Draco placed sheets of paper on each work station slowly walking through each little kitchen station. He smiled as he wondered if the students that came today would enjoy the recipe. It was easy, no baking really, contradictory to the baking 101 that he was teaching. This would show that it did not take baking to make a dessert. He knew a few students from the list that he knew would show but he wasn't sure if they would come back seeing as he had left for 4 months before returning to restart his class. Instead he had made it an open class for anyone that wanted to come whenever. The class time would still be the same and the length of said class would also be the same or longer.

Making sure that each station had the right amount of ingredients he nodded and smiled before heading back to the front of the class and sat down in the chair behind his desk. There was the desk he wrote on and then the station that he used in the middle of the front. He had everything the same as the other station except the instructions. He had pretty much memorized the way everything was suppose but if no one appeared he would understand and would start again next semester.

"Oh Goddess, that was fu-—, " the blonde sighed in the middle and tugged at his own blonde locks as he made his way to first period. "Fucking awkward. I made that awkward."

His phone went off somewhere in the confines of the book bag slung lazily over one shoulder. His steps were slow and he didn't pay attention to the person in front of him so it would have been a complete surprise to him when he walked right in to Miya when the hall way merged and lead in to their classroom.

"Hey nerd!" She greeted with a nudge. Pushing the off button to her phone the girl deposited it in to her pocket. Rory hadn't thought of that since he wasn't wearing a hoodie as normal but a long sleeved shirt layered beneath a short sleeved shirt. It was a nice day so he didn't want to over heat himself, besides he planned to go running after school and it only took a quick change of pants to be ready.

"Hey Miya, I guess you were the one calling me? I don't suppose you nor MB think talking face to face is a thing any more." He yawned as they entered Baking 101 together and immediately moved towards their station. The brown haired girl smiled at him and put her pink book bag down on her chair. "We do but it's easier to pick up a phone and call. Besides you haven't been keeping in great contact since everything happened and we worry."

Rory pulled out his chair, deposited himself in to it and pulled their assignment towards himself to scan. "Are you sure it isn't because I have a new roommate and the curiosity is killing you? He's a virgin you know and the most purest kind there is." He said this casually while reading.

Draco didn't look up when the students filed in, but he did notice the voices that entered his class. One of his own and another of Miya. The two had met in his class and he figured out that the girl, Miya, seemed to have liked him, like all the other girls that came to his class. There were only a few that actually was there for the baking while the others were just there to goof off and look at their teacher.

When Rory pulled the assignment sheet to him it read:
————————————————————————————————————————————————
Baking 101 - Assignment: Bake a Party

Good day students! Thank you for being so patient with your professor, I have returned and that means that we need to celebrate. The seasons greeting is nearing and I figured since it is so close to the holidays that we would have a holiday party! Therefore at the end of this week we will be throwing a small party.

The assignment for this week will be the to create a dish, whether dessert or regular food, the only requirement of course is that your dish is baked. Be creative! The more creative your work is the better your grade will be.

Dessert Makers: Decorate! Be original with your designs, and try to make it as professional as you can. Think if you were presenting this to the headmaster of the school!

Food Makers: Mix and match your flavors! Create something that is not the norm. Let me taste food that will make my taste buds explode!

Remember the more creative your work is the better your grade is! If you do not have a dish you will get a failed grade on the assignment. If you have any questions come find me in my office or ask me after class.

————————————————————————————————————————————————

Draco waited for the last few students to enter his class before he stood. He waved at the few students that he remembered had returned and moved to sit on the corner of his station.

"Good afternoon class, today I thought we would start easy. Cookies. I'm sure a lot of you enjoy cookies, there are flour, eggs, butter, oil, and other things that will help you accomplish making cookies. You will find these things in the cabinets below you. If you want to do chocolate chips or peanut butter the stuff is in the cabinet shelves in the back."

The teacher would smile a little looking to Rory when he said chocolate. To most it would look as if he were just glancing over the boy to look at the people in the back. The girl behind them squealed a little and Draco could hear his ears twitch in aggravation. He turned the timer on and set it on the table readying his hand over the button to start it.

