as nothing to her ears once she heard he felt the same. She could wait so long as she knew he cared, she knew he had said he thought he felt the same. But somehow she deep in her heart believed because he said that, that he really did feel the same way.

"I am yours, and it is obvious now that you are mine as well, however let's not jump into this right away."

She rested her head gently against his chest, so long as she could be with him and know he cared she'd be fine with it. She smiled softly rubbing her head gently against his chest before resting it back against it, she loved his presence. "Mmm, I understand." She said lightly. She was so happy just to hear that he felt the same way toward her, and to hear him say that he was hers also made her feel more happy inside. They didn't have to kiss or become romantics, after all she wasn't the type of girl who would be one to dress up and go on dates either. Though a part of her really longed to be kissed by him, but she understood that they should take it slow. And even though she wasn't the type of girl who would put on a dress and go out, if he wanted her to she'd be willing to, though she'd probably be quite embarrassed to go in public that way. She was glad that they could be together even if only as friends and feel the way they did, just because they cared for each other didn't mean they had to turn into completely different people.

Albel sighs and after a few more moments of sitting he rises to his feet and begins to walk through the forest again, holding Fia in his arms. After a few more minutes, they break out of the forest and return once again to the Academy's main grounds. He frowns and looks down at her, "We really should get you to a medical specialist to take a look at you. Keeping up my shadow bandages is starting to get a little tiring." He then walks over to a shadow and stands in it for a few moments. "Get ready, I don't think I've done this with you yet. It's going to feel weird so just bare with it for a few moments."

He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, suddenly fading into the shadows with her, holding her in his arms. To her, everything would just seem black, she would be able to feel him, but not see him or anything else. However he was able to see light spots, each of them representing a shadow elsewhere. He could see the scenery in which the shadow was surrounded by. After walking for a few moments he finds the hospital room and walks through it, appearing in a shadow in the room. He turns to a nearby nurse quietly and looks down at Fia. "She's got a serious injury here, I think her stomach was torn open." He then whispers to Fia so that only she would hear, "I'm removing the shadows, it's going to hurt but you're tough." Suddenly the shadows bandaging her stomach were pulled off before the nurse got to her and the blood began to flow freely from her injury.

"We really should get you to a medical specialist to take a look at you. Keeping up my shadow bandages is starting to get a little tiring."

She gazed at him lightly, he was being so kind to her. She wasn't going to protest, she herself could probably stitch herself up with an exception of the internal things since she wouldn't be able to see it or reach it easily. She really didn't enjoy doctors, but as long as he stayed with her she felt she'd be okay.

"Get ready, I don't think I've done this with you yet. It's going to feel weird so just bare with it for a few moments."

She closed her eyes holding onto him unsure of what he was going to do. She herself could've probably walked to the hospital without his bandage being on. Even though she'd lose a lot of blood, she was able to take things that most people couldn't. Though usually once she accomplished them she'd pass out for days or be at a near death experience, but since he had come to her rescue she was most definitely going to be fine.

"She's got a serious injury here, I think her stomach was torn open. I'm removing the shadows, it's going to hurt but you're tough."

She nodded lightly, her eyes were glued to his. The minute pain seared through her body the only way one could tell she was in pain was a slight twinge of her eyes, her hand grasped onto his shirt, her eyes seemed to say please don't leave me. She didn't want to be alone, she knew most people were different. But she really didn't want him to leave her. If the nurse protested she'd protest as well, she didn't want him to leave her side. It might have been a bit odd, but she needed him for some reason.

The nurse runs towards him, a stretcher immediately prepared and doctors storming from all over. Albel gently laid her down on the stretcher and began to follow as they took her to the back. However, one of the doctors put his hand on his chest to stop him. He shakes his head quietly and tells Albel to wait in the waiting room for news. Suddenly the shadows began to extend from the area around them, pointing at the man menacingly. The doctor's eyes widened in surprise and he stepped back in his fear. "I'm going.." Albel says to the doctor, his gray eyes showing no emotion. Once again he had returned to his demon prince appearance and the doctor in his fear nodded.

