It had been a long night, the restaurant and the Vodka bar, were much busier than he ever thought they might be, especially, considering that it had just opened. Grabbing a bottle of his favorite blend from behind the counter, a hint of aniseed and cayenne, Malakias made his way to his private office, located on the second floor behind a panel near the bar where he could watch the floor if he wanted through a two-way mirror.

Sinking down into a leather chair, Malakias poured himself a very liberal amount of vodka into a crystal tumbler, no ice and took a small sip as he considered a few things that he had to handle - or take in hand - one of them being his sister. They had gotten off to a very bad start the other day. Things had not gone as he hoped, and Malakias found himself being forced into continuing taking measures he was not keen on - like keeping Rada tied to her "bodyguard", Maxim.

Frowning slightly at this thought, Malakias leaned back, placed his drink on the desk and thought about his next move.

Maxim was outside enjoying a short cigarette break before going back inside the restaurant to talk to his boss. He took a long drag off the black coloured cigarette, a Russian brand he was rather fond of, and exhaled with a sigh. He had no idea what the man wanted to talk to him about but if he was being summoned so it would not be good. Though, the man was about 95% sure exactly what the topic of conversation would be.

“Rada.” he growled quietly to himself, his accent making it seem almost a snarl. The girl had been the source of many of his headaches and the number one reason he smoked and drank so much. Even life in the army had not been this exasperating to him. He had hoped that the two of them being sent to this island would be the end of his worries, but sadly due to his unique skill in finding people he had been sent along for the ride.

Finishing off the smoke he tossed the butt to the ground and crushed it under the sole of his shoe before turning back around and heading inside of the restaurant to find the boss man. He found Malakais sitting in a leather chair enjoying what was no doubt a rather expensive vodka and thought to himself that it must be nice to belong to such a rich family, though none of that ever touched his face. The only expression he had was of one that was tired and wanted to go to bed but had a job to do anyway.

“You wanted to see me?” he asked Malakais, switching now from English to Russian. “I am guessing there is something on your mind, no?”

Malakias looked up stoically and with an unreadable expression when a tall dark-haired man entered his office. "Maxim," he said in greeting. "I was hoping you'd stop by at some point," he stated evenly as he leant back and considered the man in front of him.

His father, Dimitri, had hired, taken on in a way, Maxim, as a bodyguard of sorts for himself and Rada, more actually for Rada though since Maxim's unique gift helped him track, find and keep his sister, Rada, safe, in line and out of harm's way.

"Drink?" he offered, as he gestured to the bottle of vodka on the desk. "There's ice in the mini fridge behind you if you need it," he added as he took a slow sip of his own drink.

Maxim nodded and took an empty glass and looked over to where the mini fridge was and then decided against it. While ice was good for chilling the drink it would eventually melt and had the potential to water down the drink, so the man just poured the vodka straight into the glass. He took a liberal amount but not enough to be insulting.

Taking a sip he let out a quiet sigh, it was good. It was probably one of the best vodkas he has had the pleasure of sampling in a long while. Bringing the glass up to his lips he took a larger gulp this time and made a satisfied sound before turning his attention back to Malakais to wait for the man to speak. He had called Maxim here for a reason after all and the bodyguard was sure the other would get to said reason in his own time.

Malakias watched Maxim impassively as he helped himself to the vodka, silently approving of his choice not to water it down with ice. Thinking perhaps that he needed to look into getting some tumblers that were pre-chilled, maybe even magically chilled, since cold vodka was also nice, just not with ice cubes.

"Maxim," Malakias finally said as he held his tumbler sort of absentmindedly in one hand, "I had, as you probably heard, a small encounter with Rada the day we arrived." he stated matter-of-factly, knowing wolves often gossiped like old women given the chance. "Since then her attitude is not any better than it was before we came to the island," he added calmly, "And as much as it pains me, I think she needs to be dealt with," he explained coolly as he looked at Maxim expectantly.

Maxim sighed and took a sip of the vodka before bringing a hand up to his face and rubbing his forehead. This was starting to feel like an on going thing, though usually he was just summoned to find the girl when she would run off but this was something else.

“You do know when I am asked to deal with things that usually means people get hurt, yes?” He took another sip of vodka before continuing. “Of course you do, you are the boss man now after all. I am assuming you have something else in mind then just breaking bones?”

Maxim was not sure what else he would be good for other then smashing things and hunting her down but Malakais probably had a few suggestions and he would at least listen to them.

"I do, Maxim, I do ..." Malakias replied grimly at his words, both a subtle reminder and warning of sorts. Both okay in Malakias's mind as he wanted, needed, to distance himself from his father's ways as much as he could.

"Beating and punishing Rada like my father did, before we came here, serves little to no purpose. All it does is antagonise her even more," Malakias stated evenly as he regarded the man before him.

"In fact, I know without a doubt, my sister will not bow or submit, and she certainly does not seem to care for her life. She is also under the assumption that our father actually cares what happens to her..." he sighed, more in frustration than anything.

"My, our mother, she cares, yes, but not Dimitri," he stated coolly, "No, the old wolf could not care less what happens to an omega, even if she is his daughter," Malakias declared as he got up from his desk. "And that is the problem, I fear..." Malakias had been given, just before they left, free reign to keep his sister in check... do whatever you feel is necessary, Dimitri had said to him right before they boarded the plane here.

"What can I do to Rada that hasn't already been done and failed, and won't potentially kill her in the process?" he asked Maxim darkly.

“Something else?” he asked mostly to himself as he gave it a bit of thought himself before shaking his head. “Nothing I know of. We bark, she barks louder. We growl, she attacks. Nothing works and it is troublesome. Causes too many headaches.”

Maxim brought the glass of vodka up to his lips and drained the entirety of it's contents in one final swig. He was thinking of all the times he had to hunt Rada down, all the annoyance she has caused him over the years and simply shurgged as he set the now empty glass down.

“If a way exists I am too simple to know it.” was about all he had left to say on the subject. He wasn't dumb but the Rada issue was best left up to minds greater then his own, he fell into a very comfortable niche of hurting that which needed to be hurt and hunting down what needed to be found. “Unless you intended to be nice and leave her to herself.”

That last comment was said off hand in a way that let people knew Maxim was not serious, he knew the family, or at least the father, and what little he knew was telling him this was not something they would just let go. Malakais on the other hand? Maxim was still trying to get a handle on this one.

"No, that's exactly what she wants, and I'm not going to give her that luxury. Not when she is deliberately disrespectful, ungrateful and quite simply hasn't earned it," Malakias stated coolly. He was definitely not going to let Rada have her own way. Not now, and not ever - unless she became a little more willing to bend and cooperate with him - which wasn't really a possibility since she seemed hellbent on defying him.

"I was thinking of something more permanent, maybe like a bonding spell that won't allow her out of your sight, or that keeps her within certain boundaries," he mused as he helped himself to more vodka.

A spell that would bind her to him? He could think of many reasons why that would be a bad idea, but most of them were based around the fact that he wanted her out of his sight sometimes. That girl had been the biggest pain of this job and the only moments he really enjoyed were when she was not around. He thought for a moment before deciding what words to use.

“Would that be a good idea though? She is already unruly enough as is and if something like this was forced on her it could potentially only make things worse.” Maxim was unconsciously tapping the pack of cigarettes in his pocket as he said this, he was really starting to want one with all this talk of magically bonding Rada to him or whatever. “Plus it would be a giant headache for me.”

He had not meant to say that last part but it slipped out none the less.