"Alright...you have 40 minutes, with the last 20 minutes of our hour I will taste test it after it has set for 15 minutes to cool. I would like for you to make soft cookies. If they manage to stay soft after the 15 minute cool down then you pass. Ready. Begin."

He tapped the button on top of the timer and smiled as he watched the students jump up to get things. Some went to the back while others stayed at their stations and opened the cabinets for their items. The teacher moved to the fridge in the back and pulled out a pint of milk. He poured himself a glass and moved to sit at his desk kicking his legs up and setting them on the desk. A sip of milk and he wondered how nasty and bad these cookies would be.

Rory ran a hand through his hair as he read off the assignment. A dish for the holidays in a party setting. Well, that didn't seem too difficult but he knew right away that he wanted to refrain from cookies, cakes, or pies because those things were overdone as it was and completely overrated most of the time. It just seemed rather ironic that, with those particular thoughts passing through his mind, that Draco would announce to the class that they would be making cookies today.

"Ohh, cookies!" Miya said in a low tone with underlining appreciation. She made her way towards their station to begin. "Hey Rory, I almost forgot!" She chirped as she stood on her tip toes to grab the flour from the top cabinets and sat it on the counter. The blonde pushed his chair back and stood to grab the eggs and butter from the refrigerator, "What?"

"MB's going to be transferring to our class today. I tried to call and tell you last night but you never pick up your phone any more.." she grumbled and pulled a whisk from their station drawer and then a mixing bowl from the top cabinet again. Rory found the chocolate in the fridge because he preferred his chocolate cold or frozen being the odd ball that he was but he exchanged the butter for apple sauce and brought the items to the counter.

Miya made a face when she saw the jar, "Why apple sauce?"

"It's healthier than butter or oil." He replied and grabbed the measuring cups to begin measuring out the ingredients he gathered. "So, this class or another one?" If he remembered correctly they also had math together. He cracked two eggs and emptied their contents before casting the shells in to the garbage. "This one, I think.." she replied distractedly while grabbing the measuring cups from him and doing some measuring of her own then adding their ingredients together. As if on cue there was a knock on the door. A boy with green hair and eyes stood on the other side of he door holding a piece of paper while he waited to be let in. Rory's eyes ran to the door over his shoulder and then to Draco.

Draco had to be call numerous times to stand and come for help. One student had used the teaspoon instead of a tablespoon. Another read the measuring cup from the top angle instead of at eye level. It irritated him that they did these mistakes but at the same time it irritated him even more when Rory and Miya didn’t make any mistakes. It sucked that he had to be this professional during school. Damn your morals Draco, he thought and looked into another mixing bowl. Shaking his head he would dump a little more flour and butter into it before nodding for the pair to mix.

The girl from the beginning of the school year had raised her hand and Draco sighed inwardly, except he plastered a smile onto his face and walked toward her. “Yes?” The girls voice annoyed the living hell out of him. “Mr. Kitahara! Will you look at my cookie dough and see if it’s the right consistency?” Draco almost chuckled, so the girl did know the words Mr. and consistency. He looked in and nodded a little dipping his finger into it and stuck some into his mouth. Tongue lashed across the tip of his finger and he would review the favor. “Its fine. Now roll it into small balls and set them two inches apart on the baking tray.”

The girl grinned and cheesed though it changed into a full-fledged fan girling that the teacher had paid attention to her and told her that the cookie dough was good. From Rory’s table he heard apple sauce and how it was better for you. Draco smiled as if he were proud. A student, lover was never a good thing but it seemed as if Rory took his class seriously and he realized that not once Rory had asked him for any favors to pass the class. He minded through a few more groups before he would glance up seeing a green haired boy standing at his door. He motioned for the boy to enter and waited to see what he wanted. “What can I help you with?” Draco looked to the boys hand and recognized the transfer slip. “Any particular reason why you want to transfer into this class?”

