It's amazing how one thing can lead onto another, the spontaneous actions that also occur. This was something Savannah picked up on from the people of today, it was easy to change plans and make quick decisions. Why? Because everything had sped up. The idea of wasting the day away seemed almost non-existent. Did she find this a good ideal? It was difficult to say for a creature that has lived so long, achieving nothing in years felt like no time to the fox.

Before she left for the night out with William, she made a point of changing clothes. Her party dress was fine, but she insisted on slipping into something more suitable.

Her new attire for the evening consisted of a long white sleeved buttoned shirt, a few buttons left undone at the top. A snug pair of light grey trousers matched with brown boots that stopped below her knees. On top of her white shirt was a light beige multi cape buttoned up, hiding her body and arms underneath. Her hair was tied back into a pony tail, leaving her front bangs hanging.

I've never been out into the city at night before, it does not even feel so dark with the extraordinary amount of light" Savannah spoke into the cold air walking along the side walk of the street. William had promised to take her to the cinema, it would be her second time going ever. She was excited.

Savannah threw a glance towards William. "So, what is this movie you mentioned of, the synapse?" She asked. Even if he didn't tell her anything, she'd be looking forward to it regardless. A summary of the film just helped set context.

Rather than going to change himself, William waited for Savannah in front of the dorms as she slipped out of her evening dress. The only change he had made was getting rid of the suddenly annoying mask, and ruffling his hair so it would stop clinging to his head already, making his teeth grind. Now they were walking down the streets of the city, as he tried to remember what the damn movie was about exactly. He only remembered thinking that that was some good action as he saw the trailer. Then it suddenly dawned on him.

It's set somewhere in the future, I think. he said as they entered the center of the city, thinking along the way how Savannah was right. If you were careful of where you go, you rarely saw a real dark in the cities nowadays. The human kind has spread to the other planets besides Earth and everything is going well until one of the colonies stops responding. The Earth, of course, immediately sends a military team to check what is going on, but the colony is really far away, and by the time they get there, everybody's dead, and there is just a giant metallic dragon waiting for them. He stopped at the corner of the next street, looking around as he tried to locate the cinema. He was pretty sure it should be somewhere around here, but he simply couldn't see it. That's about all I remember. he says, turning back towards her. The rest of the trailer was just a bunch of really cool fighting scenes and explosions. Perhaps we should watch it in 3D. It could be fun. Finally locating the secluded entrance to the theater, he lead her to the ticket office, getting some money from one of his pockets, pointing to the movie poster behind them. That's the one., he said, turning. Two tickets, please.

Her head nodded every now and again. Most of it made sense to her in some regard. The rest was mystery to her, the imagination doesn't spread as far as the sci-fi genre so she found it difficult to formulate a picture. Perhaps that's what made it allow appealing, the unknown. It was clear by William's explanation it was going to be an action epic.

Somehow she could picture the thought of the human race expanding beyond the stars as a superior. When an organised plan doesn't work, throw anything at it till the problem is solved despite the losses. That was how Savannah views humans. "3D?" She said not knowing what it was. "I guess that is ok." Going along with the idea she followed William through the cinema.

As she stood next to him she took a moment to look at the poster he pointed it. In the foreground it had young man standing with a stern expression, in his eyes you could see the reflection of fire and part of the dragons head. The background was filled a destructive environment. The waiting was starting to get to the fox, she wanted to watch it now.

"If I was not having to spend my time the the Academy I think I would be here, that or prowling the farmlands of the island." Savannah told William, looking up to him with a smile.

William had to smile back at her, finding her passion for the movies adorable. It certainly wasn't something you would expect from someone who has lived for more than a thousand years, as usually in the said movies, such persons didn't even know how to use a phone.

You know, I would have expected this to be strange for you., he said, giving their tickets to the young woman at the entrance and taking their 3D glasses from her, thanking her. Technology, movies so much instead. He opened the doors of the room for her, commercials already starting at the big screen. They were just in time.

Do you want to buy some popcorns before we go in? he asked, pointing to the stall in the corridor.

Savannah batted an eye at him. "But of course it is, I am walking blind but you are here to guide me no? Therefore it is fine." She spoke with honesty. It made sense to rely on someone more knowledgable in an area you were not, hand holding as some might say. She found it best to learn from the experienced, after all every year that passes there is something new to learn. "I trust your word so I have no reason to worry." She finished beaming a grin.