Albel then nods back and follows the stretcher towards the back. The other doctors and nurses didn't say a word to him until one, with a shaky voice, walked up to him and began questioning him about Fia. He answered to the best of his abilities before telling the doctor that they would be unable to pay. The man then looked at him quietly and asked him how he knew her, explaining it was for legal purposes. With a sidelong glance towards her he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before looking back at the doctor, "She's my fiance, we're to be married in a few months." With a nod the doctor turns and hurries off to put away the files. Albel continues to follow the stretcher into the operating room before standing outside of the room, looking through the window to see her. He extends on of the shadows in the room, much to the chock of the doctors, towards Fia, forming a hand with it and gripping hers gently.

The pain she had was quite severe, yet she only had that slight twinge in her eyes. She wasn't the type that cried when she was in pain, or fainted, she was able to take it. In order to make it look like she was insane when she was fighting she had to be able to hide the fact that each wound hurt. She had brainwashed herself to not notice pain as much. She probably looked insane to the nurses and doctors, she had such a wound that a normal person would've cried, screamed, fainted or something. And yet she was calm and seemingly painless. Probably the only one able to tell otherwise would've been Albel.

"I'm going.."

She was so happy sometimes that her eyes could be so useful, he had understood her without a word. It was nice to be able to communicate with him this way. Her blood loss made her shiver slightly, but she had lost more in her past. This was a relatively small wound, she had huge surgeries before where people thought for sure she would die or something and then run away from the hospital that night after having the surgery. She wasn't exactly the model patient, but doctors found it nice to not have someone screaming in agony.

"She's my fiance, we're to be married in a few months."

Fia almost chuckled when she overheard this, he had lied, probably to protect her or not cause suspicion. But he had said such a cute lie too, her his fiance, she wished. Though it'd have been way too fast if they were, but she definitely was going to annoy him with it later. She tried to figure out a witty way to say it, Hmm, you said we should take it slow and then we're fiances to be married in a few months. Tsk tsk tsk... She chuckled inwardly, mmm she wasn't going to let him live that down. She frowned lightly when he had to leave the room, she hated how idiotic doctors were, she had preformed some emergency surgeries in some of the most unsterilized environments in the world and still the people ended up fine.

A light smile formed on her lips when he formed a shadow hand and gripped hers gently. She gave the shadow hand a light squeeze, he was more thoughtful than most people. Most people wouldn't have done something like that, though she was a big girl and able to handle the pain this had been one of the first times someone had sat through it with her. Her first surgery being when her father tried to kill her, it was a patch job but it had saved her life. She had learned a lot about caring for wounds during her life with gangsters and pirates, most of the ways were a bit painful, but they did the job. The doctors had no need to administer pain reliever, they probably did anyway, she felt a bit drowsy. Dang it, they did administer pain medicine, sure she wasn't a masochist but she hated being drowsy. She probably should have told them not to administer it, she probably now wouldn't be able to leave that night seeing she had probably been administered something that would make her too drowsy. Her eyelids flickered, she fought the pain medicine, she really hated being put to sleep during these things. She felt the shadow hand and gave it one last squeeze before drifting into sleep a smile on her face.

The doctors proceeded to carry out the surgery, slowly at first because of their shock of the shadow hand. Albel stood outside calmly, his face to the window and watched every second of the surgery, silently promising that the doctors would die if they nerfed anything up hr tensed up a little. Finally after an hour or so, they finish and proceed to wheel her to a room. Albel follows silently, staring at her the entire time and watching as her chest gently rose up and down in her sleep. Finally after going through the maze they call a hospital they get to the room and set her into a real bed. After the doctors leave he walks over to her and takes her hand silently. This was definitely not a situation he enjoyed being in. He glances over a the door and pulls the shadows up over it, so that they can't get in unless he lets them.
