Betting on Brownies

Smoki smiled as she walked into the elementary cafeteria, sniffing the air. It always smelled so good! And even better, her mom packed leftover cheeseburgers in her lunchbox! AND A BROWNIE! The only way Smoki could be happier is if she had more brownies, and it looked like a kid sitting at the table nearby had one, wrapped! Ooh!

The little corgigirl's tail started wagging as she saw the chocolate treat. It belonged to an older kid, but she was certain she could convince him to part with the delectable delight. She scampered over and sat across from him, beaming.

"Hi! I'm Smoki, What's your name?" She asked, her voice excitedly loud, though not quite over the normal din of children in the cafeteria.

Smoki looked at him confusedly as he bowed, her ears twitching.

"Whoa, why did you bow? Are you pretending to be a Ninja? Ninja's are cool." She rattled out, still smiling. "Tia! You have a cool name Tia."

The little Corgi's tail was wagging as she opened her lunchbox and pulled out her lunch. A cheeseburger wrapped in aluminum foil, a juicebox, a pack of fruit, and one of her moms homemade brownies!

She licked her lips, and fussed with her juicebox.

"Are you new? I don't know your scent, you smell new. You're new right?"

Smoki looked at him confused. "That's polite? My mom never told me that i had to bow to people. That's weird." She shrugged, before grinning.

"Hey hey hey! Do you wanna play brownie bets?" She asked, a devious gleam sparking in her eyes, her sharpened canines glinting as she grinned.

"Yeah!" She grinned widely, her tail wagging quickly behind her.

"Okay! So brownie bets! We play rock paper scissors! Best of three! Winner gets the losers brownie!"

She was excited! She loved Brownie bets. She never lost brownie bets.

Smoki laughed, and held out her hand. "Throw on three, okay? One...Two...Three!"

The little corgigirl threw her fist out, along with two fingers.

Smoki picked Scissors!
