Malek jumped in surprise when she opened her eyes. "No no no no no no. You did nothing wrong. You are perfectly fine, I just brought you back to the park and laid you on a bench. No trouble at all, plus you look cute sleeping. Malek chuckled nervously at his little attempt at a joke.

Lăelynn's cheeks flushed a brighter pink. She really hadn't meant for anything of the sort to happen. Ahh why did this have to happen now... I let my guard down too much.

"I-I'm really very sorry Malek. I'll make it up to you I promise. I just hadn't been sleeping well... I-I should be getting back to work..."

"Laelynn....." Malek looked at her with his ember eyes with a stern look. "Your fine. You dont need to promise me anything. You should just sleep. You said you haven't been sleeping well then sleep. Don't push yourself so hard Laelynn. Everyone desrves a break now and again." Malek gave a wide smile as he spoke. Every word seeming to just come out on its own.

Lăelynn lost herself in the burning amber of Malek's eyes, her flushed cheeks fading. She felt like she could see through them to Malek's soul, a beautiful soul hidden from anguish and despair. The dragoness didn't know she was moving closer until ner nose rubbed against Malek's. Lynn gasped and pulled away only slightly, tilting her head down to watch the ruffles in her skirt.

Malek didn't move as Laelynn moved closer. He was frozen in the moment. Half of his body wanted him to move while the other wanted him to stay. "L-Laelynn..........." Malek knew what she tried to do but his mind was so conflicted he couldn't find the words to respond. She was still very close to her and Malek contemplated the two ways this could go. One of them Malek was practically begging for.

You know you can't do that Lynn... Papa will be upset. You can't go back on your word. Lăelynn pulled further away from Malek, shaking her head.

"I... I shouldn't... I can't do this. Papa... Papa will be upset. I promised I would stay away until the effect of the thread wore off... Until you didn't feel... That way towards me... "

Malek sighed and stepped towards Laelynn. "Weeeeeeeeeeell Laelynn. You see I havent made a move on you ever since you fell asleep. I'm perfectly fine with us just being friends. But you however.....you kinda seemed like you may have wanted something else with that kind of move. Hmmmmmm?" Malek had a mischevious grin on his face as he spoke. Oh how the tables turn Laelynn.... oh how the tables turn.

Lăelynn stepped back quickly, the look on Malek's face very different than the one she had become familiar with. A strong bubbling terror began to well up in the dragoness' chest. Lynn whimpered, watching Malek's every move and shrinking into her already small figure.

As if on a sudden cue, Lăelynn turned and bolted away like a frightened rabbit. She knew when she started crying this time, and struggled to stay upright and continue running.

"LAE-................idiot." Malek began talking to himself, calling himself stupid for even trying to make a move on her. "Stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid! First Amaya, then Laelynn. " Malek then began cursing in ancient draconic. His mind translating the words as he went. I SHOULD JUST BE SWALLOWED BY THE DAMN VOID. I JUST.............I.......just....... Malek felt a tear roll down his cheek as he sat down on the bench, his hands covering his eyes........... "Father..............give me strength, I............I can't do this alone. Tears trickled down Malek's face but he made no sound.
