After all the messages came in to Zoe's communicator the Bio-Android quickly computed through her possibilities and eventually came up with a plan for herself. Getting all of her systems running at one hundred percent she walked over to one of the maintenance hatches and pulled it open swiftly. As she was getting into the maintenance ducts she heard some people beginning to head towards her location.

If these shifters had any intelligence they would have scoped out where all of the Black Thorn security agents would be as well as the other security agents on board the craft. Rolling her eyes Zoe finished getting into the ducts and closed the hatch behind her as she heard the group of people entering into the room she had just vacated.

Not knowing if these were in fact friend or foe Zoe moved along and started heading towards the Bridge and the fighting that was supposedly going on there. As she went she sent an update via the communicator silently so no one would hear her talking where there normally wouldn't be voices. "This is Zoe, I am heading towards the bridge via the maintenance ducts. A group of people were heading towards my last known position as I left. Speculation, but I assume if this was planned than these impostors would have learnt as much about security personnel as they could before the attack. Caution is advised."

Zoe then sent a direct message towards Rosetta and Geo. "Anything that makes these impostors stand out? Or will I be needing to knock out everyone in the bridge until we know more about the situation?"

Elegius IV Escape Room

As things heated up over his earpiece Lazarus went to work making his way towards his location. The man was about average height with a solid build forged in his old profession, Piracy. It wasn't strange the pencil pushers put him on this job, probably thought he could impart some wisdom on all these other folks. Instead the purple eyes Prax had spent most of his time on the ship chatting up the company security and hitting on a hot alien who worked in communications. He was always alert to danger even when slacking so this breach in status quo was really pissing him off.

" Lazarus Rugo checking in from the sublevel. Making my way up to you guys." The message received no answer. He could tell as he got no response from anyone and the robot named Zoe instead broadcasted a message as if she hadn't heard him.

Now, he wasn't the buddy type but he was sure that no one hated him enough to let him die or care less if he did. Trying his communications one more time he still received nothing and decided to just focus on getting upstairs. That was until he heard a loud metal bang as if something struck a pipe. Turning and raising his weapon in one fluid motion the man trend back down the bleakly lit hall and toward the Escape room of the ship. It had several Escape boats docked and was the abort button for the ship and its crew.

Slowly creeping into the hall of the room he heard voices talking.

"Don't give me lip you, idiot. We only brought you for one reason now hurry the hell up." one high pitched voice said.

Another rose right afterward "I am, but these things take time. I ain't got enough charge yet."

Peeking into the room through the opened doorway he saw two people dressed in DiTech uniforms. One was messing with the escape panel on a life boat while the other watched him mindlessly. The faces didn't seem familiar. He had swindled almost every officer on this ship of some money in cards and he never forgot the face of someone in debt to him.

"Would you keep watch! The last thing we need is some damn earth rodent scaring the goop outta us." The man messing with the panel said silently but harshly.

"Fine." The other said.

Before the man could even train his eyes on the door Lazurus bursted into the room and pointed his weapon between the two strangers. "Raise your hands and step away from the boats!" the order startled them both and before he knew it the one who was kneeling opened his mouth and fired some green substance at him. Ducking down so it lobbed over him he shot the officer cleanly in the head, watching the body fold and bleed out. With haste, the second stranger pounced on him for his gun, though it only took a few seconds for Lazarus to realize who the stronger being was. Flinging the man into the hall and against its wall he took aim, but right before he fired the stranger screamed and a large wave of energy went out shutting down all the lights and whatever form of electronic was functioning down there.

Giving paced shot as the location of the stranger he kicked his foot in front of him to ensure he had hit his target. The body was lifeless and the man was dead. Whoever those guys are he didn't like em and gave each body a few more shots before turning the flashlight on his weapon on and beginning to sweep the sublevel of the ship. .While is heart was pacing quickly the back of his mind was thinking one thing.

"I sure hope those guys didn't owe me money."

Play of Events:
  • BlackThorn Operative Lazarus Rugo isn't responding on communications
  • The lower levels of the ship are dark due to a powered infiltrator, The cargo hold has a backup keeping it functioning.

Geo had not expected her own man to open fire on her, and it was only by the grace of her own reflexes that she was saved from the brunt of the blast. Instead of taking the damage full on in the face it instead hit a portion of it to the right searing off flesh inches in diameter around the eye. Reacting almost instantaneously Geo had her own weapon in hand and dispatched the Blackthorn guard as her survival instincts kicked in. After the act had been completed though the mercenary let out a disgruntled sound and knelt down beside the man she had just killed.

“Ma'am, are you Ok?” the engineer asked as Geo turned to face him, the right side of her face around the eye socket had been burnt clean off, the smooth metal skull and blue glowing mechanical eye socket now visible with the edges of the flesh still surrounded it continued to smoke from the blast she just received.

“I am fine.” the android stated, noting that the DiTech agent was now trying their best to not look at her face. “I will watch the door and you keep trying to figure things out.”

It was then that the Captains warning had come through and looking over to the corpse of the Blackthorn agent no longer looked like the man she thought had been with her. It was then that Zoe's message had come to her.

“I have no idea at the moment as I was just attacked by a man I thought was one of our own agents.” Geo replied. “I have no idea where the actual Blackthorn guard is, he may be dead. Or locked in a closet somewhere.”

Without taking a moment to rest Geo turned to the engineer.

“Report!” she barked out at him, deciding that now was a time for urgency instead of tact.

”Well, our FTL is out of commission and it seems that power on the lower part of the ship is a little,” the engineer paused while trying to find the proper words, ”well it is a little bit screwy at the moment.”

