"That's true....let's ask then."

It was worth a shot. Thankfully the person in front of them had a rather short order, so they were gone pretty quickly. Once the transaction was done, Anthia stepped up to the counter. She took a deep breath.

"We want to pick ten different types of donuts. Would you have any recommendations?"

"Oh! Well today's special doughnut of the day is Boston Creme!"

So that was one down. Nine more to go.

"Do you have a list of popular doughnuts maybe?"

"Maybe...let's see..."

The cashier then went shuffling through some drawers nearby. The elf gazed at her sister. Hopefully this would work.

It seemed that the cashier understood them. "Oh great!" She said, before looking over at Anthia and wondering what she was thinking. "Have you ever tried that one?" She grinned at her. "It's really good actually." With that, the cashier returned, with 10 different donuts. After looking through them, she listed them off for her sister. "Boston Creme, Strawberry glaze, peppermint, triple chocolate, vanilla, orange and creme, plain, blueberry jam, coffee, rainbow sprinkles...?" With a nod to her, she added their two onto the list. "Is that good?"

Anthia nodded in agreement.

"In general I like the donuts filled with stuff. I'm so happy I get to freely eat them now."

Daddy, being the horrible jerk he was, would not let her eat sweets. Actually, he had a habit of starving the girls in general. He didn't like fat chicks, so any signs of chubbing up would get punished quick. Really though the true reason was due to money; he didn't give his slaves enough cash to afford much. Val did her best to help make sure they were all fed, but it was common for them to end up with the bare minimum. It was strange now having two fathers that were more than happy to spoil their children with love and goodness.

"Mhm! That sounds great. As for drinks...."

Her eyes gazed at the drink options and then at the bestseller list to see if it also mentioned beverages. Sure enough, there was a list for that too. Problem was it was a Top Five list, not a Top Ten. She frowned but then counted out how many options they actually had. Oh! So really there were only twelve flavors. This wouldn't be as problematic as she thought.

"So we just need five more choices from the drinks besides Iced Tea, Lemonade, Fruit Punch, Berry Swirl, and Kiwi Strawberry."

"Those are always yummy." She stated before nodding once again at her sister's approval of the donut choices. "We will take those and twelve drinks..." She paused. "Just let me figure that one out..." Her and her sister looked over at the drinks menu, giving it a good one over before discussing to themselves. "I'll pick the next few then!" As Anthia had given them only seven out of their twelve that they needed, she huffed towards the list. "Well, it seems that we would just take every other one on the list? Vanilla Milkshake, Iced Coffee, London Fog, Water, and... Orange Juice?" Yes, a few of them weren't as interesting sounding, but it was good to still have the basics. If no one else wanted them, Sherry would just take the water and orange juice.

Boring choices, but they covered all of the bases. Anthia nodded in agreement.

"We will get Iced Tea, Lemonade, Fruit Punch, Berry Swirl, Kiwi Strawberry, Vanilla Milkshake, Iced Coffee, London Fog, Water, Orange Juice, Blueberry, and Pineapple drinks please."

As one could imagine, it took the workers a while to complete this massive order. When asked if they wanted it all to-go, Annie nodded and answered yes. There was also the matter of payment. The cashier tallied the prices up on the register and uttered the amount. That was no problem for either of them, but who was supposed to be paying for it? Instinctively the elf went reaching for her wallet. She was used to having to pay for things herself.

"Sounds good!" She said in agreement to her sister and the cashier, letting them both know that she was okay with this order. After she had ringed it in and Anthia had cleared up some of the technical things, Sherry put her hand close to Anthia and shook her head. "I'm paying okay?" She got out a big was of money, counted in, then gave it to the lady. "Thank you very much for taking such a big list of things!"

Anthia stopped and looked at Sherry confused. She witnessed her purchase all of the food. Her attempts to get her wallet ceased. It seemed everything was covered. The elf reached for the doughnuts. She couldn't really carry the drinks too; she was not strong enough for that. The elf waited for her sister. She couldn't help but ask though...

"Why did you pay for everything yourself?"

The lady smiled, before giving her a nod and slowly handing her the two trays of drinks after her money had been secured. With both her hands firmly on the drink holders, she turned after thanking the lady once more. As they started to walk, it took her a second to properly answer that. "Well, I guess that I wanted to. I know it's not a good reason, but I really do what to give back as much as I can, and paying is a part of that, yes?" She pushes the door open with her elbow, and waited for her sister, before blinking and wondering why it mattered. "Why did you want to pay?"

"I'm....it's no big deal. I was just curious."

She decided not to express her thoughts about this. Not that it was any trouble, the elf just felt that she made an unnecessary question. After all, it's not like she had never been helped out before. It was just...adjustment problems perhaps. Her smile returned as she walked through the door. Now it was time to head back to campus.

"I hope everyone will be happy with the snacks..."

"Ok! I just wanted to make sure is all!" She smiled as they walked together. Sherry looked at their choices, wondering if their selection would be enough for the runners. If not, there wasn't much that they could do about it now; perhaps give it to their own family. "Me too, but if not then that's okay too." There was no guarentee that they'd even want food or drinks from then, but they would surely try. "We did this because we can, and not that we had to. I think that alone is enough to get an award or some sort. Helping out the competition was something that Sherry thought was a lot more important than fighting all the time with them.
