Charlie finished laying the last napkin on the table furthest from the christmas tree, and stood back to inspect the table, and placed the his hands into the front pockets of the apron je was wearing. A trio of undead who were also laying plates did the same, before shuffling away into the sarcophagus, which went and hid beneath the tree.. It was excellent, properly laid out. He'd put roast vegetables here, and a tureen of peas and carrots there... The table was beautiful, each person's plate topped with a single silver christmas cracker. The hall looked lovely. There was a large christmas tree in one corner, and tinsel adorned the walls, and in the centre, covered in a tablecloth, was the emmense table.
Around the edge were the plates, and in the centre, the food. There was several immense, juicy turkeys, dotted at various points around the table, a christmas classic. There was also a roast ham, chickpea cutlets and nut roast, for those who could not eat meat, and delicious meatloaf made of human flesh, for those who had to consume it. He had picked up the meat from jack's the previous day. The table was full of dishes. Several immense bowls of stuffing, plates filled high to the brim with pigs in blankets, tureens filled with roast potatos and parsnios, and carrots, peas, sprouts and other vegetables. There were innumerable gravy boats and bowls of cranberry sauce dotted between the plates.
He had had his fleet of undead working in the kitchens for the past few days, making cakes and sweets for desert, but the past twelve hours had been devoted to cooking the meats, the vegetables and everything inbetween.
The deserts were equally impressive, but they were stored aside for later. Christmas pudding, mince pies, trifle, devils on horseback and yule logs a plenty. There was also several large tubs of ice cream, but they were stored elsewhere to ensure they didn't melt. There was also a table with mulled wine and other beverages, such as grape juice and lemonade. Charlie felt he should keep an eye on this, to prevent any underage drinking.
It was a paupers christmas, something Charlie had picked up long ago, a christmas for all those people who either couldn't or didn't want to spend christmas with their families. A place where everyone was equal, for good food, and good fun. Noone should be alone on christmas.
It was time to welcome in anyone, anyone who wanted to spend christmas here, or simply get a respite and meet with friends.
((OOC: Feel free to post as you wish, throw anyone you want in, and as for dishes on the table, if i've missed any classics, feel free to make 'em up))
