Vespa would pull her head off and shove it into her hands. "Just make sure to lead my body until we find a good spot to hide," her body would pull her hood over the spot where the head was.

The grim girl, would look up at her. "Just don't drop me or get ahead of my body," said body would reach out, trying to hold onto Katie's hand.

"Ok, let's find some losers to scare," she'd say with a mischievous, sinister look.

Katie

Katie frowned a little at the losers comment. "Aww, don't call them losers.. Call them.. ummm.. Something else?" Katie said as she found a hiding spot behind some bushes.

Hiding behind the bush, they would wait for what felt like an eternity to Katie. Though it was it was really only a few minutes. "Come on!" Katie said, peaking over the top of bushes. "What's taking so long? This is borringg." She groaned.

She perked up when she heard what sounded like someone coming down the path. "Oh! Oh! Someones coming, get ready!" She said. Once they were close, she jumped out from their hiding place and yelled "BOO!"

Yuki had been expecting a quiet walk back to his home that day. The sky was plain, the streetlamps gave off a bright yet soft glow and he had just enjoyed a lovely day hanging out with Gabe.
Who he was texting right now.
He couldn't keep the grin off his face as he tapped away at his screen, more unaware than he should have been but a year of living in Manta Carlos had softened him up and made him feel safer. For whatever reason people didn't tend to do much crime here. At least, not the kind of crime that put Yuki in danger.

This was all interrupted by someone jumping in front of him and shouting "Boo!" and the sight of a headless body suddenly coming up in front of him was scary enough to make him feel a little dizzy. The pure shock of it all sent him reeling, and he had to shut his eyes tight and try to focus on his breathing to keep him from passing out. He began to try to stand so he could run.

Vespa would cackle as the target fell to the ground, then she heard Katie say something, and the she was dropped. "Ouch, fuck, shit," she'd say as her head bounced and rolled stopping as she hit a lamppost.

"Katie....," she'd call out, her body now stumbling vaguely in the direction of the head. "Keep my body out of the street," her voice slightly muffled as her nose was pressed against the pole. "Can I get picked up?" she couldn't see what was going on and she was pretty sure her head was going to have a few bruises.

It took Katie a second to register who it was in front of her. "Yu.. Yuki!?" She yelled in surprise, before quickly rushing over to help him back to his feet, Vespa's head completely forgotten. "I'm sorry! Vespa was pranking people, and I kindagotropedin. Are you hurt?" She asked, before the realization hit her. She'd completely forgotten about Vespa.

Scrambling back from Yuki she tried to find where Vespa's head had gone to after she'd dropped it when she recognized who they had scared. "Sorry, sorry, sorry." Katie said, pulling Vespa's head off the ground, before quickly grabbing her body which seemed to be wandering around with out its head.

Finally, she turned back to Yuki, Vespa's head in hand. "Ummm.. Happy.. Happy Samhain?" She offered with a nervous smile.

Yuki stared at Katie, blinking rapidly.

What? A cold, slimy feeling slid down his back. He got up, dusting off his wet trousers as if he could get rid of the muddy water staining them.

He'd liked those jeans.

"No... no, not quite a happy samhain," he murmured. The words came out curt. Controlled. His expression was neutral. His manner was curt. "I hope you have a good day, though." Promptly, Yuki began to turn the other way and begin walking off. He could only hope that Katie wouldn't try and stop him, or else he didn't quite know how to keep his cool.

Vespa would watch as Yuki began scurrying away. "That didn't go quite as planned but still a successful prank she'd say with a snicker. Her body would take her head from Katie and put it back on her neck.

"We should find more targets," she'd say with a snicker. "Maybe we can find some good spots around where that ball is happening," she'd say. "Scare those losers as they go in and out of that dumb boring ball."

Katie

Katie wasn't really listening to Vespa, she was more focused on Yuki. "Yu.. Yuki wait! Please!" She yelled, grabbing his arm to try to get him to stop before he ran away.

"Here!" She said, just shoving her bag of candy into Yuki's arms. "Take this! And.. sorry about all this. I understand if you're m.. mad." She said, closing her eyes, and waiting for the inevitable.

Yuki felt a warm hand brush against his cool skin and turned, only to have a bag of candy shoved into his arms. What? Was this some kind of strange punch-hug one-two plan? Scare him, make him ruin his clothes and then give him sweets? What kind of game was this? And why had she grabbed his wrist? Had his life become a Korean Drama?

"I don't need it!" His voice sounded louder than he'd meant it to, and seeing her flinch made him feel all kinds of sick in his stomach. "I'm just going to go home." He couldn't bring himself to say sorry. Not just yet. But... no. He'd regret it if he didn't say it now. "I'm sorry for shouting. Goodnight." He put the bag into Katie's hands once more and turned on his heel, walking back the opposite way he came so that he might be able to buy a new pair of jeans for the day. He didn't want to be going around in soiled trousers for more than necessary.
