Malek frowned and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Laelynn I wont let you fly off without warning again. Please, why are you leaving?" Malek wouldn't let her leave so suddenly. Not again. Never again. "Laelynn......please." Please. Malek didnt even know what he was saying asking anymore. Just please.

Lăelynn felt a hand on her shoulder and let her wings droop. She limply fell forward and loosely hugged him. The dragoness' wingtips trailed on the ground and the flames burned low despite the sun's presence.

"I... I don't know what to do. I can't break my promise to Papa, and I can't go against my entire life's work to break someone's heart... I.. I need help."

"Well my father always told me. Sometimes some things must be broken to become right. Promises are sometimes needed to be broken and sometimes hearts are meant to break. What does you heart say Laelynn? You and only you, what do you feel is right?" Malek had no idea how to properly help Laelynn so he kinda just winged it. He wished his father was here to help Laelynn instead of himself. He didnt know what he was doing.

Lăelynn cuddled into Malek's chest. She didn't want to think about what she had to do, or what rules she had to break. Maybe... Just here... She didn't have to be a deity. They weren't supposed to tie together supernatural beings anyways. Did dragons count? Maybe. Sensei didn't have a bond.

Lăelynn buried her face in Malek's shoulder, trying her hardest to stop crying. He was just so warm and it felt so comforting..

Malek put a hand on her back and rubbed it gently. "Shhhh dont cry Laelynn. Everything is fine. Everything will be fine, what ever happens." Malek embraced her tightly. He didnt want to let her go, and if he had to, he wouldn't untill she stopped crying. "Please Laelynn......" There it was again. The please laelynn. What was he asking? Even Malek himself didnt know.

Lăelynn sniffled, burrowing deeper into Malek's hug. Ah, how she loved this warmth. This precious, familiar warmth. Yuè had the same comforting aura but he wasn't quite so warm.

"I'm lost... I don't know what my heart is telling me. You're really comfy though... Makes me want to never move."

Malek smiled at her compliment. "Well um thanks I guess. And dig deep Laelynn. What one truly thinks is normally buried deeped than someone's average emotions." Malek gave off a slightly warmer aura than normal but one wouldn't notice unless they were specifically looking out for that.

Lăelynn focused, the same way she would for reading someone's bonds, but on her heart. The rhythmic beat that had somehow aligned itself with Malek's. It was calming. Soothing. Like a lullaby without a melody. That was plenty enough.

"I'll stay."

Those two words were like a spark, the lightning bolt to start an incredible wildfire. Her wings burnt with a bright glow, larger than usual.

Malek smiled and nodded. "I had a feeling you might have said that. Are we still friends Laelynn?" Malek had to ask that question before all else. He didnt care if she didnt love him back or what she thought of him. He just wanted to stay friends with her above all else.

Lăelynn nodded, nuzzling into the crook of his neck. The dragoness hugged Malek tighter, already having forgotten why she was upset to begin with.

"Yeah. Yeah we are."
