Private Boo!

It was Samhain and Vespa was enjoying herself. The group of kids would scream and go running, the half reaper laughing as she held up her head. Yes she was enjoying herself. These scare pranks were some of the few things that could make her smile.

Picking up her long stick she'd quickly move into a dark alley. She'd stick her head onto the stick, waiting until someone is walking by before sticking her head out and making it scream. The victims would scream and go running.

Vespa would step out cackling when she heard someone say her name. Turning she'd see Katie standing there. "Uh....hey...what's up?" @Big Jeffe

"Scaring people," she'd say with a slow snicker, removing her head and putting it back on her body. "You'd think these people haven't seen a disembodied head before....well they'll learn."

She'd step over to Katie. "What are you doing?" she'd ask, leaning in and looking her over. "You doing that American thing where people go around asking for candy?"

The reaper would lean on her head holding stick. "Wanna watch me work? Was gonna hold my head up to a few windows," she'd snicker again.

"Samhain," she'd say, "salmon is the gross fish that people eat." She'd accept the bag of bone chips, "good I'm starving, been doing this for hours."

She'd open the bag, glancing around before giving Katie a quick kiss on the cheek to thank her. "I mean, a lot of them run off before I can say anything," she'd devour a handful of the bone chips.

"Besides, don't you Americans do a bunch of scary things this time of year?" she'd ask between mouthfulls of bone chips. "Like horror movies and thos dumb fake haunted houses?"

"Nah, I doubt they'll come back for the candy," she'd finish her trips. "Besides I know you like sugar, so you should keep your candy."

She'd shake her head. "No....because the haunted houses here are actually haunted....plus I think that'd just be up breaking into a ghost's house."

"Scarry movies sound fun, but I wanna scare more people," she'd say, adjusting her head on her neck. "Have you ever tried scaring people? You might like it."

"Hmmm......ok for a beginner," she'd gently pat Katie's cheek. "I will teach you," she'd say with a hum, "if we had more time we'd get you more dressed up for it, I'd make you a skull mask."

She'd think a moment before smiling evily. "Oh, I have an idea," she'd rub her hands together. "You can carry my head whe we walk, shove it at people and I'll scream at them."

"Yes, yes, can you do that?" she'd ask, removing her head and offering it to her. "It would be perfect."
