She half smiled at William, surprised by his response. "You sure? You seem like someone who would love hugs, but whatever you say." She laughed lightly and looked at him with joy.

"I guess you aren't used to such, short people. All the people I have known are all taller than me." She was so short compared to William, it made her a bit sad. She frowned and looked at her shoes, then turned around to pick up her bow.

"Would you like to start heading back? Or stay some more. Either way you have nothing to worry about." She asked patiently.

<div align=center>William laughed, and shook his head, the last time he'd actually hugged someone, it'd gone horribly wrong and he'd ended up in a situation he certainly wasn't ready for. "I'm alright for hugs," he chirped, "for a little while at least." William usually expected people to be shorter than him, and he told her that. He liked meeting someone who was taller than him though, or at least matched his height. He felt like a giant among the first years, William didn't like feeling like a giant, all he'd read suggested giants were nasty beasts who rode atop mammoths, he didn't think himself nasty at all, at least, he tried not to be.

"I would like to go back." He answered, softly. He wouldn't be able to find his way out without the girl's help, he wasn't even sure how he'd ended up here, he'd just been walking, walking and thinking. It would be getting even colder soon, and that was around when William decided he should get into bed (though who's bed, he hadn't quite decided yet, it was better to share, it was warmer.) He wanted to be warm, that was all. William craved warmth. It was something he appreciated very much.</div>

"Alright." She sighed. 'Now what Claire? Are you going to freak him out with your powers? Have him running away scared for what you can do?' She was starting to get mad at herself. "I am truly sorry, if you get scared by this. I really am, though they will help us out." She closed her eyes and smiled.

"They are friendly, so don't worry. Just don't freak out. She focused hard to be able to do what she wants. "Hold on, okay? Almost done." She breathed lightly then stopped making any noise at all. She opened her eyes and looked behind William. "It's okay, he won't hurt you."

She walked towards William, smiling at him. 'I wonder if I impressed him. I bet he has no idea what i just did.' she thought. "Come on, it's this way. First though, I want you to meet some friends of mine."

<div align=center>An uneasy look crossed the boy's face, this better not be spiders. He thought to himself. He followed the girl nonetheless, a wave of curiosity flooding over him. Of course, he couldn't really show the girl his own powers, and besides, he didn't want to. They weren't something quirky he enjoyed having, and they made his life incredibly difficult. William was a lot more dangerous than he let on, and perhaps than he realized, simply because if he were to hurt someone with them, he wouldn't ever have meant to, and that was what the situation always was, he didn't mean to. He never meant to.

He honestly, just wanted to go and find Gabriel, he needed to let him know everything was alright. Bill got the feeling that if he were to check his cell phone there's be a hundred and one messages from his friend, I'm sorry Bill. I'm sorry Bill. I'm sorry Bill. He felt bad for simply not talking to him for a little while, Gabriel had that look of an abused puppy when he was upset, and frankly it made William want to kick him in the face, as well as the complete opposite. "Where are you taking me?" He asked, suspiciously.</div>

"Right here, just stand by this tree." She walked further out from it, then whistled. From all around the woods, there were glowing eyes, stalking them from a distance. She ran into the forest, leaving William for a second. A few seconds later, she emerged with three wolves around her.

"Cool huh? I can talk to animals, but because wolves were a big part of my childhood, they literally follow her everywhere, making sure that I am not hurt." She walked up to William and winked at him then laughed. "Pet one, they won't bite."

<div align=center>That's an odd power. All of a sudden the situation had turned very George Martin-esque, and William felt a little frightened. He'd never tried to break into the mind of an animal, they tended to be savage, not as complicated as people. He had no doubt that he'd be able to do it, but he didn't want to, he didn't feel there was ever a point, they never had anything interesting to say anyway, they never understood anything you were saying. He frowned at the creatures, William wasn't very good with animals, he'd had a dog set on him a little while ago by one of the nastier kids in his neighborhood.

He'd run away from it, it had bitten him badly and had made him cry. His mother had told him not to be so silly, it was only a little bite. He shook his head, he'd rather just look than touch, and so denied her offer. "I.. I've had bad experiences with large animals." He squeaked, "I.. I don't think Gabriel would be very happy if.. If I did get bitten." Not very happy was an understatement, from past experiences, Bill knew that Gabriel got terribly angry whenever he was put in danger. "I don't think uh... Well... Um.."</div>

"I am sorry, I didn't know." She looked at William with sadly. "They are friendly, i told them that you were my friend." She blushed and looked down. "I guess we will just go. I am sorry if I scared you, or brought back memories." She shivered and tried to warm herself up by rubbing her arms. "You ready?"

<div align=center>William smiled a little, and told her it was alright, she hadn't known. A lot of things had gone wrong for Bill over the years, he never really talked about them, they'd already happened and he couldn't change that, no use complaining about it. He took a few steps forward and paused, waiting for the girl to follow him, he'd get awfully lost without her and he really didn't want that to happen. "Come on, let's go." He smiled a little, "It's getting dark."
