So I'm working on a plot for my character Elizabeth. Basically it centers on her silver cuff, which is a magic item that helps her function normally, so if she's not wearing it she becomes weak and sickly and very fragile.
I need her to lose it.
For that to happen, I was thinking someone should try to bully her and eventually try to mess with her by getting rid of her precious cuff, or it could also be a very insensitive and careless person losing it accidentally, or someone who wants to pull a prank, or a thief.
I'm still not sure if I want Elizabeth to have a way of retrieving the cuff back or if she'll permanently lose it, but that doesn't matter much yet. XD
