If there was one thing Aloysius hated it was inefficiency. There was a mix up with his papers and he was now requested to resubmit his high school transcript. He would have thought the offices would be able to handle it considering Starlight Academy was very much all connected. There was a scowl on his face as he exited the records department. They really couldn't get someone to reprint it and run it down the damn hall? He huffed and closed his eyes.

Of course the raptor shifter couldn't see where he was going and bumped into someone. "Watch it," he growled. His current appearance probably wasn't helping. He was looking rather death metal on this particular day. With his sleeveless black shirt, baggy black shorts, and spikes and chains wherever they could fit. The outfit complimented his eye markings which people often assumed was makeup. He sighed, probably scared the crap out of them. "I mean, I'm sorry I shouldn't take out on you. It's just been one of those days."

Meanwhile, Eros' days have been stale and boring since he got used to his temporary wards. He wasn't complaining. There's no way he'd choose rabid girls chasing him down over boring days of almost no human interaction. This was good. This was very good. But he did miss having friends.

He sighed as he walked down a hallway. He was on his way to the library, when he made a turn and there, bumped into someone. What's with accidents like this, it's the second one by now?

Eros staggered backwards for a moment, looking up at the guy he bumped into. The guy seemed pissed, so he really tried his best to apologize. "My bad, didn't think of precautions even though this was kinda a blind turn."

Yep, the guy was definitely pissed. But the way he sighed and returned his own apology, Eros got the impression that he was just having a troublesome day. He shrugged. No, he wasn't intimidated by the guy's look and aura. He's met worse people before. Specifically an ass detective and a grumpy bar owner.

He rubbed his nape unconsciously. "You okay? I could... uh... help you if you're having trouble with something. Anyway I don't really have anything important to do."

Nothing important to do. Right. He completely forgot that he had to go to the library to renew his wards, or they were going to disappear in twenty minutes.

"I doubt it, there was just a mix up with some of my papers for this fall semester," he rolled his eyes. He wasn't even sure how to explain the situation to the other student himself. He just needed to drop his transcript off. The good news was this poor guy didn't seem too upset, anyone else and he might end up in a fight. Or at least trying to back out of a fight. On the other hand, aside from walking his dire wolf pup, he was more or less free.

This guy wasn't very busy and neither was he. And frankly, it would be nice having more male friends. All of the women in his life seemed to be snarky, sassy, and mildly hostile. This isn't to say he didn't enjoy the company, but someone else who's calm and rational would be a nice change of pace. "Well, my business is more or less taken care of. I just need to curse the records department out, but I can take care of that over the phone. And walk my dog," his voice trailed off.

"Anyway my name's Aloysius but you can call me Alo, I'm not usually this pissy," he extended his hand and smiled faintly.

"Nice meeting you. People call me Eros." Well, Alo was turning out to be quite a friendly guy. Eros smiled back and took his hand for a shake and quickly let go.

"You have a dog?" On normal circumstances, people that bump into one another usually just apologize and continue with their own businesses, but this time, it seemed like there was the common idea that this was a good opportunity to make friends. So he was resorting to small talk until Alo decides they were better off leaving each other alone. "What's it like? I'm not really that good with dogs so... I don't force myself to get one."

"Eros, I'll remember that," he said mentally committing the name to memory. It was one of his more notable traits, he was great with faces and names. The businessman in him wouldn't allow for him to forget such things.

"Well actually it's a dire wolf puppy. But he's really intelligent and well trained," he explained, smiling fondly at the thought of his puppy. In spite of the fact that it was a dire wolf, his pet was relatively tame considering pets other people on the island had. In spite of this the little guy was probably going to get huge down the road. "Actually he does understand human speech so there's that. He likes people that like him, sometimes he's a little too friendly."

"Dire wolf puppy? Sounds nice." Eros hasn't seen one before. Didn't know what they're like, either, but he'd trust Aloysius' word. It was actually reassuring to know that a creature like that wouldn't attack him for no reason. Unlike some people who had tried to do all kinds of things to him in the past.

"Can I join you and your puppy some time?" he asked. "It doesn't have to be today, but... that works too if you're cool with that."

A sheepish grin. Eros was unexpectedly not used to socializing like this anymore.

"I mean honestly, I'm not doing anything today so the more the merrier," The Raptor shifter replied. He hadn't planned on company, but then on the other hand, he rarely did. Though he was a bit surprised at Eros being so trusting regarding his puppy. Most people were skeptical unless they met him.

There was only one other question he had for Eros, accommodating people was important after all. "So then Eros, do you drink?"

Alo was generally low key but he could be a bit of a party boy when he was feeling it. His blood was equal parts coffee and rum.

Eros nodded. "Yeah, I... I drink." He chuckled, seemingly having reservations in his answer. He liked to drink, whether that's coffee or cold beverages or alcohol, and they were always welcome to him, but he knew he wasn't very strong against booze, assuming that's what Aloysius meant. He didn't want to admit it though.

He shifted, turning his body to the building exit's direction. And then he pointed ahead with a single nod, before briefly turning to Aloysius once more. "That actually sounds good right now. How about it?"
