Charlie finished laying the last napkin on the table furthest from the christmas tree, and stood back to inspect the table, and placed the his hands into the front pockets of the apron je was wearing. A trio of undead who were also laying plates did the same, before shuffling away into the sarcophagus, which went and hid beneath the tree.. It was excellent, properly laid out. He'd put roast vegetables here, and a tureen of peas and carrots there... The table was beautiful, each person's plate topped with a single silver christmas cracker. The hall looked lovely. There was a large christmas tree in one corner, and tinsel adorned the walls, and in the centre, covered in a tablecloth, was the emmense table.

Around the edge were the plates, and in the centre, the food. There was several immense, juicy turkeys, dotted at various points around the table, a christmas classic. There was also a roast ham, chickpea cutlets and nut roast, for those who could not eat meat, and delicious meatloaf made of human flesh, for those who had to consume it. He had picked up the meat from jack's the previous day. The table was full of dishes. Several immense bowls of stuffing, plates filled high to the brim with pigs in blankets, tureens filled with roast potatos and parsnios, and carrots, peas, sprouts and other vegetables. There were innumerable gravy boats and bowls of cranberry sauce dotted between the plates.

He had had his fleet of undead working in the kitchens for the past few days, making cakes and sweets for desert, but the past twelve hours had been devoted to cooking the meats, the vegetables and everything inbetween.

The deserts were equally impressive, but they were stored aside for later. Christmas pudding, mince pies, trifle, devils on horseback and yule logs a plenty. There was also several large tubs of ice cream, but they were stored elsewhere to ensure they didn't melt. There was also a table with mulled wine and other beverages, such as grape juice and lemonade. Charlie felt he should keep an eye on this, to prevent any underage drinking.

It was a paupers christmas, something Charlie had picked up long ago, a christmas for all those people who either couldn't or didn't want to spend christmas with their families. A place where everyone was equal, for good food, and good fun. Noone should be alone on christmas.

It was time to welcome in anyone, anyone who wanted to spend christmas here, or simply get a respite and meet with friends.

((OOC: Feel free to post as you wish, throw anyone you want in, and as for dishes on the table, if i've missed any classics, feel free to make 'em up))

Irso was dressed in his snazzy black and red suit with a red tie to top it all off. It was his first public event since coming here and despite his winter classes at the college he hadn't had an opportunity to meet all young minds he would have the pleasure of filling over the coming years. While parties weren't few and far between on campus, they all were being held by students which made it seem like a place for him to avoid. However, a fellow co-worker was holding this little event and he felt no qualm in joining in.

He wasn't sure if you had to bring a dish or not so he simply brought a meal he had learned on his last planet. They were small black cubes with a sweet green filling inside. Accompanying that he brought a large bowl of the dipping sauce meant to accompany it to give it a more juicy taste. Of course, all these things weren't being carried by him but his "beings". One was a tall tan woman with black hair and glasses, and the other was a shorter woman with three eyes, white hair, and no nose. He had to admit he had gotten creative on that one as he was on a lunch break when making her.

When he entered to see the abundance of food laid out he almost felt an internal question form in his stomach "How the hell am I gonna eat all this?" It wasn't a well-known fact that he could devour large amounts of food but given the chance, he would try as many new dishes as possible.

"Just put it over there...I think?" He spoke to the two beings and watched them stroll off to a table.

He had given them nice dresses to appear normal but he couldn't help but remember the weird looks he got when picking out clothes for them at the store. Truly this world was something else. The tall one wore a long black dress while the short one wore a long sleeve red top with a poofy white skirt. He was no fashion guru but he felt they were presentable.

Noticing Professor Rotmoore he walked over to introduce himself

"Good evening Mr.Rotmoore. My name is Irso Vudemo. I'll be working with you next semester." He offered the usual friendly smile and handshake.

"Ah Irso" said Charlie, as he shook the man's hand with his gloved hand. He had seen the name written down somewhere, some staff memo or one of those fancy emails he had worked out how to read. He was prax, or well from mes, Charlie was sure of that... but what did he teach? Charlie took a running guess.

"You're going to be teaching... spiritual magic right?"

He looked at the man for a few seconds, and did the same to the man's companions. He wasn't sure what they were. They felt like some form of undead... but not a traditional kind, some form of construct maybe? He wouldn't mind a look at the two creatures later in the meal. Irso himself appeared to have black wings. Some form of angel? He was holy, yes... but not earth holy. It was subtly different. He could still feel it in his bones, that cold sensation... but there was something else. Charlie pondered this for a moment. It would probably be best to ask Malara. She had a more comprehensive, if a little biased, knowledge of praxian divinity.

"You're from prax right? I'm currently in the process of learning oleti. Its quite an intresting task. I initially tried to find some loan words with languages i speak."

Irso gave a friendly polite chuckle as he quickly glanced to make sure his constructs had performed okay.

"Well, Oleti has picked up a lot of words from the Turac's on planet Mes. I don't believe there are many loan words, but what do I know it has been awhile since my last visit."

His wings perked a bit when his companions for the evening returned to his side and silently stayed behind him. It was partially weird he thought, but then again this islands perception of weird was more personal then uniform. Did he need to introduce them? The culture here was also different than most.

" I hear you are a Professor in Necromancy. A talent I partially fiddled with years back. My original teacher was more attune with that sort of stuff. Though his manner of doing so was a bit unorthodox.....Anyway, after years of study, I was able to make these."

He pointed to the two constructs.

"I didn't give them names yet, but they will be my assistants in class ."

"Hello~" they spoke in an almost creepy harmonic unison.
