Alex nodded, thinking he understood the wendigo's situation somewhat. "Speaking of territories, where is yours?" He was pretty sure he'd notice the wendigo's scent lingering if he would stumble upon it's territory... but he wanted to know for other reasons. As a new predator in the woods, he knew that established territories would shift. Where he hunted would affect where prey would go. Alex' plan was to hunt as little as possible in the wendigo's direction, allowing more wildlife to "wall off" the wendigo from civilization. As a side note, in case dealing with the wendigo would become a pressing issue, he figured it'd be god to know where it roamed.

"Forbidden Forest," Wess said after a pause for internal laughter. He didn't want to tell Alex where his cave was, where he slept. Too dangerous, and as much as Wess was a good guy who believed in good intentions, his instincts drove him to hide his weaknesses, no matter how subtle.

It would not have been wrong to say Wesley treated the entirety of the Forbidden Forest as his territory. There were scary creatures there, yes, but he was at home there, and he knew how to deal with anything that came his way where nature was concerned.

Wess inched closer yet to the safety of trees. He kept watching Alex as if waiting for a dismissal from the other man. When given, Wess would be off like a bullet into the trees and as far as he could go.

Not surprised by Wess' reply, Alex grinned ever so slightly. Alex observed him momentarily and then said "Until we meet again", as he sat back down again.
