The nurse smiled at Laelynn. He was rather buff, and stood at good six foot even. "A fever? Um wait one second I can get a doctor for you." With that the nurse vanished, a few seconds coming back through the dorr next to the counter."Uh the doctor is ready when you are. Just follow me please." Malek was actually worried. Why did she have to bring him here. She would likely try to stay away from him as much as possible after she learned what was going on.

Lăelynn sat down next to the chair Malek left, curling her knees up to her chest. She hoped he'd be alright. It would be just such a horrible day if her first friend on the island had gotten sick on the same day. Was it her fault? Had she been unknowingly carrying a flu bug from spain?

The dragoness absently looked over the health posters pasted around the room. What not to do when pregnant. Why you should quit smoking. How to eat healthy. Signs of various diseases. Lăelynn was even more worried after that. What if it was one of the diseases on the wall? Malek could die if it was one of them. Lăelynn curled up and tucked her head under her arm, waiting until she heard from Malek or the doctor.

Malek opened his mouth to comfort her but the doctor quickly opened the door. "Hello Hello!" The doctor was pretty happy, even after they looked at Laelynn and Malek. "Now I heard someone had a serious fever and I came as soon as I could. But first.....I heard their last name was Naritoloth?" "Yea....." Malek said weakly "So fire dragon....alright then!" The man said cheerfully. "And....age?" "1400.....but physically 14." "Oh.....oh my....." The doctor chuckled and walked to the computer, logging in and typing something in. They looked back at Laelynn. "Your friend is completely fine. I dont even need to check, I've done my reaserch. Your friends just in heat. Which makes sense at his age.I only got to say to you young lady, tread carefully" The doctor made a growling noise as a joke which made Malek go red.

Lăelynn looked at the doctor thoroughly confused. Heat? What was that? It wasn't on any of the posters. The doctor said not to worry but Lynn still worried. He had said 'heat' like she was supposed to know what that meant. Was it contagious? It probably wasn't deadly. Maybe it was just like the flu and it would go away on its own.

The dragoness didn't want to ask because she didn't think she'd like the answer, but her confusion was very clear on her face.​

The doctor laughed at her confusion. He was just a little to happy. "I'd say heat is a..........desire to mate. Normally only for females but for Naritoloths it seems to happen to both sexes. Its kinda funny if you watch a Naritoloth in heat actually. I should know, I talked to some back in the day." The doctor chuckled while Malek remained silent and kept blushing. This was nearly to much for him.

Lăelynn's mouth moved as if she were trying to speak, but no sound escaped. She couldn't figure out how she felt about that, but it wasn't a positive feeling. Her thoughts went immediately to the red string in her pocket and the panic showed clearly on her face.

"I-I'm sorry Malek, this is my fault. I-It would be best if I didn't stay near you."

The dragoness got up in a hurry and rushed out, abandoning Malek and her map with the doctor. She quickly took flight the moment she exited, going anywhere but there.

Malek was just speechless, he got up to follow Laelynn but was stopped by the doctor. "Malek before you go....I'm no Naritoloth....but I'd like to say....your father was a great man...and may Mal watch over you dear dragon prince." Malek looked at the doctor and smiled. "Thank you very much Doctor. That mean alot." Malek then rushed off, heading out of the clinic. "Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaelynnnn? Laelynn where are you?! You didnt do anything wrong! Laelynn?"