“Start fixing it, I will see if I can get help.” Geo told the man before reporting back to the rest of her group. “FTL engines down and power to the lower parts of the ship is operating inefficiently. I am now a man down here so anyone who could assist with repairs should consider making their way here.”

“A man down implies he wasn’t already an enemy before you shot him. Not that it matters anymore.” Dots entered the room, pointing his gun at the shifters limp form, firing several more times. “Never hurts to be sure though~!” He said cheerfully, grabbing the weapon off of the fallen shifter and observing it, strapping it to his torso.

“You can shoot if you want, but then you need to find another replacement. Don’t think many of the others would be able to fix a toaster, much less something like this.” He shrugged, moving over to the engineer. “What's wrong with her? I may be able to lend a hand. It's not a gun, but that doesn’t mean I can’t help.” He asked, putting a hand on the engineers shoulder.

Hiatus
Brün entered the cargo hold only to be welcomed by a burst of bullets. Brün backed up and pushed the two agents along with her, hiding on both sides of the doorway. As soon as there was a pause in the gunshots Brünhild leaned in and, after taking a quarter second to confirm the positions of the enemies, shot 4 times. Each bullet found their goal and the two enemies, who outside looked like one Blackthorn agent and a member of the crew, fell to the ground. Their forms soon returned to those of the shifters.
Brünhild stepped into the cargo hold and her two agents followed after her. Brünhild turned around to look at them and observe them for any injuries.
"Any injuries?"
Both shook their heads and Brünhild nodded. She ordered them to find and secure all the entrances and did a quick sweep of the cargo hold herself. Any of the cargo didn't seem to be missing yet and Brünhild didn't find anymore enemies. But she had heard gunshots. They had sounded like echoes, Brünhild concluded they had come from a lower level.

Brünhild returned to a more open space, the two agents were guarding the entrances. Brünhild lifted her hand and activated the comm in her ear.
"Brünhild reporting from cargo hold. Disposed of two shifters, no casualties from our side. I heard gunshots from the lower level, very possibly more enemies. Requesting backup if possible."
With that Brünhild went to take a position near the elevator that lead to the lower level. The spot allowed her to monitor the whole room.
"Report any sign of movement and do not leave your positions. If anyone approaches, even if they are an ally, hold them at gunpoint until I confirm their identity or give an order to eliminate."
Brünhild said to the two agents.

Aedan Drago

"This is Drago," Aedan would report into his comm, "were on our way to the bridge, sweeping as we go." His eyes would look to one of the guards who'd stepped a bit ahead of the rest of the group.

The lone guard sped up to the corner ahead, four other guards stepping out from around the corner, weapons raised, the lone guard turning to join them.

Aedan instantly formed an ionic shield on his arm, the gun fire hitting the shield, the other guards moving behind him for cover, firing back despite their obvious confusion. "Bloody hell," Aedan would lead them to the left, firing ionc blasts as he did, getting cover in a side room.

"Me and my guys are under fire," Aedan would say into his comm, leaning out to fire back at the enemy, "we're in a corridor on the way to the bridge."

The sisters kept in mind what chatter came through the comms, but at the moment, neither could tell if the reports were genuine. But when Rosetta heard Zoe contact her directly, she felt no bad omen from it. She always trusted her gut when it came to dangerous situations, and that applied to anything that had to do with shifters. This was the real Zoe. "They just feel off to me," she told Zoe through direct comms. "My sister and I just dealt with them a lot in the past, and we could sort of tell if someone was disguising themselves as someone else after dealing with so many. Look for any small mistake in detail that none of us would ever commit. They're likely frauds." The trio found their way to the door of the security room, and found the door kept open by an alien rifle, dead bodies of the officers shot in the back over their monitors. "Crap. Everyone inside, the doors look like they still work if we remove the weapon. The three filtered in and Jason knocked the alien rifle off from between the doors and they closed, locking out everyone outside from their position. Alias didn't find anything that would endanger them here, just useful things. She pulled off the dead officers in the seats and commandeered one of the consoles before contacting the rest of the team. "Aliasse reporting. We've secured the security center. The cameras on the bridge are frozen, but it shows that a firefight has taken place there. Those heading there, stay alert as the cameras covering the approaches are blind."

At first Geo was not sure if this was indeed one of her co workers or another shifter, but the slight arrogance in the way the other spoke confirmed to her it was indeed him. She let him pass and head to the engineer and watched as the two of them huddled around the machinery and got to work. This meant that Geo could get to work as well.

First thing she did was to create a crude barricade using crates and whatever else was available about a meter or so away from the door, it would not do to let others in completely unhindered after all. Next she double checked her weapons and got into position. Hopefully she could protect the others long enough to get things running again, or at least until some of the others arrived.

Zoe moved through the vent's swiftly towards the bridge she received a message back from Rose about how they have been dealing with shifters. It unfortunately wouldn't be able to help the bio-android in her own tasks. Sending a message back to Zoe saying that she understood. Now, the best way to go about this for her, might just be best to shock anyone she came across into unconsciousness.

It wasn't long for Zoe to find her first lone soldier carefully moving through the hallway. Down the hallway however a pair of other security looking types the two groups stopped and began shouting at each other. Deciding that this was probably a good chance to try to thin some numbers the bio android moved along the way until she was above the pair group rather than the lone soldier.

There was one of the pair that was at the back and so Zoe positioned herself and began to slide her tail out from the ventilation system. The lone soldier went quiet and pale as they saw the dark metal tail. The other two soldiers were still shouting, until the pincer at the end of the tail shot out grabbed one by the neck and immediately began to shock the man. The other two quickly began to shoot at Zoe's tail. This certainly made a lot of noise.
