Once they were back on solid ground, Dalia slid off of Alexis' back and rubbed her arms. She hadn't realized just how cold she had been until they had landed. She smiled up at him, only flinching a little when his tail cut into a tree nearby. His comment was one that people had pointed out to her a lot lately. She was confused though. She couldn't deny that. "I'm... just dealing with a lot of emotions lately. Some I don't think are my own."
Carefully, Dalia slipped closer until she could pull her arms gently around Alexis' large draconic head and hug herself against him. A lot of what she thought and felt didn't feel like her own thoughts and feelings lately. But these weren't some of them. This, she could tell, was all her. "It was good. I liked flying with you a lot. I like you a lot," she added, nuzzling her cheek against his.
She was unsure, scared even at the idea that formed in her head. But Dalia and Alexis were alike in one important way: they preferred action to talking or thinking. Turning to bury her face against his, Dalia kissed Alexis on the snout and squeezed his head a bit tighter. "I don't wanna go anywhere right now. Back home is confusing. School is confusing. My own head is confusing." But out here, flying with Alexis and being close. That was simple. Easy.
