Claire knew about this place, and this was one of the first things that she liked about this school. having forests and trees everywhere for her to feel safe and sound. She brought her bow and arrows, and her knife, even though she probably wouldn't need them. 'What to do first.' She thought.

<div align=center>William was panicking, he had no idea how he'd ended up here, nor how he'd get back again. He'd heard things about this forest that made him feel just a little bit wary, he couldn't help wishing he'd just stayed in his dorm all of a sudden. Why do I ruin things for myself? He frowned to himself, he'd only gone for some fresh air, he'd needed a break from studying. I should have just opened a window. He sighed, he was spring loaded at the moment, on edge, ready to attack as soon as he came face to face with a terrifying beast. Though the likeliness of that was incredibly low, the day was bright and the winter sun was filtering through the canopy above him, spotting the forest floor with little pools of light.

The boy started, and turned his head suddenly, someone else was here and he could feel them. It wasn't a dangerous presence though, at least, he didn't think so. William was good at judging personalty, and his judgement seldom failed him. Bill took a nervy breath, trying to home in on whoever was close by, his brow furrowed, "h... Hello?" He stammered, he whimpered softly. I wish Gabe was here. His eyes settled on an unfamiliar face, though he was glad to see another person at least, but thoughts were running through his head, careful, Bill, she might be a banshee, a warlock. William didn't really know what either of those things were, nor what they looked like, merely that they were the sort of things that might happen to show up here. He had half a mind to run away, but that would only make his situation worse...</div>

Claire heard something, she half turned and there, in plain aright was someone. They quietly said something to her. She was startled, because she though that no one would date be out here. Out of cation, she drawed her bow and aimed it in the direct kf the new person. "Who are you? What are you?"

<div align=center>William's eyes widened, and he froze on the spot. He stared at the girl, unblinking, unmoving. His appearance could be perhaps likened to a baby deer staring down the barrel of a gun, all of a sudden he was very frightened. His breath hitched in his throat, it was funny how someone half the size of him could make him feel like a mouse. He began to stammer something out, though the words never came and it left him looking just a little helpless. See, Bill, you should have just stayed in your dorm, now you're gonna die. He still wasn't quite sure how he had gotten out here in the first place, he should have just stayed on campus.

He stared at her for a moment more, his dark eyes fixated on the tip of the arrow. Bill's appearance was somewhere between cute and terrified at current, though he usually had a worried sort of look about him, regardless of the situation. He wondered what was stopping him from running, it might have been the fear of getting lost even further. Somewhere deep in the back of his mind he knew he could do far more damage than a mere arrow to the chest, but he wouldn't, ever. His personality simply wouldn't allow it. "I... I..." What did she mean what was he? He didn't think he looked any different to anyone else, aside from that quirky little foil hat, "I.. I'm a boy?" He squeaked, wondering if that's what the girl had meant.</div>

Claire paused and then laughed at the response that the boy gave her. 'I'm a boy?' She thought. 'What type of answer was that?' She was islet for a moment, trying to figure out a good response to the little words that he had said. "At least you can talk. Most of the creatures out here and dumb, and only really want to attack unless you tell them otherwise." She lowered her bow. "I just wanted to make sure that you were indeed a human, and I wanted your name. " she half laughed. "I'm Claire, and what is your name?"

<div align=center>William backed a way a little, he assumed she was a student, or at least he hoped so. Bill hadn't really come into contact with anyone that hadn't come from the school. He drew a breath and tried to calm himself down, the poor boy was trembling visibly and the look on his face was still one of plain nervousness. He frowned a little, trying to work out whether she was assuming he was some kind of wild forest beast or not, of course he wasn't, he was just a lost boy. Bill shifted nervously, glancing behind him and coughing. "My... My name is... W-William," he stuttered, his gaze shifting down to his feet.

He was still just a little scared she would change her mind and spear him through the throat, he wondered who would end up finding his cold, lifeless body. Not Gabriel he hoped, anyone but him. He studied Claire, she was much shorter than him, though most people were regardless of age, he was a tall boy, and incredibly leggy. He noted a second later that he definitely was human, and asked her if she was from the school. Though the answer was probably yes, where else would she have come from if not the same place as him?</div>

She half smiled and sighed. "I'm from the school, but I'm pretty new so most people have no idea who I am." She looked for a second at his trembling body. "It's okay William, I'm not going to hurt you, okay?" She took a few steps closer to him. 'Hey, he is kind of cute' she thought. She looked around to make sure there was no danger. Then ask. "What are you doing out here, William?"

<div align=center>Bill nodded, he supposed he could still be called new, he'd been here for a little while, though hadn't ended up making many friends, he was an incredibly shy boy, and tended to take fright when other people spoke to him. He didn't have a clue how he'd gotten to know the two people he had, but he supposed he was glad he was, they were both good people, though incredibly different. Polar opposites, even. He relaxed slightly, and a small, soft smile crossed his face. She was being sincere, he told himself, he could sense it. William was good at picking out lies, and this didn't feel like a lie. That was one useful aspect of his empathetic powers.

There was the question, what was he doing? He hadn't a clue, and he told her that. He laughed awkwardly and shook his head, "I'm lost," he returned, he'd just walked, he hadn't paid attention to where he was going. William needed to shake that habit, he thought, it was a bad one, and it got him into trouble sometimes, though then again getting lost could also have it's benefits, and they were good benefits. "I wanted to take a break from studying," he paused, "I kinda ended up here."</div>

Claire laughed in happiness at his response. "I know exactly how you feel. I love to get away from all of my problems and worries and just, feel at home. To feel a bit free". 'Oh great Claire, why do you keep saying that!' She thought to herself. "It's nice to just walk, not knowing where your going, for me at least." She smiled.

<div align=center>William rubbed the back of his neck, it was the opposite for him, though he was absent minded and therefore he tended to end up going places he didn't fully plan on going, whether he wanted to or not. He nodded though, he didn't really know what it was like to feel all that free, his paranoia usually got the best of him, or if it wasn't his paranoia it was his nerves. Although, recently, he'd been taking the 'close your eyes and jump' sort of way of life, in a more literal way than anyone would ever expect. He was still hardly anything but a little mouse boy though, it'd be a while before anyone would be able to bring him out of his shell completely, he didn't know if he'd found the right person to do that or not, though maybe it wouldn't take just one person, he needed to learn to relax.

Bill smiled warmly at Claire, and tilted his head to one side, his hair falling across his forehead as he did so, Bill took a second or two to push it away again. "It's nice to be outside," he stated, nodding once, but it was cold. William would usually pick the warmth of a duvet over the cold, winter weather, and he wasn't usually fussy over who's duvet it was either, a bed was a bed, it didn't matter who it belonged to.</div>
