It was day, the sun rays flowing through the windows of the cafeteria. It was the middle of the afternoon, and there weren't many people around. Tables and chairs were assembled in neat rows, most of them empty. There was one though that wasn't. A darkly clothed woman was seated at one of the tables, her feet resting on the wooden surface.

Her eyes could not be seen, as a black blindfold covered them. It was not that she was blind or that her eyes could kill, it just was that her eyes were so sensitive that she easily could burn them at looking at the smallest of natural lights. It wasn't something she wanted. The woman wanted to stay sightful. Of course, calling her a woman was assuming she was human, but it was far from being the case.

You see, this black haired maiden was older than everyone could think, she would soon be four thousand years old. She was a vampire, an elder, though she didn't have a coven of her own. But she was planning on changing that fact soon. Most vampires allready had theirs when they reached their first millenia. But you see, she wasn't an ordinary vampire, she had been a solitary one for a long time, a loner.

The woman was holding a small piece of paper in her hand, but she wasn't looking at it. It merely was a recent newspaper relating the events of the town. She had read it in the confinement of her home, not to long ago. It was boring really, but it told of the mysterious death of some mafioso guy in the middle of a busy street. She had killed him personally, though indirectly.

It wasn't her fault if he was so fat that his artery had allready been so full they would explode at the smallest contact. Anyways, she was here because she wanted to get an encounter with young vampires, offering them the chance of a lifetime, being part of her coven. Certainly some would be decided on accepting her offer of protection and fellowship. Well, as far as it ever got between vampires.

The relationships were allways a bit strained because of the questions and battles of rank between the community. They probably were still too young to try and challenge her now, but in time, it would come and she would have to fight to keep her grasp over the coven she wanted to make. Sighing softly, she placed the newspaper in front of her, continuing to wait for a vampire or two to appear.

She would be able to detect them, as every vampire, or nearly every vampire was able to. A non beating heart, nearly silent steps, the sound of canines gritting on other teeths. You could even hear the sound of very slowly moving thick dead blood in their veins, even if it was hard to make out of all the other sounds.

Cordelia stifled a yawn as she entered the cafeteria, disguised as a man in her regular black clothing, as always. However, having just woken up — some mortal habits were just too hard to break; and besides, if you can endure a few hours of sunlight, why waste the chance to see it? — , some lose strands of long, black hair showed from under hat. She had noticed, but she hadn't much cared. For all the other kids in this school knew, she was just a guy with long hair and just had it under his hat. Not like she cared what any of those little brats thought.

She didn't know why she had come here. It wasn't like she could actually eat any of the food this stupid school served. As she looked around this part of the building, she noticed that it was entirely empty. Entirely empty except for one person, sitting at a table, feet upon the wooden top. And of course, it had to be that elder vampire from a few nights ago. She still disliked the woman for having mourned the loss of her favorite shirt more than the loss of a human life.

She ignored the woman, and turned her eyes away. There was no way she was going anywhere near the elder, no way at all. So, Cordelia just sat down at another table. She didn't plan on eating, of course, so she would just have to have fun ignoring Rayana. And that wouldn't be any trouble at all.

Jira entered aswell not yawning or anything even though he had just worked up. From his recent adventure the other night he relized that he was free of servitude but he didn't belive it still. He just began to walk aimlessly threwout the small space allowed between the brown tables. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed a blind folded women reading a news paper. He made no gesture of confusion or ignorance but just ignored it. Then he noticed Cordelia he wasn't going to say anything as his mind wandered toward not being as free as he thought he was...it just didn't feel right at all.

Jira wore his average attire, a black robish kind of cloth made of silk with black fur lining the kneck of it though he didn't seem tickled by it even as it brushed along his kneck infact he hardly felt it at all. Along the robe were many many designs and seemingly brush strokes of red making him look deadly and a bit artistic. His crimson eyes stared at a stool he had decided to sit down in he brushed back the robe slightly so it wouldent get caught and sat down looking around again before looking down at the table. Under the robes he wore a black shirt which was coated in lines of blood as an extra layer of protection and black jeans which had a black belt going threw the hoops his hands stuffed inside the robes pockets as his steel tip black boots sat aimlessly beneath him.

Roliner moved quickly through the halls till he came to the Cafeteria. Behind him he heard loud footsteps of his evil twin, Ronlyn. Ronlyn kept talking to Roliner, telling him about there father, but he never listened. Salena said this would be a safe place for im to go, but he was found by his brother, who was only five minutes younger then himself.

Roliner was wrapped in a black cloak with the hood up, since the sunlights rays effected him very badly. His red eyes gleamed from under the hood as they looked around the Cafeteria. He noticed that there were not many people here, but the people he saw one night when he was feeding on a young woman were there, though there was one he didn't recognize, a boy.

