Nathan had been out three weeks, long enough to hear about all the madness, long enough to move into his dorm, long enough for him to start classes, and long enough for the unpleasantness to start. Like today for example, it was cloudy all day, so he'd been able to go outside, buy a few things and start walking home. It was then that the unpleasantness hit.
He'd been sipping a blood pack when the other students appeared, one sprouting a claw and quickly slicing the pack open. The life giving fluid spilling onto his shirt. His eyes briefly glowed with anger, his anger management lessons kicking in. "Just....piss off...," he'd say, wanting to hit them, but controlling himself.
Soon the small group were mocking him, insulting him, bring up his parents. Today had quickly gone from bearable to complete garbage.
