"I guess," Teddy shrugged, thinking of his brother. He'd managed to end up a dad before the age of eighteen, so maybe that was a a good, solid point on this girl's part. Then he shrugged again, saying, "Yeah, I don't blame you - that was very poorly worded on my part. Lemme fix that."
He coughed and quickly said as an aside, "I'd say this in a theatrical Englishman's diction and accent but I doubt that'd get anything out of you so instead," before clearing his throat and rephrasing. "I meant your name. Not leaving here until I know who you are. Also, I could sing unrelated songs while waiting - yeah, I'mma do that. Seems like it might annoy an answer out of you."
Almost instantly, he launched into an unrelated song's chorus, true to his words.
"It's not over tonight
Give me one more chance to make it right
I may not make it through the night
I won't go home without you or your name at least and abrupt transition into something else just as high!"
Ba de ya, say do you remember
Ba de ya, dancing in September
Ba de ya, never was a cloudy day - you know, I can keep this up all day, amigo."