Rory simply took pride in the fact that he didn't need his teacher to point out the difference between a tablespoon and a teaspoon or which ingredients worked and which didn't. Really, they were too far in to the year not to be able to make something as simple as chocolate chip cookies. He smiled to himself as he and Miya began to roll their dough in to balls. Rory had preheated the oven that no longer seemed like his arch enemy and sprayed the baking sheet and warmed to keep the cookies from sticking. Setting the sheet out for Miya to place the balls on the blonde stepped over to the sink and filled the left side with dish water for the washing of their dirtied utensils.

He tried not to pay attention to the popular girl as she called Draco's attention to her. Rory grit his teeth and sunk the mixing bowl and measuring cups in to the warm soapy water and began to clean them while gritting his teeth. He didn't need to look over his shoulder to know the girl had a smug look on her face. A look which he would enjoy smacking off of her if he actually put his hands on females but he never had and wouldn't start now.

"Rory if you wash those any harder no one's gonna know what measurements they are.." Miya commented as she closed the oven door on the first batch of cookies. They had made a little more than necessary and would have enough for an extra batch. She smiled at him, "What's wrong?"

"Huh..?" He looked down and tossed the measuring cups in to the empty sink and Miya rinsed them and set them out to dry. "Me? Nothing, it's just that girl's voice is annoying. That's all." Miya seemed to eye him from the corner of her eye trying to seem less than obvious but accepted his answer at face value. "That's true, it is. Maybe one of these days I'll throw food at her next, eh?" She nudged Rory and he laughed and shook his head.

M.B. walked stood in the door way and presented Draco with his transfer slip. "It was an elective class and the teacher got called away do they had to split the class up for the time being until he gets back" he explained. It wasn't so much that he had chose this class as it was that he was put her for the time being. He shrugged with his hands in his pockets. He smiled at Rory and Miya, flashing them a quick wink before looking back at Draco again. "I won't be any trouble, I promise."

Draco’s hand reached out and took the slip from the boy’s hand. He glanced down at it as the M.B. spoke, he had the same issue and someone had taken over instead. So he was getting a few more students. It would seem as he glanced up and there stood two more with the same slip. When he turned to look at M.B. he saw the boy winking at someone in the class. He turned his eyes slightly to see the direction and in his direct line of sight it was Rory and Miya. Did M.B. know Rory or Miya. The beginning of something unsettling started and he would nod, not knowing he would soon regret perhaps letting M.B. choose his own group.

“Go ahead and choose a group to be in. I’m sure anyone of those will let you in.”

He signed the transfer slip and handed it back to the green haired boy. Motioning for the other two, he got the same explanation and he would nod his head back to them in response, give the same instructions, before signing their transfer slip. Draco’s eyes glanced over to the one named M.B. and his mind wandered again as he smelled burning in one of the ovens.

“Someone’s cookies are burning.”

Several groups ran to their ovens and opened the doors. There were several sighs of relief but one that cried with dismay. He looked and who would have seen that it was the popular girl that had asked for his help. He sighed and pushed forth his shadow. It snaked through the classroom floor past sneakers and closed toed shoes. Passing one in particular that thought she could get away with flip flops. He would deal with her in a moment. Blonde still hadn’t turned the oven off yet but was crying about how she couldn’t believe her perfect cookies had burnt. The shadow snaked up the oven and the dial clicked off. The annoying woman’s voice was trailing up to him now as she blamed the quality of the baking materials must be shitty and that the school could afford to use high premium flour.

Running as fast as she could she was late... really late. She spend so much time keeping an eye on Sekai and making sure he was okay that her scatter brain lost track of time. She slide and then took a step forward only to enf up tripping on thin air and falling flat on the floor."ouch that hurt. Stupid legs." She said manly to herself she then felt eyes on her and she seemed to turn bright red and shot up fast. Bowing "gomen..... sorry" she been around Sekai to much and hear him say sorry in Japanese that she picked it up as well. She looked around and saw the other students and blushed a little embaress. She walked up to draco. "Your the teacher right.? " she asked and smiled at him it seems everyone liked her smile at least that what Terrance said to her.

"I am blyth Solas sorry about being late my friend is at the nurse and I lost track of time. You know." She said smiling to him she pushed her purple hair behind her ears.
