Claire was relieved when she finally got to the lake. the fresh air, the woods, the scenery. It all reminded her of those long years in the wood. She sat on a rick right beside the lake, wondering if anyone was going to come, or if she would be alone. She brought her knife, just to be safe if someone where to be unfriendly, even though she could handle herself anyways."It's so quiet, I wonder if I should...." She looked at the lake, the temptation of using her power was overwhelming. "No, what if someone sees me? I don't want some strangers to know what I can do." She sat down on another rock. "My as well enjoy the view."

Gabe had come out to the lake as a means of looking for some poor soul to talk to. Gabe was lonely and he hadn't felt like bothering William right now, seen as he had kept the poor boy up half the night, the night before last, talking to him about God-knows-what, things that really wouldn't have mattered in the morning. He'd find Bill later he'd decided.

Gabe had discovered over his time at Starlight Academy that the lake was where lonely people often came, people who craved conversation but didn't know how to find it. Sure enough, he only had to walk a few feet before he stumbled across somebody.

"Oh!" Gabriel said, by way of greeting. "Hello there."

Maria thanked heavens for one place in the whole Academy that has avoided being turned into a field for practising soccer for some reason. 'I mean, we don't even have tournaments of any kind, and it's not like they ever get to play!', she thought, staring angrily into the lake. 'So why do they have to practise so much for the love of all?!', huffing, she threw a stone in the water.

<div align=center>Dee Dee could practically smell him. It was him. It was the Latino from her college classes, and Dee didn't think she could ever love a man as much as she loved him, whether or not that was true was completely unknown, the girl tended to change who she 'fancied' an awful lot. But right now, it was Gabe. At least that's what she though his name was, Gabe or Gabriel, something like that. Her ears flicked forward, an almost forlorn sort of look crossed the girl's face. Oh sir the things I would do to you. She stared at him for a moment longer, not particularly caring about the social boundaries, though she'd perhaps heard some rumors about him that deterred her just a little, she didn't know whether they were true, though.

There were other people in front of her too, one of which she'd never seen before, the other she vaguely recognized. She pounced to her feet, springing across to the shore where she could see the girl she didn't know and who she was mentally calling her boyfriend talking to each other, a soft growl rose from her throat, he was her prey, and God damn she'd take him if it was the last thing she did. At the moment, anyway, who knows if it would change.</div>

Gabe nodded, "It's nice to meet you Claire." He smiled, "I'm Gabriel, call me Gabe though." He glanced at her, "what brings you to the lake Clare?" He asked, although he already had an inkling. She looked like she was lonely or perhaps she had come here to take her mind off things. It seemed that was always the case with people around here.

As Gabe was talking to Claire he noticed another girl, a little way down, who seemed to be mumbling angrily to herself. She must be one of those people who had come to take their mind off things. Gabe seemed to think he'd got everything sussed out. When in fact, it was probably far from it.

Gabe turned back and noticed Dee Dee staring at her. He vaguely recognised her from somewhere. He couldn't place her name but he knew it began with a D, Deirdre perhaps? Deirbhle? He waved at her.

Seeing all these people around him, he realised he had got what he intended to by coming down here. Gabe'd been craving attention and social interaction and sure enough he was getting it.

"Nice to meet you." Claire looked over to her right where the lake was. "I guess i came here for memories." She sighed and closed her eyes to try to tell Gabe what she meant. "I mean, I've had a lot of memories with the forest, and with water. I'm just here to enjoy the feeling of home I guess."
The feeling of home? What was she thinking? Now he will probably think that she is some type of lunatic, living in a forest. She remembered that Gabe waved to something behind her, and half turned around to see someone else, eyeballing her.

<div align=center>Dee practically pounced on the pair, she let out what sounded like a bark, and suddenly she was in Gabe's face. "Dee Dee." She snapped, scowling at him for a good, long while. Damn he was attractive. He was ignorant though, but she could fix that. She turned around to face Claire all of a sudden, leaning forward a short way and studying her. She was young, and tweens could always be messed with. "Hello my name is Dee Dee I don't believe we've met before you must be new here or perhaps I've just never seen you." Her words came out hurried, and barely made sense.

Dee pounced between the two for a moment, looking from Gabe to Claire, and then back again. "So I've heard some things." She chirped, jabbing a finger at Gabriel, she giggled and beamed at him. She barely knew him and she was already accusing him of things that may or may not have happened, though then again that was Dee Dee all over. The day was cold and it was making her happy, Dee loved the cold, she woke up every morning hoping for snow, though it hadn't come, not yet at least, but she was still hoping for it.</div>

"Memories?" Gabe repeated. "Care to tell me?" He tilted his head at her, she said it reminded her of home. "But if they're too personal or you'd rather not that's grand too." He shook his head at himself, you barely know this girl Gabriel and yet you are asking her to share her memories with you? You dumbass! Do you know how creepy you sound?

"No need to be so snappy!" Gabe laughed, "I was just about to say 'hey Dee-Dee' but I was waiting for you to get into earshot." He smiled and then raised an eyebrow as she said she'd heard some things, "you have?" He glanced at her expectantly, "like what?"
