"I can most certainly do that," Liliana said as she went to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of soda, opened it, and grabbed a metal straw from a jar on the counter especially meant for straws, chopsticks and other assorted doodads.

"Here you go," Liliana said as she placed the bottle on the counter by Haritia and went about cleaning up the counter and preparing things so that her roommate could direct her on how to make pancakes.

"So, a little more flour?" she said as she took out a small scoop and added it to the bowl. This time giving everything a good mix with a spoon before she did anything else.

While Liliana was cleaning, Haritia went over to where she'd placed the soda and stood up on her hind legs to take a sip. Getting some fluids into her already made her feel better. She smacked her lips and sighed in satisfaction before dropping to her fours again.

"Yeah, since that's what got everywhere and made you look like a frosted Pop-Tart," she replied, giving the psychopomp's dusted onesie a look-over.

She got a bit closer to peek into the bowl. She gave a couple more pointers, but there wasn't a whole lot that needed to be fixed after the mixer fiasco, especially since most of the ingredients were white, so there was no way to know how much of what was in there now.

After a moment, she concluded with a simple, "Ah whatever, it looks fine. Let's mix it and see what happens!

Grab a whisk and use that instead. Kinda stab the flour to let the milk cover it more, then... I dunno, mash it up until you can actually, like, mix it."

"Alright," Liliana said determinedly as she swapped the wooden spoon she was using for a metal whisk and began to move it around the bowl and mash everything together until she had a lumpy mixture in her bowl.

"This looks way better," Liliana observed. "It's kinda lumpy," she said as she held up the whisk. "But at least it's not all over the kitchen, or me," she grinned, wiping away some of the flour on her face with the back of her hand.

"Could add a little more milk to make it more pour-able. You want it to be lumpy, though! If you mix it too much and break up all the flour, the pancakes'll be chewy," she pointed out.

While Liliana was mixing, Haritia started to wander the kitchen, looking through all the bottom cupboards for pans. It took a little bit of skill to get them open without scratching the wood with her claws.

"How big should they be? You've got a lotta batter. We could make those big pancakes you get at diners!" she suggested eagerly.

Just as she looked back to give her idea, she knocked a pan out of place, which dominoed into three pans spilling out of the cupboard and making another racket. Out of reflex, the sphinx tried to grab one to stop the avalanche. Instead, she ended up putting three, perfect scratches on the inner side.

"Oh shit oh damn–"

Liliana was just pouring some more milk into the batter as per Haritia's suggestions when the pots came crashing down.

"What the... ?!" Lily cried out, so startled by the loud clanging that she almost tipped the whole carton of milk into the batter.

"Haritia?! Are you okay?" Liliana rushed to her side, carton of milk still in hand, as she looked first at her roommate in shock to the pile of pots.