He turned around to see the door opened and Ronlyn walked in his bright blue eyes looking happy. Roliner sighed turning around, trying to ignore his brother.

"Hello again, Roliner." Ronlyn said in a sneer. "You know it is getting very annoying trying to get you to talk. I would think you had many questions about our father."

"Well I have nothing to know about our father who is evil, and who wants our powers, that's it! When he finds me he will take my powers like he did you." Roliner said in a whisper.

"We can't even use our powers anymore, so whats the point in keeping them?!" Snarled Ronlyn back in a whisper. Ronlyn didn't have a cloak on so his wings were visible, and they were folded. He looked around his surrondings, not very interesting in it, so he looked back at Roliner.

The blindfolded female was patiently drumming her fingers on the table, a small smile playing on her lips. One hand had gone in her pocket and she had taken out a long wooden rod, well long, about 30 centimeters. She started to twirl it expertly between her fingers, a funny trick she had picked from a human kid not too long ago.

Her fine earing caught small footsteps coming to the cafeteria, too soft to be a mortal's, but there was no heart beat to indicate the light footed werewolves. She needed not to turn towards the doors to know who it was, for she recognised the scent of the cautious vampire that she encountered that night. It was still too fresh in her mind for her to forget.

Continueing to play with the small stick, she followed the disguised vampire with her ears, learning he had strayed far from her, as was expected. She could not see the reaction, but there was enough light going through her blindfold and eyelids for her to see, somewhat, the forms and things around her. Yes, her eyes were that sensitive.

Another set of footfalls soon followed, this one she didn't knew, but hey, the more the merrier as they say. The newest vampire walked and sit with the first, maybe a mate, a fledgling or simply a friend, she didn't know. Voices echoed in the cafeteria, two different but disturbingly similar ones. The female elder simply raised an eyebrow before returning to her previous activity, twirling her wooden stick.

She hoped tit wouyld annoy the younger vampires sufficiently so they would talk to her. But she was ready to wait, she had all eternity to do so and since she had fed the smae morning, she would be fine for a while. Since she was older, she could cope longer than fledglings and young vampires. It was the advantages of being an old hag of a vampire.

She raised her blindfolded gaze to the newcomers, a delicate eyebrow raising above the black fabric.

(For your information, she is penspinning her stick. http://penspinning.skyblog.com)

Cordelia turned her eyes to the entrance as she noticed.... who else? Well of course, her little fledgling. She would have smiled, but she wasn't in the mood to do so right now. She nodded briefly, just to acknowledge his presence since it was still too early in the morning for her to actually want to talk. Dark blue eyes watched the robed child as he walked over to a stool and sat down, and she remained silent all the while. There was nothing special about the way he was acting today in her opinion, he seemed just as he usually did. Jira ignoring her hadn't surprised her in the slightest.

Her gaze moved away from her fledgling and to the door as two new ones entered. The two looked alike, which meant that they were most likely related in some way, and she recognized the one from the other night who had been feeding from that young woman. The fact that she knew all but one of them, Ronlyn, was more than strange to her. However, what also seemed strange was that she, Roliner, and Rayana had all been out the other night and were now all here again... and it hadn't been planned.

Odd, the woman thought to herself. Very odd indeed. She stiffened somewhat, a bit uncomfortable around all these vampires — well, all except Jira, since he was her vampire child. She tried to make this movement unnoticeable, though.

She hadn't heard Ronlyn's and Roliner's conversation, but she did hear Rayana take out something rather long and start spinning it. Cordelia turned around once again to face the elder, eyes narrowing somewhat, though it probably couldn't be seen from the shadow on her face. She growled quietly, somewhat annoyed by her spinning that thing around and around, though she said nothing of it. She didn't want to talk to that heartless woman, but the spinning was annoying her too much not to. "I hope you realize that twirling that thing around is annoying," she mumbled in her usual masculine tone. She could care less if the woman replied to her or even stopped, she just wanted to make that point known.

Although she was looking at Rayana, she kept an eye on Jira as well, just in case he decided to do something uncalled for. She had come to expect such things from him.

Jira eyed both vampires behind him for a secound before looking back at the empty table hearing a pen spinning but ignoring it for the most part ((I cant post long forever since I am doing more then one thing)) He eyed the twins though more so then anything else...how strange...and somehow he could tell both of them were also vampires...though being only young and honing in on all of his senses...

He put the hood of his robe up leaving nothing but small pearing red eyes that were just barely visable he muttered something under his breath barly audiable to anyone...he mumbled. "Why are there this many vampires here..."

He knew eventually he would have to leave he coated diffrent parts of his blood powers all around so that the thing would have atleast some trouble finding him...he knew that he couldent outrun it forever and with speed and power like that it was going to be hard unless he managed to atleast get in one really powerful shot...but enough about him...he just eyed Cordelia for a moment wondering if she also sensed all of these other vampires...

