His words felt softer and quieter, her ears twitched towards him to listen better. There would be more screen jumpers? The thought of it was thrilling and somehow daring. Savannah usually isn't one for big surprises, her instinctive reaction to surprises would be to feel threatened. But in front of her was merely a projection of moving images, they could not harm her. William was also beside her, she does not believe he would harm her.

Savannah rolled her eyes to him, then at her hand tightly gripped on the arm chair. William offered his own hand as a substitute. "Very well." She said with haste. Her hand darted into his own, intertwining their fingers. "If I happen to disfigure your hand I will not hold myself responsible." Again she quickly spoke. Her human strength was nothing worth noting, she was able in her own right but the fox is not a strong gallant warrior.

Don't worry. he said, half looking at the screen, because he didn't want to miss anything, half looking at her, and the way they hands met, because it made him smile for some stupid reason. My hand has survived worse, trust me. And it really did, though as most of those things involved Spirit, he thought it's better not to mention them in detail.

For the next 20 minutes they sat and watched the movie in silence, with only a few things, such as rocks and clouds coming 'out' from the screen. Then, the atmosphere darkened as the rescue mission was sent to the unresponsive planet, and it wasn't too long before the huge, metallic, dragon-looking thing was breathing fire at them, it's shape seemingly leaving the screen.

Savannah murmured to herself. "Yes, I'm sure it has." the idea of touching someone and being touched is a conception she has grow used to over time. So when William offered his hand she had no concern taking it into her own, after all she was a fox merely playing as a human.

Through out the various scenes of the film Savannah's hand would alternate between tensing and relaxing on reflex. She had first hand experience of the past and most of the present, but the idea of the future was so very vivid to her. All she could do was watch and just imagine, it was difficult to decide whether such things were impossible or not. Of course this is just a film, but the question "What if?" lingers in her mind.

It got to the bit they were waiting for, the dragon made it's appearance. For a moment she believed it was actually going to fly out of the screen into the room. Her hairs stood up on the ends and she bared her teeth as if to hiss back at it, her eyes and brows narrowed. It seemed as if the fox was going to get up and fight. This was a clear sign she was immersed into the movie.

Her handed tightened around his. "If it were me in their position I would think twice about fleeing for my own life." She quietly commented, throwing a glance towards William.

William gave a tight squeeze of reassurance in return to Savannah's, before nodding along her words. Me too. I can't see how anything but the cannon could bring that thing down. He of course knew that the metallic dragon wasn't real, and was probably made from nothing more but pixels on the screen, added to the scene after it was shot somewhere in the world, however, he was so immersed in the movie, that he started talking about it as if it was real, much the same way Savannah looked like she would attack the screen any second now, while on the said screen the small crew of ten man tried what William had just said: shooting at the beast. It didn't work.

I think they'll need a bigger gun. he commented quietly to her ear.

His words seemed to have a lasting effect on her, it was probably due how connected she was becoming with the characters in the film. After all it was the job of the director and his/her team to create a vision, a story with characters who you end up being attached to. Once you grab the bait you are then at the directors disposal. Will the character you root for survive till the end? Or will they be written off at the start? Or just at the end? Even if they die do feel it was a worthy or deserved death?

As if William could foresee what was to happen, they attempted the use of the large cannon. The sound and action sequence gave it merit, it felt and looked gritty and powerful. It fooled Savannah completely into thinking it would work. "Ha!" She gasped as the projectile was fired followed by a rumbling boom. The screen was filled with the dark smoke of the explosion, everything settled down to near silence.

However the smoke was shattered in an instant as the dragon like creature emerged with great fury. Savannah's face of hope dropped all of a sudden as if she were standing in the same room as the actors.

She quickly turned to William's close face, "They used their only option, it would take a fool with a ridiculous idea to over come that beast." She whispered back. As her head faced back to the screen her she shifted herself somewhat closer to William's side. Her face expressed concern. The fox was hooked and could not escape the false reality that was presented to her.

'A fool with a ridiculous idea', as Savannah said, turned out to be a pretty accurate description of a man that soon separated from the group, thus presenting himself as the main character of the movie. However, something happened that was somewhat unexpected. Instead of the using the hero's idea to save the day and him becoming the leader of the group, they soon witnessed as his plan failed, resulting in death of the youngest member, and the hero being spat and yelled on by the rest of the crew members as they made they way across the bare land of the planet, and away from the dragon. The metallic beast didn't follow them, staying rooted to one place... 'As if it was guarding something.', the hero though, still crying the tears of sadness and guilt, before the screen went black for a second, and the movie cut to the scene that showed the politicians and scientist left on Earth, waiting for the call from the space crew.

William simply couldn't get into that part of the movie. The politicians were stiff, closed minded people, which was one of the types he hated the most, to he turned his attention elsewhere for the moment. During the intense scenes of fighting, his right hand somehow found the was to Savannah's shoulder, hugging her closer to himself. A bold move indeed, yet he didn't even notice he had done it, although if the look of utter worry on her face was anything to go by, neither did she.

The story continued to unfold on the screen in front of them, the voice of narrator coming back as it told in short what happened over the next few days during which the crew still didn't send a reply. He noted the fear that he felt for them, worrying whether they were dead or alive, and he knew that he was hooked. The director, the screen write, whoever created this, was really good.
