The undead wolves completely surrounded Corona. He had been forced to retreat from the Forbidden zone when they had ambushed Paul during training. Even though he had taken over, his abilities were to restricted in Paul's tired body to be able to take all the wolves at once. Maybe he really was a fool for believing he could train Paul's abilities. It was at that moment one of the wolves pounced at his right arm. Even though the sun had already set, Corona's golden glowing eyes allowed him to see perfectly in the darkness. He sidestepped away from the wolf and rushed at it, slamming his knee into the creature's jaw (and hearing a loud snap come from it) as it went flying into one of the trees. A wolf from behind him had entered the fray as he sidestepped though, and as soon as his attack landed Corona felt a creature's fangs bite into his shoulder.

He jumped backwards and slammed his own back into the tree behind him, dislodging the creature from him. He knew these actions were futile, however. For the creature whose jaw he had just shattered had already recovered from his attack. Undead never were the ones to feel pain.

It was at that moment a whistle sounded and the wolves fell back. Corona straightened himself and looked around at his surroundings. He couldn't see anything, but clearly heard a voice.

"I see you aren't nearly as powerful as you used to be, Corona. Those wolves should have been no problem for you." The voice seemed to echo through the trees and Corona found it impossible to find where it was coming from.

"Who are you..?" Corona asked, but whoever it was ignored his question.

"I really am quite disappointed. But I suppose it is expected when you're in a human body. I suppose I'll have to wait a little longer before destroying you.. it wouldn't be fun when you are this powerless.."

Corona tried to respond, but he felt his consciousness fading from him. Paul's hair and eyes returned to their normal color as Corona lost control, and Paul then fainted.

About 10 hours later, as the sun began to rise, Paul stirred under the tree, about to awaken..

Normally, Fallon avoided situations like this one, but after going for a late night walk, to clear her head, and finding this guy knocked out for a long period of time, her curiousity got the better of her. That, and she was too good to just leave him to all the hungry critters lurking about, and had fought quite a few since she'd found him. Her music trickled into her ears quietly, since she simply had her earphones around her neck, and she absently spun the metal rod that she'd fashioned to protect them, around her hand.

She heard him stir, and she turned and walked over to him, tapping him on the side with her rod. "Hey guy, wakey wakey. I've got other things to do." she watched him sharply, cautious as to what his reaction would be to her. She stepped away from him to whack an unconcious lynx over the head to keep it unconcious, and waited for him to respond.

As he slept images flashed through his mind. They always seemed to after Corona had taken physical control of his body. But they had been getting more intense. In his dreams he was some sort of warrior, fighting terrible demonic creatures. His speed and accuracy were incredible, he had never seen anything with such grace, even in movies. He noticed that he always had a sword in each hand. But they weren't metallic.. they seemed to be made out of light. But whatever they actually were, they easily decimated the demonic creatures. But no matter how many times he brought up these dreams to Corona, he never got a straight answer. Or at least nothing that really informed him of what they were.

He heard a voice in his dream, it seemed distant and sounded like a female's. It was then he awoke to some girl standing over him. He was confused and in pain. He had no memory of how he ended up here. He remembered Corona telling him he was in danger, but he was in the forbidden zone when it had happened. He sat up without even acknowledging the girl, noticing his tattered shirt and wounds. They didn't seem to be bleeding, but he was quite sore.

[Corona]> Good morning.
[Paul]> What... happened?
We were attacked...

Corona explained to Paul what had happened the previous night. Paul asked a few questions but never got any real answers for them.. per usual. It was then Corona pointed out the girl still standing next to him.

"Eh?" He looked up at Fallon, and his eyes widened as he hurried to his feet. "Oh! I'm very sorry.. I didn't notice you.."

Fallon shrugged. "Yeah, whatever." she muttered, glancing up at him for a moment, and whacking the lynx once more for good measure. She turned her full attention to him then, pulling the golden rod into it's original shape as a feather, and attaching it to the leather choker around her neck again.

"What were you doing passed out anyways?" she queried, brow raised. She placed a hand on her hip out of habit, and her long sleeved shirt slipped from her wrist, showing a bruise shaped like a full on bite mark. She shifted her gaze down to her wrist, and tugged the sleeve back into place. "It was kinda a bad place for it. If I hadn't found you, you'd have been kitty chow." she gestured to the unconcious lynx.

Yeah, Corona why didn't you find a better place to lose control?
You're right. I shoulda waited a few more minutes to find a better spot, nevermind the amount of permanent damage that would've been dealt to your mind and body. Don't act like I had a choice. It was lose/lose either way.

"Umm.. well you see... hmm... well I got lost and ran into some... wolves. I escaped but.. umm.. I tripped and hit my head I guess." He held his head like he was in pain, obviously lying.

Always fun to watch you failing to make up excuses.

"Uhh.. err.. but HEY! Did you protect me from those creatures?" He motioned at the lynx she had just hit.

Fallon snorted. He was really bad at lying. But she didn't say anything, and instead nodded like she believed him. "Sure." she replied in a bored tone to his remark.

She glanced down at the lynx. "Sure. It's not that hard. When you're concious." she shifted her weight from foot to foot, leaving out the fact that had she been a normal person, she would have had several badly bleeding wounds. Instead, she just had bruises. "You might want to be more careful where you hit your head, or next time you could wake up to a lynx gnawing quite happily on your arm."

'Fallon, where are you?' Topher's mental voice echoed in her head. She got a kind of distant look as she replied to her twin.

'I'm safe. Don't worry. I'll be back soon, just took a walk to clear my head.' She assumed that that had been a good enough excuse, because her brother was silent. She looked back at him, hoping he hadn't said anything that she'd missed while she was replying to her brother.

Corona pushed Paul to learn more about her abilities. It seemed he was really interested in what powers the students of the school had achieved. Paul wasn't sure why, but Corona seemed quite the intellectual type.. occasionally giving him the answers to test questions he couldn't figure out.

Paul had eventually noticed an awkward silence, however, and decided to try and break it.

"So, um..what's your name? I'm Paul" He extended his hand.

She took the offered hand and shook it. "Fallon." was her short reply, but she smiled a friendly smile. "So, what were you doing out here anyways? It's pretty hard to get lost out here." she cocked her head to the side, reaching down and turning down her music.

Normally, she was pretty friendly and cheerful, but after protecting a complete stranger from all sorts of annoying critters for half the night, she was tired, and feeling kind of snarky.

"Um.. well.. I was just on an evening stroll I guess.. when the wolves attacked me. I fought off the whole pack, though!" He made really corny karate-style moves as if to demonstrate taking on the wolves. He neglected to mention the fact that not only did he technically lose against the undead wolves, but he wasn't even the one fighting them. Corona was too busy laughing at him to scold him for the lies.

She coughed, covering a laugh that she couldn't hold in. Then she rubbed her mouth to get herself under control. "Right." she dipped her head in a nod, placing a hand on her hip, eyes dancing, though her face was completely straight.

Then she smirked, assuming a correct karate pose. "Well if you were using that kind of karate, no wonder you knocked yourself out." she returned of her original position, allowing a small bit of laughter escape her mouth. Then she turned completely serious. "Sorry. Um.. now that I think about it, your eyes have that funny quality to them.." she frowned, "turn around. I want to make sure you're not bleeding."