"What's the point in making our father stronger?!" He snapped at Ronlyn, and as he said so he went to a random table and sat down on a chair, and his brother followed, who's face was now furious with anger.

"Don't you care for our father?! He's trying to do what should have been done a long time ago!" Ronlyn snapped back in a louder voice, standing opposite of the table.

"No I don't care about Tarver! He killed our mother! Why should I care about him?!" He said also in a higher voice, standing now, and glaring at Ronlyn. Roliner turned his head looking at the other vampires, then turned to his brother. "Now shut up Ronlyn. I'm not supposed to speak about this around other people." He said angrily in a whisper, but Ronlyn just smiled evilly, and his eyes gleamed. After a bit of looking at his brother, he sat down again, and tried to ignore Ronlyn as best he could.

"Fine then." Ronlyn whispered and his smile left his face, and he also took a seat and he fiddled around with his poison dagger that hung at his side, and his eyes looked over everyone, curious why a bunch of vampires were around here, not like there was anything neat, was there?

His eyes stayed on Rayana the longest, then he looked over everyone else before returning his gaze to Rayana.

The female vampire continued to spin the stick expertly between her fingers and hands, some times even throwing it from behind her back, above her head and into her other hand then continueing to spin it as if nothing happened. She slid her feet off the ground, their soles now resting on the tiled ground. She was about to stand up when a voice interrupted her train of thought.

"I hope you realize that twirling that thing around is annoying."

The vampire gave a dark chuckle. A smirk made its way to her lips, twitching the corners until her teeth were showing in an amused smile.

"But I live to annoy, my dear." She replied to the other's statement.

While had had stated her life of pure annoyance to others, the two new vampires had made themselves at home, talking about somthing or another. The black haired woman wasn't really paying attention to them, though indeed keeping them in earing range, just in case.

Standing, she seemed to glide out of her chair, centuries of practice backing her up. The things you could learn in a few thousand years it was amazing, especially if you were bored, it only motivated you to do something, even the craziest of things. Well, she did learn how to sew porcupine ears together. When she thought back on it, she allways found it funny, even if it was an utter waste of time.

The black haired female could feel the gaze of one of the similarly voiced vampires, not liking it one bit. It was as if he was expecting something. A silent snarl was sent in his general direction, sending a clear annoyed message. It said 'Back off the glare if you want to keep your head'. It was a more discreet message than a roar, but still being obvious to those of vampire blood.

The vampire strode gracefully to the doors, even if she was blindfolded, she didn't trip on anything, as she had eyes that were way too sensitive for their own good. Sure, her vision right now was only in 'black and white' and only forms, but anyways. Soon, she found the doors, her hand searched for a moment for the handle, wanting to close it, but since it wasn't sticking out of the wall, it couldn't make as much shadow.

When she found it, she closed it, then going the the second. Once they were closed, she turned her back to them and leaned on the hard wood, closing the most obvious exit. Not that they couldn't jump out of the windows, she only wanted them to remain. What a better way to convey such a message than closing the only direct exit.

"So, you must be wondering why we all are here." The vampire stated, still spinning and twirling the stick between her fingers.

"Why are there this many vampires here..."

Even if it was barely audible, Cordelia had been able to hear him. She didn't answer, though she did agree. Why would so many vampires come to the same place when such a meeting had most definitely not been planned? Perhaps there had been, but if so, the woman knew she had not been told about it and her appearance here was just by chance. Though, if it was in fact planned, she believed Jira didn't know about it either... but she was just going by his last statement.

She turned a bit of attention to the two similar looking vampires as they began to talk louder. She wasn't listening to their conversation really, but she could tell they were both most likely angry about something. Ah, well, not her place to get involved, and therefore she wouldn't. Those boys looked old enough to take care of themselves and silly little arguments anyway.

"But I live to annoy, my dear."

Cordelia let out a soft growl at the woman's comment. It was just plain ridiculous. "Well isn't that mature," she said. She knew she was quite rude most of the time, but never annoying. Not in her opinion, at least.

She watched as the blindfolded elder walked over to the doors, having a bad feeling about that. Perhaps the woman was leaving? Well, then good. Although, she had a feeling that wasn't what was about to happen. As Rayana shut the doors, a slight feeling of panic went through her and another soft growl sounded from her. What the heck was going on here?! If this woman was trying to trap them in here, then she had another thing coming. Cordelia immediately stood up, looking at the woman, eyes narrowed.

"So, you must be wondering why we all are here."

"Well, aren't you smart," she said. "I mean, it's totally normal for a bunch of vampires to go to the SAME EXACT place when it isn't planned. Oh, yes, completely normal." Her voice was just dripping with sarcasm and annoyance, and she rolled her eyes.

"Now what's the meaning of keeping the doors closed? There's no reason for it." It was obvious she was uncomfortable with what the elder had done, both from her actions and her voice.