Soon after they retrieved their tickets and made their way to the allocated room, William's suggestion caused her to halt halfway through the door. She spun to look at him, thinking over the idea. "Ah, that sweet tasteless substance, hardly filling too." Savannah hummed. Her eyes cast away from William. "It is not to my fancy, last time I had it my stomach was in a twist of agony the next morning. I shall not make a repeated experience." She told him.

Savannah nodded and stepped towards William. "However the gesture was more than generous, we can still acquire it if you are feeling peckish."

William chuckled at her words, shaking his head. Nah, I'm fine. he said, waiting for her to enter the room first now that he knew that they weren't getting popcorn. Plus, even if I were, the popcorn wouldn't do me much good. I was always under the impression that they were meant to be something that would occupy you during the commercials at the beginning of the movie, since no matter how big the portion you took was, it's somehow always eaten before the movie even starts.

Seeing how the lights were about to go out soon, and not wanting to bother people once the movie starts so they could get to their places, William urged her slowly to go in.

Good to know you trust me so much. he smiled as they entered the room and sat on their seats. There weren't many people in the room, probably because it was a bit later at night, or perhaps because of the ball that was still going in the school, but somehow they still got the seats at the back of the room, only two or three lines aways from the highest one.

I hope I don't let you down. he said, putting on his 3D glasses and showing her to do the same. Thinking that he should probably warn her about things jumping out of the screen before it started, he added. Try not to jump out of your seat. It's not real.

"Hmm, I see." She nodded, taking her pleasure to walk into the screen room. "Trust you I may now, but do not let it dwell on you deeply. My trust comes from centuries of time." Savannah mused whilst lightly skipping her feet in small steps. She swayed side to side almost like a small child. Having found their seats Savannah pulled her tails round to sit on her lap. She patted them down with various strokes of her hand.

Her eyes cast over to William looking at him oddly. "Let me down? I can not see how, did I not indirectly ask you to take me out?" She put forward, reclining her back into her seat. Savannah accepted the glasses from him, at first she was about to say that her eyes were perfectly fine. But she did notice the few others in the room were also wearing them.

"Not real? Of course I know that, do not take me as a fool." She lightly retorted popping the glasses on and stick her nose up at him.

I would never dare to take you as a fool, trust me on that, you just, uh, haven't watched anything in 3D before, right? he asked, unsure as to how to go about this. Well, she'll see soon enough, he just had to make sure she didn't burn the cinema down once thing started jumping out at them. He then sighed, and started to say Never mind as the first thing jumped out at them, a shark that was a logo of some company that was being promoted in the commercials. Adrenalin shoot through his body even though he very well knew that it wasn't real, it was still just as exciting. He raised his hand like a child, trying to get the picture with his hands, before settling down, as the narrator of the film started to explain a history of the Universe to them, looking to his right first to see if Savannah was all right.

You alright? he asked quietly as not to disturb anybody.

She gave a firm nod to William, it was her first time with the 3D experience. Though she was determined to show herself off as a controlled individual. She had witnessed the human brutality over centuries of conflict, there is no way a moving picture could give her equally as much shock. Right?

However that is where she was wrong, during the opening credits Savannah's hand clawed themselves into the arm rests of the chairs. She noticed William raise his hand, instinctively she wanted to pull his hand down. She had been fooled into a false sense or security. Her body pushing itself back into her chair almost cowering. The shark in the screen quite literally jumped out at her. It was the size and sound that sunk her heart. The foxes eyes widened unable to look away, it was like she saw a ghost.

When asked whether she was ok she glanced her gaze over to William. Savannah breaths through her nose were a little harsh. "I believe so, I feel as if a couple years of my life have passed." She meekly spoke. She was still arched down in her seat.

"There will be more like that, yes?" She asked through the narration. Savannah began to immerse herself the prologue of the movie.

Hopefully, he said, lowering his head a bit so it would be closer to her, a lot more. And just as he said that, the scene at the screen fastened, moving between the planets as it traveled through the space, each jumping out at them when it was its turn to glow either green or blue, green showing the planets that humans have colonized, while blue signaled the ones empty of all life because of this or that. As the narrator continued to explain details of the story so far, he silently took note of the ways she was still sitting in her chair.

Carefully, you'll break the arm rest that way. he said, raising his left hand and offering it to her. Here, hold on me instead. If you want to.
