"Oh, wow, you have a phone and you know how to use it." Hal said plainly. A second after, he realized he had said that aloud. Hal covered his face with his other hand, "Fuck-- Sorry, I wasn't supposed to say that!"

Hal ran his hand down his face and looked at Lei's reaction, "No, I really wasn't supposed to say that-- Just hand me the fucking phone."

Lei blushed. He barely knew how to use it, really. He still couldn't set alarms right. Technology, on the whole, was a confusing thing. They tried to offer him touch screens but the entire concept baffled him.

He handed Hal his phone but gave his shin a good, swift kick first. "Asshole," he said.

"Ow-- Fuck you, too." Hal retorted. He hopped a couple of times to recover but he knew he probably deserved it. The guy was already being relatively nicer to him, after all.

Hal was easing out his breathing for the moment he was holding the phone because he feared he could accidentally short it out. For the most part, technology hated him.

"But if the place you're talking about is full of creeps, I'm going to strangle you in your sleep." he said as he reached his hand out to return the phone, "It's Harper, by he way."

Lei grabbed his phone back and put "Harper" as a contact. There. He was going to talk to that cute nerdy desi guy again and see if he could get this little shitstick a job because he owed him, unfortunately.

"All right, I'm going to head out and see if your illegal downloading thing is legit. If I get arrested, I'm coming for your soul."

He gave Hal a 'I'm watching you' gesture before he turned around and headed back to his dormitory.

Hal was going to get sick pretty quick about having to tell people he was older than he looked. "I'm sorry that pedophiles apparently exist and I could be targeted." Before, he was a potential target for pedophiles and also kidnappers because of his family.

"Go google it, shit for brain!" Hal said as Lei turned away, "Look up proxies and stuff like that if you're worried of getting tracked down. Sheesh, someone should give you a crash course on the internet!" he muttered. Lei was probably a little to far to hear that one.
